These are for my wife Jill. Got them to keep my feet warmer in our north west PA winter. My feet stay dry and warm but feel the souls are a bit slipper on ice. Otherwise they are great. Really enjoy finishing a 10 mile run with dry warm feet on snowy winter days.

I am a true Ghost fan! These shoes however seem much stiffer than other Ghosts I own. Because og the GTX, maybe??? Footbed feels less cushioned.

They are a little tighter across the toe box than my former Ghost shoes>

I am really enjoying these shoes. They don't have the arch or padding/cushion of the Adrenalines I've been wearing for a few years (non-GT). My feet stay warm and toasty during morning runs, which is key for me to get though the winter.

Love the Gore-tex Ghost. The latest model 13 seemed a bit more narrow fitting and the body material is not as soft as earlier models. It is more rigid. The Ghost Gore-tex shoe is the only one I run in during wet conditions.

I've been wearing the ghost 13 for walking for several years. they are a little large for me around the top above the toes, so sometimes hard for me to tie tight enough. also, thought there was a little less cushion in the sole than the last pair i had

Nice, like the dark color, sturdy yet flexible.

Love these sneakers, by far the most cushioned of the Ghost GTX that I have had. Had to leave out the fifth star because the shoelaces will not stay tied unless I double knot them! Not sure if this is a fluke or this is just the typical new GTX shoelace. I have not had this issue with any others so it's back to double knots like I used to do on my kids sneakers!

They provide quite good support and my feet have stayed nice and dry during Seattle rains. My only negative comment, and the reason I did not give it a 5 star rating is that the padding around the top of the shoe and the tongue is not as soft as the previous Ghost shoes I have had. Also the shoelaces aren?t quite as nice. I have always loved Brooks shoelaces. Please bring back your previous versions.

I am a huge Brooks fan and own the original Ghost 13s, so when I saw a Ghost GTX option, I wanted to get them for hiking. Unfortunately, these fit a just bit smaller than my other Ghost 13s and the upper material is very stiff and uncomfortable—I'm afraid it will rub blisters onto my feet if I wear long-term. Sadly, these were a miss for me.

I have worn Brooks Ghost Goretex for years. I ordered the same size as always, but my toe hits the end. Also, the toe box felt small. Love the Goretex and the style but they didn’t fit.

I typically live Ghost, however, these are way too tight on top of my foot and I will need to return them. :(

Unfortunately, I?m not impressed. The 12s were much more comfortable. These seem to fit more narrowly and aren?t as supportive. I gave another star than I would have because they have kept my feet dry while running in the PNW.

I'm disappointed with the Ghost 13 GTX. I've bought several earlier versions of Ghosts over the years and was happy with them. But the Ghost 13 is a lower quality. I wear them while walking 2-6 miles per day. My prior pair, Ghost 12, was softer and lighter. The 13 doesn't have as much padding around the opening or on the tongue, and it's not as cushy as prior versions. The insole doesn't have as much cushion, and the outer sole is "hard" compared to the Ghost 12. When you take a step in the 12, the shoe feels very light & cushiony, and there's hardly a sound when your heel hits the pavement. But in the 13, it feels heavier and "harder," and the heel hitting the ground is louder, as with dress shoes. And even the shoelaces are cheaper! They're not the 2-toned laces of the past, which Brooks fans loved. The new laces are a solid black, made of a cheaper-looking material, and they're awkwardly longer by about 6 inches, requiring double- or triple- knotting. The good news: The sizing is consistent with past versions, and the Gortex works - I've worn them in moderate rains and my feet/socks have stayed dry. And even though they're not as comfortable as prior versions, they're still fairly comfortable. If someone had never tried Ghosts before, their assessment might not be as harsh. It's just that compared to prior versions of Ghosts, the 13 is a definite downgrade. Please, go back to the Ghost 12 and scrap the 13.

I have a pair of Ghost 12s that I love, so I ordered the Ghost 13 GTX in my same size to commit to some outdoor winter running. I do have wider feet, but found the toe box to be fairly tight and the shoe to be rigid so not very comfortable. I also noticed my heel slipping up in the back, which felt un-secure but has also turned me off from getting a 1/2 size larger as I think that would exacerbate the heel slip even if the toebox was more comfortable. So, back they go!

I was very excited to see that Brooks had a road running GTX shoe as not many other brands offer this option - most brands only offer GTX with trail running shoes. I live in the PNW where it rains most of the year so finding a GTX road running shoe is a necessity. I love the Brooks brand and have a pair of Revel 3's that I am particular fond off so I was bummed to find that the only model with GTX was the Ghost. I decided to give them a shot and I'm still working to break them but after 20 miles of running I would say that I have a good idea of what these offer. They are pretty heavy which changes my gait entirely. I also have noticed that they are a bit slippery both inside the shoe and within the tread which doesn't make me the most confident running in them on a wet road. I also have noted that they are very rigid which is not something that is great for a running shoe, I would prefer a little more flexibility in the shoe. Lastly, I was a little bummed about there only being one colorway of this shoe that has so many colorway options for the non-GTX options. I'm not they biggest fan of all black shoes and yes that has nothing to do with the fit and performance of the shoe itself but just something I look at when I look at shoes.

Definitely NOT for runners that need support. These are awful. No support, makes my legs/ feet ache. The same for Trail GTX shoes.
Living in PNW, it rains. Need a shoe that has support like Adrenaline. Not everyone can run in neutral shoe.
I've resorted to using "Flexseal" or duct tape on old Adrenaline's I have to keep feet dryer.
Even using old stand-by of bread sacks on feet in shoes to keep feet dry.
Is there ever going to be a support shoe that is GTX? I cant be to only non- neutral runner.
These are great for the Neutral runner who wants a lot of cushion though. And stay dry.

There is no wow factor in the shoe. The inserts are flimsy and thin. For the price I would've expected extreme cushioning. It does fit true to size with nice room in the toebox. The Gore-Tex waterproofing is the only upside. I actually had to put in my Keen shoe inserts. Helped a little.

There is no wow factor in the shoe as far as comfort goes. For $170, I would've expected a cushiony, soft insert-yet, it is thin and flimsy. I had to put my Keen inserts into the shoe. The Gore-Tex waterproof material is the only upside.
