Great fit, wore them all day the first day.

True to size and fit

I love these shoes but the newest pair has broken down at the heel tab/collar on both left and right shoes. Before you assume that it happened because I jam my feet in them without loosening or untying them, I am a 71 year old grandmother who knows the value of a dollar. Also I’ve had many of the ghost versions over the years and this has never happened before.

Although these shoes have little arch support, I was able to remove the insole (which made me feel it was causing my ankles to roll outward more than they normally do) and replace with my orthotics. I bought a 1/2 size larger to achieve this but now feel like I have relatively secure footing under me. I have extremely difficult feet to fit. 10.5 N with very high arches that cause me to supinate. Most shoes steel to correct pronation not suppination.

This is my fourth pair of Brooks Ghost 13 - I use them for walking roughly 30 miles a week. Love the fit. Last about 325 to 350 miles.

Normally I wear a 10.5 N but I found I needed the 11 to accommodate my custom orthotics. Right out of the box, with my insoles, these feel great.

I have plantar's fasciitis and I don't even have to wear my plantar's insoles with them. I have to say that the Ghost 12 WITH my plantar's sole were actually somewhat better. These do not work with my plantar's insoles. That is a pro and a con. I gave 4 overall because I am pretty happy with them so far. I gave a 3 for comfort because they are not as good as the Ghost 12 though I will keep them. What really gets my goat with Ghost 13 is I also ordered a darker color and I have to return those as I cannot wear them at all. Same size. Same brand. Same model. And yet the fit is quite different. That is very strange. I am reviewing under a separate review.

The shoes are amazing and comfortable! The "hushed violet" is more like a blush pink. Definitely did not expect that and it was a bit disappointing as I wanted something more muted like the picture. Overall they are great shoes and that minor detail I was willing to overlook.

The shoe is very comfortable, lots of comfortable room for the toes.

I had to return the first pair of these. After about a week of normal wear the left toe box form cracked or creased. It would collapse and pinch my toes. overall the shoes are comfortable, so I bought another to replace them and sent the defected ones back. Fingers crossed these work out.

I have several pairs of the Brooks Ghost 12 which are very comfortable for this supinator. I was therefore disappointed with the Brooks Ghost 13. I have the same issue I had with the Ghost 11...too much arch support. My arch is painful even after several orthotics and numerous tries. I have been to a podiatrist and my feet are fine. Unfortunately, I cannot return them as I have worn them several times.

Black/Pearl/Hushed Violet does not look like the photo. They are dark gray, not black, & more pink than purple. I returned them since I need black shoes.

Great shoe! However, it was recommended to go a half size up, which I did, and found that my foot slides a bit too much in the front. Overall, it is a great shoes ans provides the support I need.

Nice width in toe but little arch support which surprosed me for Brooks.

Fit perfect

Disappointed that the size I usually wear has changed...to a smaller size. It's too tight and barely a medium width. Couldn't wear them for long so I can't tell if the support would last.

Very cute shoe and felt like it would be very comfortable. But, my arch didn’t fit right for my foot. My daughter has them and loved them.

These are the second pair of Brooks Ghost 13's that I have purchased, and I plan to order another to keep in case they quit making them. I have hard to satisfy feet and these are great!

Great Brooks style, fit & color choices, but lacking comfort in the forefoot area. The Dyna Loft drops off at the toes, feels weird. But the Ghost 14 is much improved here & in the heel. Wide width is perfect, nice rounded toe.

I tried this Ghost 13 and the 14. Pretty noticeable difference - the 13 doesn't have as much cush depth under the toe area and the heel area as the 14 does. Brooks told me that on the phone, and you can feel it as you step forward. The toes kinda jump off a ledge at the end of your step, and the 13's heel is firmer. But the 14 has much more dynaloft in the heel and all the way to the front. It's really supportive feeling around the foot, with a noticeable arch. The toe box is nicely round, not pointy. Great fit!

Love brooks ghost shoes. However these don’t have the cute factor and I feel they are a bit big. I’ve had at least 6 pair and never. Felt this way about the fit.

I usually wear size 6 shoes and ordered size 6, but it was too small for me - there was not enough room in the toe box.

Toe box Roomy, True to size unless you wear thick socks, then size up by 1/2 and get adhesive anti-heel slip foams if that's a problem. With the insole that comes with it, feels a tad springy to step or walk so that makes it comfy too. Cushioning, not squishy but adequate, certainly not hard. Great support, though my high arches wish for a little something extra in that department. The existing innersoles do have the high arch shape to them, but are just thin with no long-lasting or built up arch support. (I don't know why the ratings choice is either "no arch support" or "Moderate arch support" - I would have picked "low" if there was that.)

They ate attractive comfortable shoes but I have a plate to wear under insole and if I put that in i then I have squeaky shoes so can not use it—they are comfy- the material is like what’s being used in all Brooks and after a cpl months of walking between 3-5 miles a day that material gets holes in toes—-my feet are both the same but the 9 had to be increased to 9.5 for my left foot
