The color on the bottom half I didn't like, that's it.

Comfortable but too wide. When driving my shoe touches both my Excelerator and break pedal sometimes . Could be a safety issue for me.

I like Hokas and have worn them before. I try to stick with shoes rated for Trail running because the soles don't wear out as quickly. I ordered these in men's size hoping they would be wide enough to accommodate my arthritic feet - they were not, so I returned them
I'd also recommend:

This is my third pair of Hokas. I fell in love after my first pair of Bondi6's. I need the plush cushion as I am a heavy set runner with a left foot supination. Plus I'm getting old. I also have a pair of bondi7's. These standings are just not living up to the Bondi performance. After three runs I may have to stop wearing them already.

I ordered a men's shoe and it feels tight on my feet. So I have to send it back. Love the color, style, comfort of the shoes. This is the only show that I can wear on concrete. I stand on my feet 15 hrs a day.

Okay, I've been an Altra guy for years, I got Fred flintstone big toes. I wear a 15, and I am a bigger guy. I do about 15-20 miles a week, and have a goal to do a solo half every other month. My running form is best described as a lumber wagon. I am not made for speed. I do what I do and enjoy it. So these Stinsons are awesome in so many ways but one for me. The ride matches my lumber I all the right ways. There is enough rocker to allow me to keep rolling forward with very little effort. My issue I got is the toe box. I want my big toe to stay straight in a shoe, and not be pushed in towards my other piggies by the inside wall. I got to admit, I got arthritic big toes. It hurts to have the big toe pushed in just a little bit. I pulled the inserts out of the stinsons and altra, by comparing the inserts the stinsons are bigger in the toe box. The layout is just wrong. Most of the added room are for the little guys and the room for the big one slopes in. I am working on some lacing technics to help pull my mid foot towards the outside so my foot sits in the shoe with my big toe off that inside wall. I know, go back to altra if this is my problem, but I haven't found a Altra I can trust over 250 miles, they just break down to fast. I have a goal to do 1000 miles in 2021. I hope that these stinsons stay in the rotation and help me get there.

So first off, you have to think of running shoes as screw drivers in a tool box. You would not expect a Phillips head screw driver to be used all the time for every task. Neither should you expect a shoe to be used across every run, workout, terrain, or time. But that's not to overlook or overshadow the sweet satisfaction of reaching for the perfect tool for the job and flawlessly achieving the task at hand. Thus, we have the essential Hoka Stinson ATR 6. The ride truly rolls through your gate cycle and the cushion numbs any clang and bang you sore legs could experience. I find myself reaching for this shoe all the time. I especially grab this shoe when its the end of the week, i'm tired, prolonged downhill sections have wrecked my legs, and i just want comfort while i cap off the last day or two of training. Surprisingly, quite nimble for a HUGE stack height. BUT, if you bought this shoe you probably bought it FOR the stack height. I get quite upset with reviewers who ding this shoe for being too tall, for no ground feel, and for feeling unstable. AS IF ANYONE would buy this shoe for anything else than the stack height. We have crossed that bridge. We are not looking for ground feel with this behemoth. But for all of us who have crossed the bridge, we have discovered, the midsole is glorious, it is soft, and it is luxurious. The meta rocker puts you on your toes for a pleasant and effortless toe off. It never feels cumbersome, but i have never tried to turn up the pace in this shoe cause i would never grab this shoe for a tempo day, time trial, or race. And no one would purchase this shoe thinking "oh let's sprint". The collar is plush and comfy- like slipping into bed for mid morning nap. The grip has been awesome on gravel and moderately technical terrain. Again, i'm not grabbing this shoe for highly technical terrain or super rocky downhill fell running. I agree with a lot of reviewers that the surface area + the rubber outsole really works.

Disappointed in the latest Stinson ATR .I own many pairs of earlier version Stinson ATR's. Unfortunately the six has a cramped toebox, so there wasn't a total comfort that I found in earlier Stinson's.

