Sizing recommendation has changed in the month since I bought this jacket; if it had read "runs small; size up" when I purchased I would have done so. I'm 5'3" and 140 lbs and bought a medium. When wearing it OVER a fleece, it is far too tight. Since this is a jacket I intend to use when it's cold out, not being able to wear something under it doesn't work. I realize I am not a fan of "active" sizing and much prefer the men's fit for a jacket, but the men's colors are very unappealing to me. This will be returned - whether I try a different size, either in women's or in men's, remains to be seen. Would appreciate it if the size indications were consistent (show hip measurements on the men's sizing scale; show arm length on the women's sizing scale) as that would help figure out a better fit.

Very nice coat. Def not for use in the northeast in winter. More of fall jacket.

I really like everything about this coat, except the sizing. I always wear medium, but this was very small. There was no way to wear a sweater under it, so I'm returning it. Unfortunately, there's no "exchange" option on the return and the coat is no longer on sale, or else I would simply exchange for next size up.

Unfortunately i had to return the jacket. The size was way too big. I am a small size but it was very baggy. The color was not as bright as the picture.

disappointed. I love this color and I really wanted to love this jacket but it seems very thin and the inner lining is all plastic. I live at the coast and find plastic on the beach daily. I just have to cut back on consumption of plastic and this just feels like a step in the wrong direction.

Much smaller than other Columbia jackets and fleece I own. Not happy I have to pay to ship back.

I used my measurements to order and went up a size to be safe. Still too small in the chest and hips but huge in the shoulders. It's like they design more for men. This is my final try at Columbia jackets.

This jacket was a big disappointment. I needed several layers to stay warm in 35-40 degrees. But the biggest problem was the fact that this jacket is not water resistant at all. I got quickly soaked in light rain. Do not waste your money on this jacket!!!
