Needed an additional Christmas gift for our son visiting in Portland, Oregon from California, Never brings a heavier coat but just a hoodie and we were having a cold spell. Offered to have him pick out a North Face jacket to be left here because he didn't need a warmer coat for the California climate. He selected this coat that had a warmer liner that could be unzipped and taken off with the option of using the outer jacket alone. A perfect solution because it looked great and could be used for both the warmer California climate and also for colder weather in Portland with the liner. He, of course, chose to take it home and not leave it here so it will get much more use.

I order it L since u usually use that size even that I am not 6 feet tall and it fits perfectly. It really works for the wind. Don't know for the cold yet.

Got this for my 17 year old son and he absolutely loves it. Probably the most elegant, flattering and practical jacket he's ever had. The fabric feels fantastic. Lightweight and soft yet waterproof. Perfect for hiking and skiing - and posh enough to wear into the city for dressy events. Such a nice coat that I'm planning to get one for myself as well.
