Comfortable and very durable/well made. As a heavy person, shoes can sometimes wear quickly. These held up very well.

I liked the men's color, so I bought it 1.5 sizes smaller than my regular women's shoe size. Fit is great. I've had them over a year now, and wear them every day. My feet, knees and back no longer ache. Amazing! The only complaint I have is that while the tread had lasted excellently, the upper leaves something to be desired. First the heel area wore out with holes from what looks like rubbing from my heel, but there was never any rubbing feeling going on. Next, the stitches started breaking around the edges, and now the fabric upper is getting little holes by the outside of my foot. I'll wear them until they disintegrate, then hopefully buy another pair.

Good for flat feet. Not a ton of arch support, thank goodness.

Did not take long to "break" the new pair in. Accommodated orthotics well.

Tried what feels like a zillion different shoes and finally found a good running shoe for my flat feet with narrow heels and a slightly wider toe box.
Have discovered through research and personal experience that my flat feet do better distance running with heavy cushioning and less arch support. These shoes are good to go without needing 3rd party insoles.

I purchased these shoes over a month ago and now I can give my honest thoughts. I purchased these since the Women's Saucony Echelon 8 Wides were all sold out and I could not get them local or on Zappos. So I decided to get the guy's shoes. I had to size down but these are perfect. I wear them all the time and they just give me life. I am able to run, walk, and do daily life in them. Totally suggest them.

Grear runner; been using this model for 10 yrs now as best one for custom fit orthotics. No better neutral runner on market.

The shoes are comfortable for a couple of hours but after that they start feeling uncomfortable. I can't stand to wear them all day. I still like them for short runs.

I had them for a few weeks now, rotating with other sneakers, and found them very comfortable for both walking and running. You will get gain with no pain. For running, I use , though my old and tried runner's orthotics. They also have a distinct but discreet design, which enhances their appearance, without being too crass.

The Echelons are one of the few running sneakers that fit my wide foot. This is now my third pair - but the inside/back of the heel wears SO quickly. Unacceptably quickly. I've had the sneakers for weeks at this point and there's already a small hole in the fabric that will most likely open up in the next month or two.

I've just been through my second pair of Echelon 8s and really like the shoe. Unfortunately, when time came to replace these, Saucony's web site doesn't offer them any more so I'm trying the Guide 15s that were the default result when I searched for Echelons. We'll see, hopefully the resemblance will go beyond the picture into the performance. My feet have appreciated the comfort and support of the Echelons for over 1500 miles.

The upper is much improved over prior models. Fit is very good and they have a very nice understated look. Very accommodating for orthotics as advertised. Wish laces were improved because they eventually get all twisted.

Padding at top of heel needs to be more substantial & robust. I have experienced this with Echelon 5 & my existing Echelon 8. Nonetheless a good shoe!
