They felt narrow on my fat feet but I adjusted and they stretched out. I’m a woman and got the mens because they’re a little more wide. I run 4-6 miles a day and they have lasted me about 7 months now where other light running shoes last me like 3 months. It’s hard for me to find shoes I like because of my shin splints and I’m just picky on fit. I’m going to buy another pair of these to replace mine. I don’t plan on switching anytime soon.

There is not much padding in this shoe which is great. I am recovering from Turf Toe and this shoe helps me strengthen the muscles in my foot and lower leg that have not been used while my foot has been in a boot. I have no pain and can walk an hour in them. I've tried 30-40 shoes. This shoe and the Brooks Tempo are the only 2 shoes I can wear due to Turf Toe.

Everything about this shoe makes sense. It holds my heel so it does not pop out when I run or turn, and the tongue is made with a grippy material that prevents it from moving about much. It is a very fast and light shoe, but has enough cushion to sustain longer runs 6+. Even though this shoe is not rated for stability, it has a wide outsole which helps (I would know because I have a tendency to twist my ankle). I am on my second pair and there will definitely be a third.

These are the best shoes I have ever owned. I used to get injured often, but training in these shoes enabled me to increase my mileage and complete a 50 mile adventure jog, and my first marathon, finishing under 3 hours.

Love the minimalist upper, light, but cushy midsole and stretchy laces. So light, but fits so well!

I honestly can't say enough good things about this shoe. Lightweight, snappy, responsive, comfortable - the sole is everything you want a fast trainer to be. The upper is decidedly minimal, which works for me. If you like a lot of padding around the top of your foot, it might be a bit thin, but again, it's perfect for a fast trainer.
Cons are pretty minimal. I get a little bit of lateral drift on the tongue while I'm running. Doesn't really effect anything though, so it's not a big deal. Also, the traction on wet/icy conditions isn't particularly great.
In conclusion, this is probably my favorite road shoe I've ever run in, especially for fast workouts and long tempo runs.

Versatile, light, and fast. Use it for fast intervals and long runs. Although the light weight comes at the cost of warmth. Will need warm wool socks for sub 20 degrees F runs Lots of ventilation. I wear 0.5 size larger in all Brooks.

Perfect racing shoes. They hold up well and are light enough to get the PRs done.

Purchased the Tempo for a lightweight racing shoe. Quickly fell in love with the fit, responsiveness, and comfort. After several road races in the Tempo, purchased another pair and promptly put nearly 500 miles on the trail. Sounds counterintuitive to use this shoe on the trail, but held up without any issues and really comfortable. The weight is certainly an upside so you barely feel it on your foot. Highly recommend this as an everyday trainer, option for those quick runs with speed, road races, and even for well maintained trails. You wont be disappointed.

Just received my second pair, first pair is still in rotation with over 400 miles and very little wear unlike other models I've had.

Great shoes. I loved the last pair so much I ended up using them all day long. So I needed a new pair for training. These are great, literally no issues. Light, comfortable and everything I need in a running shoe.

These are my favorite Brooks shoes! My pace improved drastically, and my running feels natural. I could definitely keep buying these shoes for many years. If Brooks makes a new version, I hope they keep selling this one just in case.

Best show I've ever had. My only complaint it they are a little narrow but they have lasted longer than any other brooks shoe I've got over the last seven years. I'll be getting another pair. If they offer a wide versions. Had them over a year and half and most shoes don't last 6 months with me at work walking. I love them. Wear them everyday for everything even if I hike or ride my motorcycle. Would definitely recommend and they still look good and never washed them

After my old speed trainers died, I needed a shoe to replace them. After a lot of research and annoyed wife I finally decided on the HT's. Checked all my boxes. Durability yes. Speed yes. What they also offered was a shoe that I could slow down in for extended warm ups and cool down and remain comfortable and kept my legs fresh. After a year of rotations still look forward to putting these shoes on. Still as comfortable as the day I bought them. Lightweight. I genuinely feel this is a
Speed shoe that can do everything if speed isn't your thing.
The only thing that took a little used to was the laces. They stretch. Finding the right tension was strange at first but I have grown found of them. When those grueling tempo days start to wear on the tops of my feet the laces give just enough stretch in them to prevent pain but give a nice secure lock down.
It's been a year of training in them (I do rotate with comfy long run shoes) and Wear on the soles is still minimal. Cushioning is great. Uppers look new.
With it being Wisconsin and off season I just ordered a second pair to use on the dreadmill for both me and my wife.
Thank you brooks for what I feel is a perfect speed shoe or a really solid all around trainer. Don't change gen 1. Not sure how it could be improved.

I run a 18:36 5k everyday on a treadmill. I've owned the ghost 13's and the levitate 5's. The brooks tempo is the best shoe I've ever ran in. Light, comfortable, and built for speed. I want to try the elite 2's to compare, but I'm happy with what I have in the tempo.

I'll start by saying that of all the running shoes I have owned in my life (my first Brooks shoe), these are my favorite. To any Brooks newb (like I was in the recent past), buy these you will never look back.
