I purchased these shoes because they were recommended on a website (I forget which one) as being among the best for controlling supination. I found that to be wildly untrue. Within 3 days I was once again walking (I'm 77 and not a runner) on the sides of my feet, and the meshy material did nothing to prevent that. For a normal foot these shoes might be perfectly fine, but do not purchase them if you need support for the outsides of your feet.

I like that these shoes are lightweight. I don't like the lack of cushioning under my toes. After walking for about an hour my toes are really feeling abused. I would like my feet to feel comfortable so that I can keep on going. As it is, I find myself stopping my workouts way too soon.
Another issue I had with these shoes was that the top of the lacing was so tight I couldn't insert my foot without the laces coming out of their holes. In the end, I resorted to permanently removing the laces from the top 3 holes on each side so I can comfortably use the shoes. Who knew my size 8 feet were so big!

I am a little disappointed at the size that I purchased. So I'm not able to enjoy the effects of my shoes.

The size and width were fine. I have worn ASICs for years and always been pleased. This new version of the Gel Cumulus replaced my older version. The shoelaces are entirely too short!!!! And I am very unhappy with the new version. I have tried and tried to adjust the shoelaces; but to get them tied, the shoe is too tight and hurts and makes marks on top of my feet. There is also a problem with the tongue which does not fit properly. I have given up and ordered longer laces, costing me an additional $9 on top of the price of the shoes. My question is "WHAT WERE YOU THINKING WHEN YOU SHORTENED THE LACES?"

I loved the 20s and had three pairs of them, ran half marathons in them, hiked in them, etc.
I disliked the 21s because they felt stiff. These were so comfortable and actually wide, but the sole tapers in thickness at the front of the shoe, probably to encourage heel strikers to transition to their forefoot in the "rocker" style that's become so popular, but I am a forefoot striker and it feels extremely awkward. I didn't even go for a run because walking was so strange. Why not have the same sole thickness all the way through? I feel like over-engineering has kind of killed this shoe. (Love the knit upper though)

Tried this shoe in medium width and found it to be very tight. Ordered it in a wide width and still found it to be tight. Both pairs are being returned.

The shoe wore down pretty quickly and within a week there was a hole in the upper mesh.
I usually love this shoe, so I am dissappointed.

Terrible support, even with my orthodics. No cushioning, Asics dropped the ball on this one, not worth the price.

The Cumulus 22 felt more narrow on my feet. I will have to return these as I will not be able to wear them for an entire shift with comfort.

Sneaker did not feel true to size and if I went up another half size the heel would be even wider. Distance between top of front of sneaker and the bottom seemed tight and hit the all of my foot wrong. Since it didn’t fit just trying it on ...can’t evaluate comfort for walking, etc.

Runs very small, I ordered half a size bigger than usual and they are still too small. When I initially put them on I thought they were only slightly snug but after walking in them for a while the shape of the shoe seems to push the foot downward toward the toe causing a 'squished toes' feeling.

I bought these about a month ago and I was very disappointed in them. I had previously purchased the Gel Kayano and I loved how much cushion they had, they were very comfortable. The Gel Cumulus run small (order a size up) and are not comfortable at all.

I recently bought both the Gel Nimbus 22 and the Gel Cumulus 22 from Asics. I am new to running and suffer from Underpronation. My local store did not have my size available to try on in either pair so I tried on the size smaller and decided a women's 11 was the right fit. I had initially thought I liked the Cumulus better however when I got them I quickly learned I should have bought 2 pairs of the Nimbus. I find the Cumulus to be more narrow and painful for my arch. I have worn them 3 times on moderate intensity walks and could not wait to take them off versus the Nimbus which I use daily & love. Wish my local store had the right size so I could have made a more educated assessment on the comfort level during a prolonged period!

Not like my other cumulus and the depth of the shoe does not even accomodate an orthotic unfortunately. I will not buy these again.

I've been wearing these shoes for over a decade. This specific pair are smaller. They don't fit well. And, the shoe strings were super short as well.

I love Asics and it's all I buy. This show has something pushing up right at the ball where your big toe rounds into your foot. So uncomfortable. I never had this problem with the other cumulus. Hopefully just the cumulus 22.

Have always bought this brand, but last pair mesh pulled away from the leather portion. It left a hole, in the front of the sneaker.
Wearing duration approximaetly 18 months. I only wear for daily walks, not everyday wear.
Contacted company and was informed sneakers are only guaranteed for one year.

I've been wearing the gel cumulus for at least 8 years. The last pair I bought were 20s so was excited to get the new 22s. I had to check the size twice to make sure I had ordered correctly. They were so tight! I have a pretty narrow foot so I was surprised how tight they were across the width of my foot. I wear a size 7 shoe but ordered the 8.5 sneaker as I normally do. Just awful. I sent them back and was able to find an 8.5 in the 20s online and they are perfect!
