Great shoe. Very comfortable. I have Plantar Fasciitis so while they are comfortable, sometimes my feet still ache in them for a bit initially but are fine after the first 2-3 min. For those with flat feet -because your foot spreads out a bit more, you may need a wider width as I have noticed that if I was to walk for long, extensive walks or if I was an avid runner, these might rub my instep, but overall these are great for being on my feet all day or walking around the neighborhood.

Walking/hiking with my dog. I thought I'd love the "plush" footbed, but it feels a little too squishy after having a couple pairs of the Speedgoat. Next pair I'll go back to the tried and true. Love the fit, love the look, just a little too soft.

Love the cushioning/ had to adjust to a feeling of climbing uphill in the shoe-like my heel is lower than the front of my foot but am adjusting to this . Also, feel little whobbly in the shoe ( my equilibrium is not as good as I age ) but still workable. but it is very much helping my metatarsal problem in one foot.

I really like the look and feel of these Stinson model. Wider toebox is great. My only complaint is that the soles are not that durable for trails. Would like to have the Speedgoat soles on the Stinson for my "perfect" hiking/running shoe.

Since the Hoka is a wider shoe I can size down 1/2 size. I loved this shoe - felt like walking on a big huge cloud. Unfortunately they didn't have my proper size and had to return. The shoe is large - not just in sizing but overall.

The shoes fit well, and I liked the colour scheme but they were massive - like boats, and super super spongy. Too cushioned for me.

I was seeking a shoe with maximum cushion and this definitely meets that criteria. I had my meniscus reattached so I need max cushion. It is a lot of shoe when you first put them on (I'm small and weigh 103 pounds so I thought it would be too much) but you don't notice it when running as it felt light for the 'size' of shoe, supportive, springy, and plenty of cushion. Felt like I could avoid a prominent heel strike despite the size of the heel and the width of the bottom resulted in a more stable feeling through my knee when on uneven grass. Ran on wet grass but because the stack height is plenty high, and enough water resistant of a cover over the toe box, my foot stayed dry which I was pleased with since Gore-Tex wasn't an option. Also felt like the shoe provided great cushion on asphalt for the short distance I went on the road. I like them better for running vs walking as it does feel like too much of a shoe when walking. Tongue is well padded, unlike some other Hoka shoes.

This shoe is cut very wide. Not as narrow as the Challenger, but has more padding . I am going to try a size shorter to see if it is a better fit. otherwise I will stick to the challenger even though it won't give as much protection on rocky trails.

The fit is great and they give me the support I need. The soles are very noisy when I walk - they squeak with each step. And the soles have already started to wear down a lot just after one month of use. I wish the soles were sturdier!

I use this pair of Hokas for 3-4 mile mostly walks on a gravel path. They offer excellent traction and cushioning, and I love the shape of the sole. The only reason it's not 5 stars is that the right shoe puts some pressure on my bunion despite anything I do with the laces. If I didn't have bunions, these would be perfect (and in fact, the left shoe is.)

I've worn Hokas for many years. I walk and work out twice a day. I like these because they have a light rocking motion that really helps my heels, they feel as if they're on a cloud. It doesn't do much for the ball of the feet. Under cushion it had "Plush" but compared to the Bondi, its not plush, its ok. Wish we could have both. One pair used to last for years but they might last 1 year now. Sadly the price keeps increasing no matter how much the quality might lessen. Its a good shoe.

These are super-comfortable, supportive, well-cushioned shoes. The only reason I give them four rather than five stars is that the tread seems to be glued on--just like the ATR 5s. The tread started peeling off the bottom of my ATR 5 Hokas within about four weeks of purchase, even though I mostly run on trails rather than asphalt. I'm afraid this might happen with my new ATR 6s, too. One other tiny complaint: I dislike all of the color options for this shoe. I chose the most pleasing, a deep blue with pink and green highlights. I prefer running shoes that pass as everyday footwear, and don't scream "Look at me: I'm a runner!" The shoes can have fluorescent markings for safety, but overall, they should be inconspicuous rather than statements of fashion or lack thereof.

