I hate that the shoe tongue is sewn down. I struggled to get my foot in there. I'm not impressed.

The tongue is too thin and slides around, just like on the Levitate 3. The shoe is also not as cushioned as the 2. I have not liked a Levitate model since the 2.

Completely different shoe than the Levitate 2 and 3. I owned both and loved them. This one I had to return. The back goes up way too high and rubbed blisters. The non-adjustable top was too tight. Not a fan. If you are going to change the design that much, then change the name. The Levitate 4 is not a Levitate. It is something else. After many pair of Brooks, I had to switch to New Balance.

Liked the look of these, but unlike all my other Brooks, these are extremely uncomfortable. I have a very minimal arch, normal instep and narrower foot, and I had to work to get my foot in the shoe. The tongue is attached to the shoe, and there is zero give when you try to put them on. Once on, they are very tight around the mid foot. Do not recommend.

Too tight! I felt like my foot was going numb. Definitely very narrow. I sadly had to return.

Awful fit. I absolutely love Brooks shoes and this is the first time I've been disappointed. I have worn the previous versions of the Levitate without any issues however this version is terrible. Made my toes hurt and burn even after loosening the laces. Needless to say, they were sent back.

So sadly, I had to return these. I was desperately looking for a pair of walking/running shoes and have purchased Brooks in the past and have loved them. But, this Levitate 4 was like a torture vice on my foot. You can't open the tongue enough to get your foot in. I felt like Cinderella's step sister, trying to cram my foot into the glass slipper. I'm so baffled as to what the design thought was here...I've never seen an athletic shoe like this before. Once i finally got it on, the size was fine and I liked the design, however, it was very tight across the top, because it doesn't open up enough, even with loosening the laces. I just couldn't imagine going through that process of stuffing my foot into that shoe everyday. Note to Brooks - bring back the Levitate 2, which is what everyone seems to want. It's in all the reviews on all the websites.

Brooks has messed with a good thing. I bought these to replace my heavenly, dreamy Levitate 2s which were by far THE BEST and MOST comfortable shoes I ever owned. The design changes may make sense but it has changed the way the shoe fits and feels. The toe box isnt as generous and the integrated tongue makes these so extremely difficult to get on. I am so disappointed to have invested so much money in these shoes.

The only positive that I could say about these shoes is that they are lightweight. I have owned and LOVED the Levitate 2 and 3 and have multiple pairs of both. The size of these shoes is made smaller than the previous shoes, I wore a size 7 in the previous editions and these are too small. The insole is not the same and has little to no arch support. Overall, I would recommend that Brooks return to the design of the the Levitate 3. These are in no way superior to the previous models. I am extremely disappointed and will have to find a new "go to" model of shoes or brand for my running needs.

When I first got the shoe I was so excited! I had worn the previous model of the Levitate and LOVED them. My first problem with the new model was that I could not get the shoe on. The tighter sock like fit was too snug for my foot. After loosening the laces and putting the shoe on I felt that my arches were not supported and there was too much stiffness by the heel. I was so shocked that I could feel this negatively towards a shoe that I had previously loved. I even tried to wear it a few days (2) to really get a feel for it. I just did not care for it at all.
