I have the first version of the Torrent so I was really hopeful that these would be as comfortable but even after sizing up a half size, the right shoe pinches my foot and makes my big toe numb. My feet must be shaped differently from each other because this is a fairly common issue, I’m just disappointed that Hoka changed something about the torrent and it’s making this an issue for me. I wish they made the Torrent in wide sizes. Bummer.

I normally wear Bondis, but they have no grip in sand, so I tried the Torrent. After a couple of days I’ve had chronic heal pain. Not enough cushion. Went back to the Bondi. May try the Kaha low GTX

I’ve been wearing different styles of Hokas for years, for both distance trail and road racing. These provide the least amount of stability and cushioning of any style. They are ok. I will probably wear them for shorter distances, but nothing over 10 miles.

Love the colors and the fit of the shoe but before I tried the Hoka brand I was wearing Brooks. I started wearing Hokas because everyone was saying how they loved them and now my left foot hurts. I didn't have left foot pain/sorness before I started wearing these shoes. I am willing to try another pair maybe the ones with the thicker sole. Im not gonna count you guys out yet!

I liked the original for the wider toe box. The torrent 2 is narrower and did not fit. I returned the shoe.

Wear Hokas regularly and purchase every four months… These were way too small… must have been mis-tagged. Size nine were an inch shorter than my other Hoka nines…

Did not have the cushioning I was hoping for. Felt very hard when foot contacted ground. Liked the black neon yellow color combo.

The bondi 7 was way more comfortable for a walking shoe.

Expected shoe to feel more comfortable. A little to snug. Had to return but return process was excellent and very easy. Will try other Hoya shoes - just not this model

Cons: The shoe is too high around ankle and I can't wear these for more than 7 miles! (Weekly mileage is 65-85.) Didn't have any problems with the Torrent I, which I loved. Have never had ankle rubbing issues with any other shoe.
Pros: No slippage in the heel. Good balance of cushion and weight. Lightweight upper.

I'd heard great things about these shoes so had to give them a try. Unfortunately I could only wear them several hours before having to take them off, the way my foot is shaped made it hurt so much, kinda bummed because I really wanted them to work.

I LOVED the Torrent and only ordered the Torrent 2 because I couldn't find the Torrent in my size anywhere... I went thru several pairs of the Torrents and they were magical... I'm so super bummed how differently the Torrent 2 fits my feet. My feet were throbbing into the first two miles of my trail run and I had some major heal slippage which I did not experience in the Torrent. Why Hoka One One, why did you have to break up my love affair with the Torrent? The good- still excellent traction. The bad- feels much smaller on my fat flat feet than the Torrent and the heel feels lower providing for heel slippage. Oh sadness. And the hunt for another favorite trail shoe begins once again.

Everyone talks about how great these shoes are but sadly I didn’t get that experience. Maybe I just got the wrong style. These are not comfortable at all and provide no arch support. Like even just walking around my house was uncomfortable

These shoes actually hurt when I used them for running. Can not recommend at all. They are stiff and hard and feel terrible.

Not Impressed with the shoe at all put my orthotics in it and they make a noise when I walk none of my other shoes to do that I definitely will not be purchasing the spraying again.

Sadly - I had to return - the heel fit is much wider than the original. I've worn through 2 pairs of the original Torrent and would buy them again - the Torrent 2 just doesn't fit the same............sa sorry!!!

these are far more uncomfortable than any of my previous hokas. I compare them to flintstone brick shoes in how they feel compared to the cloud-like predecessors.

I didn't like the way this style of HOKA fit or felt....I've been wearing HOKA for about 7 years. I love the way they feel but this style just didn't feel like the Hoka shoes that I'm used to.
I'd also recommend:
I don't recommend any other brand of athletic shoe except HOKA. Bjorn, Sam Wietzman, ariat
