I have been wearing a Ghost 12 for the past year and loved it. I wanted a speed shoe so I tried this one out. It was so tight and not comfortable. The look of the shoe is great but I could not run in it. My feet actually hurt for the next 3 days after I run in it.

Who ever picked these colors did a awesome job. I love the beautiful colors and the fabric looks really nice. This is something I could wear to my work. But.... why are all the pretty ones not wide width. Wide foot people like the pretty golds and silvers. Just saying. I cant order any... sad sad.

Was so excited to receive these, but was instantly disappointed when I put them on. The area over the mid-section of your foot cannot be modified to be wider and boy was it tight! I have pretty narrow feet and the shoe was squeezing my foot like crazy. This was my first pair of Levitate sneakers and not what I was looking for. The length of the shoe fit normally, just extremely narrow. Maybe sizing up would help with this problem I had. The pros were that the shoe was very attractive looking and lightweight

The look of these shoes is great, but I still wish the style were more like my Levitate 1s. The fit is VERY tight across the midfoot and the tongue part is sewn together partway fairly hight up so it has no give. This shoe seems to get narrower with every iteration to me. Although I like the cushioning and feel of the Levitate, this one is uncomfortable and going back.

These are very cute, but not comfortable. I have had several Brooks in the past and they are typically my favorite brand for running shoes, but I am not a fan of these. I kept thinking they needed more time to “break in” but after many-many wears, they are still really uncomfortable. Specifically, the heels are really stiff and they rub and give me blisters. I think it has to do with the top and how they look sock-ish instead of a normal cushy top around the back of the heel. Sadly, I do not recommend them. It’s a shame because they are pink and sparkly and oh so cute.

I was so disappointed in these, they were much less comfortable than the previous Levitate that I loved and wore out. I am still bummed I never returned these, every time I wear them they are uncomfy and bother my feet. They are so tight even though I always wear 8.5 I thought with time they would improve but I am realizing I have to buy a new pair just six months later since these are so bad!

I used to own the Bedlam 2's before needing to purchase another pair, so I bought these Levitate 4's. I found my runs to be very difficult. These shoes are not very supportive or cushiony as I expected. I have been running on a treadmill since buying these and now my toes are bruising and hurting very bad. I will be switching back to Bedlams or trying out Ghosts.

I felt it ran too large, I did not like this gold thread running through it, the tongue was an awkward fit, and the innersole didn't seem to have the same amount of padding or cushioning as my current Brooks running shoe.

I was extremely disappointed in these shoes. I have had Brooks Levitates before but the redesign of this shoe is extremely disappointing. The sole of this shoe USED to be springy and soft and these shoes felt like walking on cardboard. My cousin also go these shoes and felt the same way. We both ended up returning them.

The two stars are for the clear quality of the shoe, but the changes made to this version took some of my favorite shoes and made them painful to wear. I wish I would have sized up a half or whole size from what I normally wear. The plastic on the heel makes the shoe inflexible and points the back of the shoe forward more, which led to it digging into my Achilles tendon. Additionally, the toe box feels much more narrow and constricting as the tongue/laces are only really adjustable to halfway down the foot. Also, the shoe seems to be shallower than it previously was, if that makes sense, as it felt smaller across my whole foot. The sole of the shoe does feel springy! Wore these for a 3-4 mile easy run and they cut off circulation in my foot.

These shoes run small and are not true to size. Size up if going to buy. I am a size 6 and I am going to reorder for a size 6.5.

This shoe has been remodeled from previous versions. The tongue no longer extends all the way. the center portion of the foot is elasticized. It is incredibly tight across my instep. The fabric is much thinner as well. The back elastic is much higher. Each of these makes the shoe very difficult to even get on. I will be gifting these to my daughter as I cannot wear them.

These run tighter than previous models. I have a high arch and that can result in calf knots and achilles pain for me. On the advice use the Dr. Scholls women's running inserts. The first time I put them in the shoes, I couldn't get my feet in the shoe. I ran without the inserts, and my achilles pain came roaring back. I put them back in, loosened the laces to the point they are barely holding anything in. My calves are getting less tight, but I lost a toenail for the first time since my first half marathon about 8 years ago. It's a bummer. I love Brooks, but this shoe is a disappointment. :(

Very disappointed in this shoe. It did not mention that the in step is fixed. I could not get my foot in the shoe. I could not adjust the shoe strings.

Loved the look, but I got blisters after the first time I ran in them. I had to stop running after 5 minutes.

FIt and size - I have worn Brooks for a while, the sizing is typically more uniform. I ordered an 8.5, my usual Brooks size, it was HUGE! I returned and ordered an 8, waaaayyyy too small, my toes was hitting hard on the tip! I loved the look and the feel of the "sock like" fabric around the ankle, unfortunately I had to return and will try another style.

I have owned three pairs of Levitates - two 2s and one 3. The 4s are not like the previous models. They run narrow in the mid foot and do not fit the same in the arch. A lot of room in the toe box but it is the mid foot room that will lead me to switch to a different style of Brooks. If you have wide/fat feet like me then these are not the shoes for you.

Overall fit was good but the backs dug into my heels so badly just wearing them inside the house that I was afraid to try them on a run, expecting massive blisters. Loved the color and look of the shoe but had to send them back.

Unfortunately these did not work for me, no matter how much I wanted them to. Something about the fit over my arch that I could not get resolved. I could not wear them for more than hour without needing to take them off. Super lightweight and attractive. Sad they did not work out. But Brooks is awesome with returns.

I had been running in the Levitate 2 for the past several years and owned multiple pairs, but was down to my last pair, so I tried the Levitate 4 and they were tight all over! My feet have a medium forefoot and narrow heel, so I found this inexplicable. The Levitate 2 were wonderful. I don't know why they changed the Levitate so drastically for the Levitate 4. I switched to the Glycerin 19, but they run short and I had to go up 1/2 size and I am very happy with these.

In my search for a PureFlow replacement (I loved those shoes), I came across the Levitate when it was suggested on a message board that they have a similar feel. When the shoes arrived, the first thing I noticed is that I could hardly get my foot into the shoe. I have high arches and a high in-step so getting my foot in the shoe was a challenge. Once in the shoe, I almost immediately felt like I was getting hotspots on both heels, just from walking around. I wore the shoes for a good part of a day hoping they just needed some break-in time but that didn't help. I sized up half a size from my normal shoe size and don't think going up an additional half size would help. These are being returned this week.

Unfortunately the tongue is attached to the shoe half way up making there no way to loosen the laces. I've had foot surgery recently and my foot swells so I will have to return these. Such a shame because the pink is so pretty!

Nice shoe but tends to NOT allow one to run on their toes comfortably. We returned these shoes and went back to the Glycerin.
