Don't be fooled you see a lot of hipsters sporting this wear but my first experience was less than except able. Product is faulty right out of the box.

I wear a 10.5 US size shoe. My boots' tag display they are 10.5 US size. They are not 10.5 US size, they are at least one size maybe 1.5 sizes too small. Extremely disappointed North Face.

Second pair, not even 13 months old, cracked so bad in so many places they're worthless. I have the other unlaced version for longer, and never a problem. but these are junk.

I absolutely LOVED these boots. Warm, super comfortable, waterproof! UNTIL they rubber upper completely separated from the leather and rendered them useless. I've seen many many other reviews complaining about the same thing. I've only warn them maybe 60 times ... I wear them when I go skiing, and when I'm up in Canada during the holidays so I'm not wearing them constantly (I live in California where you don't need winter boots in the winter). One day when it's -20 outside and 2 feet of snow (In Canada/winter) I went to pull them on and the rubber has a crack in it and the rubber upper has separated from the leather, leaving a huge gap for water and snow. Very disappointed.

The first sign to give this boot the boot is size. most reviews say they are 1 to 2 sizes too small. I wear a 9 and had to get an 11. Good thing I was in store customer. I live in Arkansas, we don't get much snow or cold weather so I just wore these boots 6 time in 2 years. This week when I got them out and wore them the rubber busted (or shattered) on one boot. Now they are in the garbage. I kept them in closet. This was a comfortable boot too! Very disappointed in North Face with this boot.

Had original Chilkats and also Chilkat ii. Both pairs broke apart and cracked on the lower "rubber" part of boot.Only used them a hand full of times but they only lasted less then two years! To bad because I obviously liked the boot.

I purchased these boots last year & wore them a handful of times. I went to put on today & rubber was cracked & split, unwearable. VERY disappointed. I do NOT recommend this boot - unacceptable quality ...

Unfortunately I had to return the boots because the shoelace eye pulled out the first time I tried them on. I have had similar boots from North Face and enjoyed using them for many years before they fell apart. I was quite disappointed, they were my favorite winter boots.

Very warm but bulky & heavy. I have no complain with being bulky or heavy because winter boots are built like that. The main complain I have is the poor quality, bought my boots probably less than 5 years ago & only used few times every winter since I bought it BUT this winter season when I first use it the rubber above the sole broke in one of the boots (see attached pix). VERY DISAPPOINTED!!

I've worn these boots maybe 10 times, the rubber cracks and renders the boot useless. Go with something different unless you like wasting money. If your boot does crack don't waste time trying to get a warranty replacement. You will be told it's not a defect and is probably because of how you stored them.

These boots are definitely not waterproof. I am a letter carrier that is in every weather imaginable. And these boots don't hold up. Once water gets over the top of the boot then the inside is completely wet. I will never buy these again. Nor recommend them.

I have a pair of my own only wear them when it snows. I've as a gift have own a pair for at least 10 years. Not a problem as for my son as a gift from his mom (me) Probably he has used them for two winters. Only for snow so he would be insulated while he had to make it safe for the tenants parking lots and sidewalks. He's only wear them probably 10 to MAYBE 15 times and they fell apart right where top part of the boot thats attached right below the bottom right at the bottom of the laces.

wore them for about the fifth time during hike in snow and they fell apart. My friend's did the same thing two years ago but EMS honored their warranty. So, do not buy them if you plan on keeping them for more than a year or two because the waterproof material on the outside crumbles.

I bought this pair of shoe just before my trip to Fairbanks, Alaska. Very first night I was out, I found my toe frozen with two woolen socks, and at temperature 10 F. I was confident on shoe and didn't purchase toe warmer or rent additional boot. Apart from that wearing and removing the shoe is not an easy task. It could have been better.

I bought these for hunting with a promise from the salesman they would actually be waterproof and good to -25. They were great as far as comfort in fair weather, then it snowed. Once the toe area of the boots got wet my feet slowly got soaked through and my feet got so cold I ended my hunt early. What a bitter disappointment after the guy behind the counter assured me repeatedly they would be exceptional. I guess The North Face doesn't actually test their boots before making claims. I better get a full refund today.

I plan to use them for hiking but I will need to send them back and get a larger size. I've never had to wear a shoe larger than an 8 ever. :(

Just received these boots as a gift for x-mas and tried them on for a trek up the mountain snowshoeing. You have to love it when the first time you go to tighten the laces that a rivet pulls out and breaks from the side of the boot. Looks like it's just a plastic garbage rivet that couldn't hold up on a single lace up... Cant wait to take these back anyway as I have worn a 13 since high school but apparently my foot grew 2 inches when I tried these on. Never had an issue like this before... Crazy how off they were made... Worth the price if you pay less than 20 bucks though.. My wife paid 100 so I hope you can see where I'm going here..

I bought a pair of these boots from the northface store on amazon, i work outside during the very harsh months of winter in all kinds of weather, when the time came i wore the boots thinking that my feet would be safe from the cold. THEY AREN'T my feet were freezing and it wasnt even snowing or raining yet, i decided to get better socks to try the boots out in the snow thinking it might work out and instead the socks got wet which means they arent even waterproof, i spent 100 dollars for nothing i couldve just bought a cheaper pair, im so disappointed.
