Prior Brooks have more room in the toes. For me to love, wish it had sider toe box.

I have own multiple pairs of levitates. I really hate they changed the fit on the 4's. They are not as comfortable as the previous versions.

The shoe is beautiful, but not as comfortable as I had hope. I work 13 hour shifts as a nurse practitioner and my feet were definitely in pain at the end of the shift.

I really like all the Levitates but am having trouble with recent iterations that do not have a fully flexible tongue. The Levitate 4 is especially uncomfortable -- just too stiff and inflexiby snug over the top of my foot because the tongue doesn't have any give/adaptibility. Also because of that it is much harder to get the shoe on and off. Please go back to the fit of the Levitate 2, it was the best!

Good toe box space, form fitting and comfortable once you get them on! Having part of the tongue area stitched down is a definite problem. Hard to get them on because of that. Loved the look of the shoe...gold and white.

I had the levitate 2 for work for about a year and I loved them! I have a lot of foot pain and felt like this shoe was the answer to all my problems. I wanted to get a new style so went with the new levitate 4. I read the reviews about the shoe being so tight but thought I would be fine since I have a narrow foot. I was very wrong - the shoe was sooo tight and painful to wear for weeks. I was so miserable and felt like I wasted my money. After several weeks they finally loosened and are comfortable now which is why I?m giving three stars still. I just wish this shoe didn?t have the mid section sewn together or give us more room for movement please!!

I have had these barely 6 months. I don't run in them- just walking & wearing them a few times a week. I've never had a pair of shoes split like this. I have had my previous levitates for 1.5 years now and they have never split. Disappointing.

Normally I LOVE brooks, but I was disappointed with this fit. Too tight on the top of my foot, causing pain when wearing. I've owned at least 10 other pairs and have never had issues. Disappointed.

I really loved the levitate 3 and was hoping the 4 would be the same. It's a totally different shoe, unfortunately. I have narrow feet and the levitate 3 shoe fits better around my heels with it's snug design. The 4 is like a regular sneaker in the back. The shoe is true to size, and fairly comfortable but it's not as bouncy and stiff as I prefer and I found the Levitate 3s to be. For the price point, I decided to return them because I can spend less money on average running shoes. If they were as good as the 3s I would find their higher price point worth it.

Extremely uncomfortable around the top of the mid foot. I have rather narrow feet and I still have trouble even getting the shoes on. Please go back to the Levitate 2 fit. Release the tongue so there is a more flexible fit across the top. I have always loved Levitates but the fit is no longer very comfortable.

It was so tight around mid foot, my foot would go numb mid run. I went up a size, but still tight. Didn't have that experience in other versions.

Great shoes, very light, they do cause a hot spot on the bottom of my feet, not great for long-distance, will use for speed training. short races.

I have now a total of 5 pairs of Brooks Running. I was going to return the levitate 4. The partial tongue makes it difficult to put the shoe on. I have to squeeze my foot into the shoe due the rest of tong is built into the shoe. The comfort is fine once you get your foot in; just that one issue. Please don't make anymore with a partial tongue.

I am disappointed with these. They do not fit like my previous pairs of Levitate. They are much tighter in every direction. I am going to give them a try and see if they loosen up after wear. Also the look is not as great as the photos. The Brooks logo on the side is a flat grey. I was expecting it to be metallic based on the photo.

They were a little snug, so I returned them. I really like the levitate 2 shoe.

I've been running in the Levitate for a while now and the Levitate 4 fits much snugger/tight in the mid section of the foot than previous models. Had a difficult time getting my foot in with sock to feel comfortable but after some effort did get it all laced up and had a good and comfortable run. Hoping it will loosen a bit just to make putting on not such a hassle.

They're comfortable enough, but I'm super disappointed in how slippery they are.

I loved the Levitate 2s... best 3 or 4 pairs of shoes I've ever owned. I skipped the 3s after hearing about the running issue on the back of the feet. As for the 4s, I will say that I love the lightness of the shoes - much less clunky than the 2s. They are also a bit cooler - the 2s were great in the winter, but resulted in sweaty feet during the summer. Also love the colors of the 4s! However... the arches. I have medium to high arches, and these shoes just don't provide enough support. Any run over 3 miles in these shoes left me with sore arches, and I feel a gap between my arch and the shoes. I talked to a Brooks service rep, and apparently, this has been a common complaint with the 4s. If you have neutral arches, these should be fine! Hoping this is fixed with the he Levitate 5!

I bought these because I loved the Levitate 2 and 3, with the exception of the sole cracking through the midsole in the 4 pairs I had. Shame. These definitely feel sturdier than the previous models, but they run tight. I'm disappointed that they have lost the feel they had in the previous models, but and hoping that after I wear them a bit they aren't so pinchy.

Love the ride and feel in the shoe during my run. On par for Brooks, I could go out and do some decent mileage and felt great. My biggest complaint is the integrated tongue. I have high arches which makes it difficult to get comfortable lacing. I actually had to pop a couple of the stitches to feel a little better. I completely replaced the insoles with those for high arches so those were not the issue.

I don't love these. They run big. I usually wear a Women's 9.5 M in Brooks and my feet were swimming in the 9.5. I ended up keeping the 9.0 M but my toes are a tiny bit scrunched--if they were just a tiny bit wider they would probably be great. The fit of the shoe and materials are significantly better and softer than the Levitate 3's, but I don't like the sole of these as much as the 3's. They're not as soft and cushy as the 3's. I keep hoping the soles will get softer with use, but it hasn't gotten too much softer yet. Also, the colors are so much better this time. The green ones are so pretty as compared to the color options with the previous version.

These run big. I usually wear a Women's 9.5 M in Brooks and my feet were swimming in the 9.5 M. I ended up keep the 9.0 M. My toes are a little squished in the 9.0 M; I think if they were a tiny bit wider, they would be great. Pros: The upper part of the shoe is great--it's significantly softer material that doesn't cut into my heel like the 3's did. Also, the green pair is really pretty--I like the color combination and styling of the shoe. Cons: They're just a tiny bit narrow in my opinion but that may be related to the sizing of the shoe for me. Also, the soles are not as cushy as the 3's.
