I was pleasantly surprised how carbon plate rocking sensation felt while running. It made my stride seem smoother and easier. The shoe has less cushion than I'm used to but overall on shorter distances of 3 -5 miles I really didn't notice it. It is very light weight but not great in wet, snowy conditions. I wish it came in women and men versions. I'm a 5'4", 115 pound female with relatively narrow feet. The unisex size is larger and wider than a standard women's shoe. I normally wear a 7 and had to go down 1/2 size for it to fit properly. Overall a fun and different shoe that I would highly recommend.

Best running shoe out there

For work and on her feet all day , it's a very comfortable shoe, stylish and goes with all of her work clothes

My wife walks with these sneakers, she loves them. She wants another pair in a different color. I also have 2 pairs. Love them

This shoes improve my running. It feel like hugging your feet, so comfortable and the cushion is legit.

Great running shoes, running everyday the last 3 weeks and they are amazing.

Honestly when I got these out of the box I noticed these were definitely a level up from the regular carbon x. Solid upper and achilles support. Love the integration of the tongue with the rest of the shoe, one piece. Took them out for a test run and felt great from warm up to cool down. Hoka please keep these in the lineup.

I use this sneaker for my long runs and it is extremely comfortable. I am a mid foot striker and it has a noticeable rock forward without putting any pressure on the ball of my foot. I have some bunions and the toe box is perfect.

Great shoe with great fit. Responsive and perfect cushion for all types of runs. And the plate is just the right amount of spring.

Better than the first- great for the long run. It's stiff in the forefoot and soft in the heel. I've done several 10k runs in them and I don't know how or why but I always am faster than on my other Hokas.

The Carbon X is hands down the best running shoe I've ever had. This is my second pair, as I put a lot of miles on every week. I've run through many shoes and brands over the years and suffered injuries from over pronation, but these give me the cushion and support I need, but are amazingly lightweight. I hope that HOKA continues to make these for many years to come.

THEY ARE PERFECT. Suffered BAD with plantar fasciitis / heel spur and my running took a hit. Tried every sneaker imaginable that everyone says "you have to try" - finally someone said "get HOKAS" and hadn't been sure because the brand wasn't familiar. I ordered a pair and I honestly can't even believe how much of a difference they make. I'm scrolling constantly for at least one more pair. They're not inexpensive but worth every dollar. Love. Love. Love.

I'm 27 and I run everyday for exercise, and these are my first pair of Hoka's. Hands down the best running shoe I've ever had, and that's comparing them to all the other major shoes brands. Amazing comfort and they look cool too. It gives me an extra pep in my step, literally with the recoil type feel on every foot strike to help propel me stride after stride. Since wearing these I've been more encouraged to run and have been running further distances because of the comfort and support of these shoes.

Fast! I use the Clifton for training and Carbon X for racing. Just put in a 50k road run last weekend. My legs never felt so good the next day.

I have used the shoes for over a month and like the motion and feel comfortable for long runs.

I have 8 pairs of Hoka shoes. Wouldn't buy any other brand.
