These or my first pair of Hokas, and I was really impressed after my first run. The fit was great, the comfort was evident, and these shoes felt as light as advertised! However, after my second run a large section of the bottom sole was torn - which was a big disappointment. And note, I only have 11 mi in these shoes. That said, I cannot confidently recommend these shoes to anyone who intends to use them for the intended purpose.

Wanted to rate as 5 stars after 1st run due to great comfort and traction over all types of terrain. Problem is that heel lugs on one shoe are torn and peeling off after only 5 miles!!! This is a Trail shoe, and shouldn't fall apart. The sole design to save weight makes durability a dubious prospect. It should be one piece. VERY DISAPPOINTED because I want to LOVE this shoe.

This shoe is similar to the original which is a VERY good thing IMHO. They improved several areas including build quality. I saw one other reviewer mentioned still no lock down. I have no clue what this means. I have an average foot, maybe more on the narrow side, and this shoe locks my heel down perfectly. My biggest test for a shoe is to take it down a very steep and technical trail. If I have no slippage and I feel secure then it's a winner. This shoe is a winner. Hoka is killing it in 2020. I would say if you need a solid trainer or racer for anything under 50k this is it. 50k to 100 or 200 miles get the EVO or Speedgoat 4 for the extra cushion. The torrent 2 is insanely light and even slightly lighter then my EVO which is mind blowing. If you have hobbit feet then you may want something else, maybe the SG4 in wide, if not get this shoe! It will be one of the best trail shoes this year. Mark my words.

Took these shoes to Acadia as hiking shoes and they held up incredibly well, even on wet and rocky terrain. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a lighter alternative to low hiking boots.

The Torrent has been my go-to trail shoe for the last two years. I have had 5 pairs of the previous version and I feel like the Torrent 2 has been just as good if not better. I work at a running shop and have the luxury of trying a lot of different shoes from different brands but this shoe is a true quiver killer. I have worn it from 10 mile trail races to 55k races and it has worked great! The lifespan on these are shorter than a lot of brands; usually 300-400 miles for me. But that's the price you pay for having a moderately cushioned shoe for how light and nimble it is. I am 12.5 in most brands but size down to 12 for most Hokas.

I have purchased other models from Hoka and they seem too narrow except Torrent 2

I absolutely loved my hoka torrent 2 sneakers so much that when they were discontinued, I found a pair for twice the price n brought them. I got my hubby a pair on sale n the souls have different color? Like abit mismatched bt , he doesn't care. He loves them as well. We just wish they had more subdued colors. Like blues ? And wish they kept same styles in stock abit longer. Bt we love the torrents.

I've been so happy with Hoka shoes and sandal. It has literally fixed my plantar fasciitis pain in my foot. I appreciate my shoes with every step I take. :-)

No regrets I wish I had bought more than one pair

This is my second pair of Hoka shoes. I am more pleased with thtis pair than I was with the 1st pair. That's saying a lot, cause I loved the 1st pair.

I am a junior high PE teacher who is on his feet all day and the Torrent 2s help take care of my feet and back allowing me to make it through a busy day.

Just purchased these shoes so haven't worn much but so far I really like the look and comfort. I actually plan to use them as golf shoes this summer as I always walk and they have plenty of traction as a trail running shoe.

This is my first pair of Hoka shoes. I bought them for traveling purposes. The shoes fit like a glove on my feet and can't wait to actually use them on one of my traveling adventures.

I referee high school and small college basketball, and at first I was a little hesitant of the shoe because of the low top cut. We do a lot of running and turning and cutting in basketball officiating, but I gave it a chance, and it has been a total game changer for me. Since then I have bought five different pairs of the shoe, and it has helped my feet tremendously. I am considering writing the Hoka corporation to see if they will consider developing a basketball officials running shoe with 3/4 top to protect our ankles, so I hope this message will reach who it needs to for consideration of this thought. As officials, we are always looking a shoe that can protect our feet, our lower back, and our knees for the season. The soles of the shoe is the best I've ever experienced in a running shoe. I do a lot of running when I work out, and on the basketball court, and I have seen nothing like this one before. Thanks Hoka corporation.

I work at DMV and I am walking all day. These shoes are super supportive and lightweight. The colors are amazing and I get constant compliments when I wear them!
