The 6 is more like the 4, I found the 5 too wide. My only change would be the laces are way to long I have to triple knot them. I wish hoka would make more running shoes with the plush cushioning like the Stinson ATR, they are the only shoes I will run in. (I average about 35 miles a week and these last me about 5 to 6 months)

I have had several different pairs of Hokas and love all of them. But this Stinson is by far the most comfortable out of the box. The "cush" factor is amazing. Super stable, spacious toe box, you don't feel any of the rocks or bumps on the trail under foot. I love them! Prior to these I loved my Speedgoat 2s, but since the 3s and especially the 4s are sooooo different and not in the same league in my opinion, I'll stick with these amazing Stinsons. I'm planning to hike part of the Camino in Spain next year and these may be my answer!!

These are great shoes and I was excited to try them. However, I am hard on my shoes due to disability and I can't manage the price with the wear and tear. Was really hoping they would be sturdier and last longer!

I have Hoka Challengers in a size 8.5 that fit like a cloud but I found this Stinson model to fit smaller. It felt tighter and narrower in the toe area, perhaps partly because the toe on this shoe has a harder reinforcement which keeps the toes squished more tightly. Returning these Stinsons to buy more Challengers.

I wanted to keep this shoe because it felt so good on. I wore it around the house walking, jumping, running in place, etc., it got uncomfortable and almost painful in the area where the shoe tongue hit the top of my ankle. I tried the shoe 3 different times, adjusting the laces, etc., but I could not get the irritation/pain in that area to stop.

I probably should have gotten regular size 9 instead of 8.5

These shoes get great traction on trail hike/run. They are a tad big in the heel for me but not enough t stand back. The toe box gives good space without tightness and the cushion is wonderful but still has stability.

I love Hoka Stinsons and they are my basic shoe for almost everything due to toe a foot issue. I've been wearing them for 6 years, and also have the Hoka recovery shoes for indoors and Bondis for less active outdoor wear. My first Stinsons were the ATR 3 or 4s, and they had a fantastic exterior toe reinforcement. Over the years, the toe reinforcement decreased until now, with the ATR6s, there is absolutely no reinforcement. They are still good shoes, but the quality has declined. My big toe actually popped through with my last pair. They top toe box area even looks "cheap". Until I find an alternative, I will keep buying them due to the other factors I need for healthy, comfy feet.

I work in a hospital and on my feet all day walking. Use to wear trail shoes, but the nurses swear by it so I tried and still in process of getting use to but I am not in as much pain as I was.

Nice shoe. Not as comfortable as my other HOKA shoes. I'm buying for a walking trip and it just didn't feel comfortable.

I took a few days before I felt the benefit of these shoes re my plantar fasciitis. Doesn't relieve the pain, but makes it more tolerable. Big, ugly, wide clodhoppers though. I wear a 9 B and they look like 10Ds. Almost don't fit on a stair step, which is dangerous. Will use them for long walks only when my foot feels better.

Pros: very comfortable- like walking on memory foam
Cons: rough cut at the top of the shoe- for the price expected better quality; i might have received a returned merchandise.
I will be returning and purchasing a different pair/style

I have plantar fasciitis that is currently under control, and I've started hiking again (4.5 - 5.5 miles). I wanted to have a hiking shoe with great cushioning, so I contacted Hoka Customer Service and spoke to a representative about the Kaha. She said the Kaha has a lot of cushioning, but so does the Stinson 6, so I checked that one out, and decided to buy it. I've worn the shoes on 3 hikes, and they are definitely cushy. They seem pretty sturdy, too. My only concern is that they seem a little too wide for my narrow feet. I will continue to wear them, as I haven't noticed any slippage when I'm hiking in the hills. I may order the Kaha next time to determine if the higher boot gives me a more secure feeling. In regular shoes, I wear a size 9, but in Hoka shoes, I order a half size up to account for swelling feet.
