Hard cushion counter the benefits of lightweight and comfy fit of these shoes. They feel as if no cushion at all to absorb shock from running. Think about it. These shoes are meant for fast or road running, but no to little cushion to support/protect knees or else in the feet when pounding your feet for speed. My knees hurt. I returned them in the end.

My first run 10 miles in these shoes and my front foot kept slamming the ground. I did break themn in by wearing them in the house but they are getting returned. I've ran over 1,200 miles since last year in Asic Noosa Tri 14's I'll stick to them. They do fit true to size and are stylish but not my cup of teas

Very stiff, hard cushion. Had knee pain after running. I'll stick with the ghost!

The shoes are super light weight which is great for running and daily walking however, it's really lacking in the sole department. It felt like I was walking on the floor. I figured in that train of through they wouldn't last past a month so I returned them.

Initially feels good, ultimately feels flimsy and cheap

Plus: The shoe is super light. The sole design is clever and the grip is good.
Minus: My typical run in this shoe was 4 miles. By the end of the run, I am feeling it in my hips, lower back and knees. The next day the soles of my feet feel 'beat up'.
I tried using aftermarket insoles but that did not help much. I'd say they are just not cushioned enough for me.
I also run in MA, this shoe would be too cold for winter conditions.
To add some perspective the other shoes in my rotation are New Balance 880, Brooks Ghost 14 and Saucony Hurricane. I use aftermarket insoles in all three.

Unfortunately, not the shoe for me. Where the reinforced toe meets the mesh had the perfect placement to get caught between my toe and my toe nail resulting in the complete loss of my toenail. Super bummed as I've never lost a toenail before.

The ones I received had someone else's dog hair inside shoe. The insole felt strange from my big toe all down the arch. Almost like arch was too narrow. Returned.

Old models: Black/White, Gray/NeonGreen, and White/Black are great!!!! New models: Black/Orange the material is too stiff. The molds are correct but someone from Quality needs to check material and sourcings specs. I?ve bought over 20 pairs of the old models and have no foot pain. Buying any model post black/orange rollout hurts my feet and the break pattern is at the mid-foot vs breaking at the metatarsal.

First and last time buying this model. Toe box is incredibly small, and causes great discomfort after wearing for more than a short amount of time

I really wanted to love these shoes but the material is so light that it offers no support. I have a natural instep and with no support from the shoe it resulted in chaffing on the arch and blistering. I cannot run in them. I will stick with the Ghosts.

I'm flat footed so they didn't work for me, I like the Ghost ones, thank you.

Fit was great, they're extremely light and responsive. Plenty of cushion but still "fast."
I'm exchanging these b/c after only a few runs I noticed a chunk of the heel had torn and come loose from the bottom of the shoe. I have worn these on a treadmill 3 times and on pavement (city sidewalks) 3 times. I've not used them on any type of gravel or trail type surfaces. Unfortunately Zappos does not have my size in stock, so I'm hoping the 11's have enough room. I really like this particular color but I'm not too crazy about any of the others. Overall loved my brief experience with these shoes, but expect higher quality for $150. Hopefully my case is an outlier and not the norm.

Put in 45 miles across 3 runs. Great weight upper and tongue. The shoe laces are too long and elastic. And like all brooks shoes it seems too narrow in the toe box. First run it tore open the top of my left pinkie toe and bled through the upper. So I aggressively stretched them which seem to solve the issue
I can deal with the annoyances above but on my last run, the left insole slid back from the toes (excessive sweat I suppose) and crumpled / folded under my arch. Had to pull it out and run the last two miles without it. Now the insole is creased and won't sit flat

The insoles in both shoes feels different, one is smooth, one is rough.

I liked the weight and run-feel of the shoe, but was very disturbed by the stiffness of the collar. It was digging uncomfortably into the underside of my outside ankle bone with every step in a way no other shoe has done before (the very bottom of the fibula, lateral malleolus area). I'm used to the cushioned collars of the Ghost and Glycerin (my current go-to shoes), and really struggled with this aspect of the Hyperion. I'd gladly sacrifice a fraction of an ounce for an improved collar system.

I purchased these thinking I was purchasing the pair with the carbon midsole. Not the case.. the quality, not worth the price. But they are very light due to the foam sole. I will continue using ghost 13 by far better running shoe.

I'm blistering from these shoes around my small pinky toe. I've logged about 50-60 miles in these shoes and they just don't seem to be working for me.
In my opinion, these shoes are built more for speed than cushion and support. The Brooks Running Guru told me they were a good balance and were recommended for Marathon training/running. I'm personally looking for a bit more cushion and support over long training runs rather than speed.

I like the style and lightness but the construction is flimsy and the heal does not "grip" as well as a shoe like the Brooks Ghost (which are awesome). The tongue slips and my ankle rubs uncomfortably on what is a "sharp" inner edge. When slipping off the shoe using my other foot the heel is starting to separate from the shoe (granted, this is probably not the best way to remove shoes but it's how I do it anyway and my other Brooks are fine with such harsh treatment). I will not be purchasing another pair but will continue to purchase other styles of Brooks because up to this point my experience has been consistently 5 star with other items.
