I have to say my Ghost 12 provided more support and not so loose around the foot. The material is knit on top of shoe and allows too much movement when walking. I am keeping them because these will be my more casual walking shoe vs my long daily walk shoes

Mesh in toe started to give out faster than previous shoes. Needs reinforced. Otherwise, great fit and comfortable to wear when walking 10 miles a day 5 days a week for at least 6-8 months.

Love the shoes except they have no traction on wet surfaces.

The shoes are comfortable, but I would have liked some more cushioning in the sole.

Overall these shoes fit my wider toe box. I noticed that they run more true to size than they used to. Based on other reviews, I ordered my true size 10 and they fit. It is a snug fit, but not uncomfortable. In the past, I always wore a 9.5 in Ghosts. However, I just couldn't get over the strange color combo and after wearing them in the house, I decided not to keep them. The shoe has army green accents around the base and the opening. The body of the shoe is a light greenish grey with bright yellow laces and pink Brooks logos. I tried to like them, but I just can't. lol Nothing wrong with the quality or fitting my wider toe box. I will buy these again in a different color combo.

I needed more support - going to try different shoe. Super cute though.

The Ghost 13 fits well. I had to have a wide in my 12 but the toe box is better in 13 B. Except the new shape of the tongue rubs against my ankle. Very irritating! I had to return. Tried the Ghost 14 and tongue is the new cut also. Brooks change this! Thank you Zappos for allowing us to try these!

I have been wearing Brooks athletic running shoes for about 4-5 years now. First, be aware that for some unknown reason, Brooks shoes are now about 1/2 size shorter than they used to be. I am normally an 8.5 but I must get a 9 in Brooks now. It's not just me, my husband and a couple of friends have noticed that several manufactures have shortened their shoe length. It's really weird. Having said that, I do appreciate the quality of Brooks. Since I have bunions I have to be careful with an athletic shoe. I also have Plantar fasciitis. I am familiar with foot pain. Since Brooks shoes are now shorter, and the 9 did not give me enough width room in the toe box this time I ordered them in a 9 wide. I took out a tape measure and discovered the WIDE is not WIDER than their regular shoe. I compared with my old Brooks Ghosts (9 Medium/Regular) and the toe box, is the same. The insert, exactly the same. That is unfortunate and a little deceptive, but I am still plotting ahead to find some shoes so I can actually get out and walk/jog again. My solution I am going to try: I just ordered the Brooks 14 in MEN'S 7.5 EE Width. Brooks does not make women's shoes any wider than a D. Since their D is not really a D, I'm giving this another go and I may have to order athletic shoes in Men's sizes. Not sure what else to do. So...these are being returned. It has become a full-time job to buy shoes these days even with Zappos convenience.

The shoe has a little annoying piece of plastic at the foot of the shoe that gets your toes stuck on it when you point your foot/upside down/in back of you/in the wrong direction. Also, the thin material gets dirty really fast but should wipe right off when a damp rag is passed on it. The colors are OK but could be different.

I'm a bit spoiled by the Adrenaline line of Brooks shoes so the Ghost pair didn't feel as comfortable. Its not enough cushion for my daily 3 mile walks with an 88 pound Labrador Retriever. I use them for average daily activities, wearing around house, working from home, and shopping. I can't wear them all day like the Adrenaline pair. No matter how much I loosen the strings and tongue I have to adjust it throughout the day for comfort.

fit was good, however, after I walked in them awhile, it seemed my heels sunk too far down in the back, and it was hard walking. needs more support

Great shoe! Comfortable with no breaking in period at all right out of the box! Excellent support and amazing style. Buy these!

I do not run but do a lot of walking up and down hills. I was looking for a very solid neutral shoe with very good cushioning in the forefoot and collar. I have a narrow foot and the narrow fit very well but toe box still a bit bigger than desired. In the past I was wearing Nike, then NB for last 3 years and now have changed to Brooks since NB modified the fit of the shoe I was wearing (NB 880 v10). (The 880 NB v11 has a larger toe box). I have also found this Brooks shoe to run almost a whole size smaller than my previous shoes. The Ghost 13 has a larger toe box than I wanted but it is acceptable. The shoe feels very structured, firm but comfortable cushioning in the forefoot, good cushioning around the collar and is lightweight. I had hoped to find a bit less of a shoe, not so much of a bulk and not so wide of a sole but when I tried a less advanced/aggressive model such as the Brooks Revel the structure of the material/shoe allowed the material along the forefoot to expand and buckle when walking. For my taste the Revel was a nicer looking, less bulky shoe but did not offer the structural support which I desired.

Tried Brooks Ghost 13 in size 7.5 M, found width too narrow for my foot. Unable to order is a wider width. The cushioning of the shoe felt great but just not wide enough. Sadly had to return them.

I have wide feet and am pretty picky about running shoes. These Brooks are very comfortable, but feel a bit on the clunky side. They’re not made to be sleek/zippy, but compared with other shoes in my rotation that offer similar cushion, I can’t say these are anything exceptional. However, I would consider buying these again. They seem like an “old faithful” pair of shoes- comfortable, but no frills and a bit old fashioned and clunky.

I was a long time user of the Brooks Pureflow 7. When it was discontinued I was forced to find another shoe. The Ghost 13 is a nice looking shoe and feels comfortable. My first run in them left me with a meh feeling. It is heavier than the Pureflow 7 and I felt like I was plodding rather than running smoothly. My second use of them felt better but I would prefer a lighter shoe. I am hoping that I will get used to them.

I read the reviews and ordered a size larger than my normal size. I have narrow feet and with all the cushioning, I wasn’t sure if I should order a medium or a narrow. I chose medium. They ended up too big. They were very comfortable, so I reordered a half size smaller in narrow and they fit perfect!

Since my last Brooks purchase I’ve had a hard time finding my preferred style - Addiction. I tried Ghost13 out of desperation. Compared to Addiction, Ghost13 is like walking barefoot - at least a 90% reduction in support and I could feel every bit of gravel or sticks that I walked on. I found Addiction on The Brooks’ Amazon store and delivery will allegedly be by early October. Worth the wait now that I know the alternative. I hope they actually exist :-/

My walking shoes before this were Hoka Bondi 7's so these felt a bit like walking on bricks when I first put them on. The Hoka's look like your great grandmothers orthopedic shoes and make your feet look five times larger than they really are but they are like walking on air. The Brooks are much more attractive but you lose the cushy feeling of the Hoka's. I will wear the Hoka's at home and the Brook's when I leave the house. :-)

I have another Brooks shoe int he same style, same size - but this one seemed tighter and shorter. Had to send back.
