I was going to return the Hoka’s because I couldn’t justify spending $249 on 2 pairs of shoes at one time, but after much consideration I I have decided to keep both. They are both comfortable and I have never had a Hoka shoe before so I decided to go for it. I’m not accustomed to spending so much money at one time but I just could not make up my mind. I do think that the Hoka shoes are made better than the Brooks. I don’t like the material on the top of the Brooks shoe but I did like the color so I am keeping both.

The Hoka's came right away - very excited as everyone was like you need these for your planter's fasciitis. They do feel great - hope the support lasts! Not sure if they were worth the price as the Asics and Ryka's also feel good on my feet. Only time will tell.

These fall short from the Rincon shoe. Not enough padding and a little bit less room. Nice color.

These were a different style than my last pair of Hoka's and these were not as comfortable and were too narrow. I like Hoka and will definitely try a different style

I stand on concrete all day at work. My only issue was I had to buy some more support for the inside.
With all the shoe companies out there that I've seen this one is by far the best for me hands down

If you like Hoka for walking or running you will like this shoe for hiking. The shoe is light, not heavy like other hiking shoes. Not too wide & not too narrow. Feet do not slip in shoe when walking down hill. Grips to dirt trails nicely.

I liked my walking hokas better for my job. The sole had some wear after just two weeks of wearing them

I bought these shoes for a 40-mile backpacking trip around Mt. Hood in Oregon - with a very up and down trail made up of all types of terrain: dirt, gravel, sand, snow, rocks, and river crossings. These shoes held up through all of it, and gave me ZERO blisters. I was comfortable throughout the entirety of my trip. To add, they also dry fast and the laces stay tied. I am a 5.5 size in regular, everyday women's shoes. But I bought a size 6 in these HOKAs so that my hiking socks would have room. I never had a problem with the shoes feeling too big. I love these shoes, and can't wait to take them out on the next trail!

These shoes have massive helped my feet and ankles after long walks and runs. Very nice cushion that makes all the joints much happier than they were before!

I walk/run in town and on trails. I like a low profile shoe but needed more support than the last pair I had (not Hokas). These provide the natural gate I want but w a bit more padding. I wish the toe box were just a little bit roomier. But otherwise this is a great shoe for me.

I have two other pair of Hokas - Challenger & Clifton. Fell in love with them both, so ordered this pair since the colors were so nice and bright. Not the same shoe. :( I have a neuroma and the two previous pairs were soft and cushioning and did not cause any pain. This Torrent 2 is much more rigid and not at all what I was expecting. I'll go ahead and keep them because I love the colors so much, but I won't be wearing these on any long hikes which I use the others for.

This is my 3rd pair of Hokas. The other two are Clifton and Challenger and are much softer than these. Disappointed with that as I have a neuroma which is what first brought me to Hoka. I'm keeping these more for the colors, but these will not be long-range walkers like the other two. Disappointed with comfort for the cost.

I loved the blue with the orange base of this shoe. I have flat feet so I need to use my orthotics for arch support. Walked 3.5 miles to break it in. Very comfortable with a generous toe bed.

Great grippy tread and nice style. I have low arches and the shoes did not provide the support I need so sadly they did not work for me. I usually wear an 8 in athletic shoes and these in size 8 fit well in length and width.

I love the fit, my sixth pair of Hokas, but the left shoe has 2 errors that look off.

My primary activity is walking/hiking. I have knee replacements and back issues so having comfortable and supportive footwear is crucial to me. I haven't had a lot of time, yet, to test out my new shoes but I believe they fit the bill. And, I love the color! My first order was for a size 8. I run between a size 7.5 and 8 depending on the shoe. They were comfortable but just too long. I reordered a size 7.5 and that works fine.

Was introduced to HOKA in California visiting my family last week. My trail shoes were nearly dead and wanted to try something new. Bought two pairs--these Torrents for walking on city sidewalks at home. I have orthotics, small feet, a bunion only on my right foot so finding comfortable shoes that do the job for an aging athlete is a challenge. Took these out of the box, laced 'em up, and walked 6 miles without a moment of discomfort. Can't wait to try my new trail shoes! I'm a fan.

My friends were all wearing Hokas, so thought I'd give them a try. Don't like the look of them (I'm more of a subtle, minimalist sort of shoe wearer), but find I'm putting them on more than my other shoes. Gardening, hiking - even up steep, rocky trails - walking in the hood, and running into town. So I guess my feet like them! They're light, comfy, and offer the right kind of support.
