The heel of the Ghost 13 feels lower than the Ghost 12's that I had been using prior to the purchase of the Ghost 13. Note that I replace the Brook insert with a prescription orthopedic unit--in both the 12 and 13's. I am getting used to the feeling, but initially it felt like my foot would slip out of the back of the shoe!

This is the 3rd pair of Brooks Ghost series shoes I have purchased. The first, Ghost 9, about 6 years ago, 2014-15, were 11.5 D. they fit perfectly. Second were Ghost 11. Again, I bought 11.5 D. They were significantly too narrow. This time, 2021, Ghost 13, purchased in March 2021 were 11.5 EE. They fit the same as the 11.5 D fit. I'm sure about that as I'm still wearing the 11.5 D shoes. I might note that I have Superfeet Arch supports in both pairs of shoes.

If the true shoe color was able to be capture in picture I would have gone with a different color. But I love brooks because of my back so I will take function over looks. Other than that I must say keep producing top quality shoes that stay together with good material and top grade glue. Love Me;)

The were comfortable. But sole was ver flimsy in nature. I could feel rocks or rises in the concrete as though they were inside my shoes.

They feel OK, but seem a little smaller than my Ghost 12s. They even look a little smaller, side-by-side with the 12s. Both pairs are the exact same size and width. The toe box feels tighter and the shoelaces are shorter.

Very disappointed when these arrived. They look very white in the photo! Very white, when they arrived they were grey. Nothing like the picture. Zappos was great on the exchange, as expected. But the picture was very misleading.

The Ghost 13 is not as cushioned as the Ghost 12. Was a little disappointed with this purchase.

Laces are way too short; I just do a quick knot instead of actually tying them. Better suited for inside training & treadmill running. Prefer Glycerine or Adrenaline more.

I got these to replace another pair of Brooks that were not available. They are ok. They are very solid--almost like walking on bricks. I'm experiencing some ankle soreness and knee soreness that is new to me. Hopefully, as I get some more miles on the shoes, they will form to my feet like all of my previous Brooks. In a nutshell. . . meh. Oh, the all black version--which I had to get for the width I needed--are quite possibly the ugliest shoes I've worn since I was in second grade in the early 70's.

Not as good a Ghost 12! It fits tighter, doesn't have the cushion/responsiveness most of us who purchase Ghost consistently (I do). In general, I'm just not as happy.

I?ve been a Brooks Ghost wearer for a decade, love the line. This model has tons of cushion throughout and is comfortable. However, this model does not seem to breathe anywhere near as well as its predecessors. With the Ghosts, I have always been able to throw them on right out of the box and go, and the breathe. This model caused some serious hot spots to develop, my feet were soaking wet. Maybe best for cooler climates, but in FL, in the heat, not so much.

Love the shoes except I feel like the previous model was made better. The glue seems to be coming off quicker than my last pair

The heel pressure was too tight. The Ghost 12 still fits the best.

Shoes look great, but if the shoe doesn't fit, you can't wear it. I ordered at 2E width shoe. For being listed as a 2E shoe, these are very narrow. The size of the shoe was spot on, but the width is no where near being a "wide" shoe. In addition, I didn't feel the sole of the shoe had adequate support across the entire bottom of the shoe. There were instability points in both the heel and toe of the shoe, where my feet would roll when applying slightly uneven pressure. If looking for "wide" running shoes I have found the Saucony brand to provide a proper fitting "wide" shoe with better stability. I had to return these and ended up with the Saucony Omni 19 shoes.

I liked these sneakers, but the soles have started to break down after 3 months of use. I'm a RN, so i walk a lot on shift, but i could get at least 6 months out of my Newbalance. For an expensive sneaker, I expected more durability.

The shoe is great if you don't put in a custom orthotic, sad...more importantly the shoe, which I ordered in 114E is way narrow and short. I had to send them back, back to searching. sigh. But, I love Zappos!

I removed the inserts to wash these shoes after getting them muddy. There were 3 layers: (1) white disposable thin cushion, (2) "bare science" inserts, (3) another white, disposable thin cushion. This is unacceptable from Brooks. This is nothing short of a "bait and switch" scam. UNACCEPTABLE.

Very stiff sole, heel cushion is good, but doesn't roll easily.

I purchased the 13 based upon my experience with the Ghost 11, which is one of the best running shoes I've ever owned. The 13 is OK but does not compare to the quality of the 11. 1. Shoe laces on the 13 are very good. The shoes laces up nicely and the laces hold. The 11 laces are terrible, too long and you have to double knot them. 2. Shoe flexibility on the 13 is good and compares well to the 11. 3. The 13 seems a little lighter than the 11. 4. The major flaw with the 13 is it's shock absorption. It lacks the cushioning of the 11 both in the heel and the ball of the foot. I know I'll be replacing these shoes sooner than later. 5. The fit is perfect. I take a 4E and 13's fit just like the 11's.