This must be my fourth or fifth pair of the Stenson. My favorite shoe ever for comfort. Unfortunately they are not holding up. Within only 2 weeks of wearing them, about 4 miles each day, the soles are wearing on them. In fact enough to start putting shoe goo on them. I just wish they would hold up a little longer considering the amount of money they cost.

The heels feel different from one shoe to the other. The right shoe feels very supportive in the heel area, but the left shoe feels like its missing some cushioning, and when I step, it actually "flops" like a sandal. I tried them for two days and could not get used to it. I returned the Stinsons and bought Gaviota 4. The Gaviotas are much better for walking. However, the pull tab on the left shoe ripped off the first time I used it. My opinion is the quality is not as great as the hype.

I have been buying Hokas for years now and this is my 3rd pair of Stinsons. I have loved them all up to this point, and would rate everyone a 5. However, this pair has a quality issue. What should I do about it? The padding on the interior side of the heal broke free of the adhesive apparently intended to hold it in place and the shoes are basically dead because of it. It happened in the first week and I have been pressing it back into place again and again. I would welcome a replacement pair!...and you'd keep a loyal customer. What do you say?

I love the comfort, and fit, and the feel while walking/running in them. They are the first pair of super cushiony shoes I have bought and I absolutely love them. EXCEPT, they have basically no grip unless you are exclusively on dirt (not roots/rocks). Even walking on a mildly wet sidewalk in Seattle you can feel the shoes slipping while walking on a very low slope. I decided to return them just because of that. If Hoka made this exact shoe, but with a Vibram sole then I would buy multiple pairs of these.

Nothing is great about it. The low top Stinson replacement is a joke. The main problem is the foot bed. The original high top Stinson had a completely different foot be. When I bought my first pair some years ago I hike steep mountains and hills not what your city costumers call mountains. The sales person was very knowledgeable about your products not like you have now. He also understood that people That really do climb mountains have to come down the mountain by far the majority will tell all there injuries come from the pressures on your legs knees and especially FEET walking down hill!! Back to the salesman I talked to described a foot bed in the Stinson had a lower heal in the foot bed that really helped keep you foot from wanting to constantly slide you foot forward. When he told me this I was skeptical. I couldn't believe it. It worked my heal pain was gone my foot from toes to heal most of the pain was gone in right foot all of it gone in the left foot. Now with your new Stinson I may have to use the new Stinson for walking around the city on the side walk. Thanks for getting rid of a shoe made for people that really do hike in the mountains!

This was the same model I had purchased three years ago, maybe an upgraded Stinson, same size and width. It fits completely differently. My toes were squashed so much I had blisters on the tops of my Big toes. The shoe is not as wide in the toe box as the earlier model. Really cannot wear it. Would return it except I didn't keep the inserts that came with it.

They run small. I wear a normal width shoe but these are very tight mid foot. Will never buy another pair of Hokas!

There is a reinforcing rim of hard plastic or something about 1 inch below the back of the heel. This can be easily felt after only a few weeks of normal hikes and has begun to cause issues with my heels that seem like plantar fasciitis. It's odd because I had a different model pair last year and loved them. They were the most comfy shoes I've owned so I had very high hopes for these.

I do a lot of hiking on rough trail and cross country. I love my Speedgoats, which have a large percent of the sole covered with Vinbram. It is not as durable as a full Vibram sole but I can live with it. Thought I'd try a pair of Stinsons. I saw the photos but it wasn't too clear that only the lugs are Vibram. One hike on rough trail and the soles are in sorry shape. It appears that only the Speedgoats are suitable for this type of trail, and I'd like to see this feature stressed on the web site.

Bought these for my husband. First he really liked them - but then he started getting blisters along the inside of his footstep. The padding/arch design may have been too high for him. Great looking pair of shoes, good construction, the shape did not work for his feet long term.

I had a pair of Bondi 6s that I absolutely loved and thought I'd try a pair of trail shoes. These felt off from the moment I started wearing them. The right shoe on the sole at center heel wore completely off in just a few outings while the left stayed perfect. I never wear out my shoes early but this one was different.

Size was short and narrow. I've had 4-5 ATRs and this was at least a half size too small. I do like the new lacing system. Not a big fan of this year's colors.