Most comfortable shoe I have ever purchased! Helped tremendously with the pain in my heel. Very soft and comfortable. My only con is that they have more bulk than I'd prefer in a shoe (aesthetically). Absolutely no pain in my heel when walking or running. I plan to try other styles in this brand as well. I usually size up on my walking shoes, but ordered my exact size (9) in the ATR Stinson and have enough wiggle room to move about in.

I wish HOKA does NOT change the older model size(Stinson ATR 5), should've add more color. HOKA, people feet DO NOT change size. So, if someone likes Stinson ATR 5, DO NOT make is smaller for the next model number, then everyone will stop buying it.

I chose these to replace my brooks. They are ok for about 3 hours then my feet start burning. I work in healthcare.
But they are comfy. Speedy shipping.
Thanks.

I definitely like these shoes because they are so comfortable. I like the way the toebox is wide because it definitely accommodates anyone with a wide foot. I think this is what makes them feel like they almost run just a tad too large. But I would not go down a size because then I the toes would definitely touch the front of the shoe. I would rather have them feel just a tiny bit roomy than too snug. I gave a 4 star review because the laces are so elastic that I have to pull them quite snuggly close to the opening and it kind of squeezes that part of my foot. But that can be adjusted easily.

These are definitely cushy shoes and seem well made. A friend loves her. I wanted to love these, but I am returning them for a few reasons. First, based on other reviews, I ordered a half size smaller than usual. Mistake. I should have ordered my regular size. These were a bit too short. My big toe was nearly at the end of the shoe. And, I think I may have gotten a wonky pair because the right shoe felt very cushy, but the left one not as much. I also ordered the Kaha Low. The Kaha would be my choice of the two because the tongue is gusseted, the material is less likely to allow debris into the shoe, and the shoe itself looks sturdier and more likely to last. Of course, the Kaha costs more. That figures. The Kaha hugged my foot better and didn't seem to try to force my foot to do anything, unlike the Stinson. But if you are looking for cushioning and a shoe that sort of propels you forward, the Stinson would be a better choice. I'm going to try one more pair of Hokas. And I am also trying the new Kuru shoes. They are unusual but seem well made. I used to wear Keens but lately, like many other people, I have been disappointed in the quality of the materials and workmanship on Keens. Sigh. I would also recommend checking out the Saucony Integrity 3 Walker (NOT the Echelon). It runs a bit small, but it's leather, comfortable and supportive. A more lightweight shoe perfect for walking and light hiking.

Originally I got a pair of the Stinson ATR 5, in my normal Hoka One One size 9 (I normally get a 9.5 in Brooks, but Hoka’s run large). They were way TOO big all around, in width and length, like super-sized. I had to return them. Because I’ve gone through my 3rd pair of Hoka Bondi’s, I just needed something more durable, which is why I tried the Stinson, even though its a trail shoe, and I just walk on the road, generally 6-9 miles at a clip, 4 X’s per week. Months later, with bad luck on many shoes, I thought I would give the Stinson another try, this time I went for the ATR 6, but, due to my previous experience with the ATR 5, I got an 8.5. These work much better. The width is better, though the length is close, but I wear thin socks. So far I’ve done 2 nine-mile walks in them and have not had any problems, no blisters or hot spots. I like this shoe for the high stack height in the heel and the heel-to-toe offset is 5 mm. I would recommend this shoe, just keep your toenails clipped. They’ll stretch out eventually and I’m sure I’ll be able to wear a toe and heel cushioned sock for colder weather. Sizing is off, but the comfort level excels.

True to size for me. I logged about 300 miles of toothy and steep Arizona desert hiking trails in this shoe. I trained for the Grand Canyon Rim to Rim in the heat, rain, uphill, downhill, rocky, sandy - practically all types of terrain. The cushion was an enormous help and I never had foot problems. It was nice not having to worry about tired feet or blisters when hiking 25-28 miles in a single day. I highly recommend. I took off one star because you must be careful hiking terrain that is very rocky - you can roll your ankle if you are not paying attention to foot placement. For me, I would rather deal with the occasional rocky path and having to be a little more mindful than with tired achy feet on long hauls. I've hiked in Hokas for several years. I will be buying this one again. It did not disappoint.
