I wore them 4 times while walking and gym and my ankles were killing me. I have over pronation and this is not enough support for me

The shoe looked great online but when I got them in it was a different story. I have some hiking boots that are hoka and I like them but all the shoes I have gotten and seen need a new design.

The shoes look very well made, but I was unable to get into them as my ankle is swollen with arthritis. I shall have to return the pair and try to find something else that is not as sturdy and in a wider size.

I had an older version of the Clifton and it was my first Hoko purchase. Loved them! So much cushion! Like I was running on a cloud. The latest Clifton I just purchased, is going back! It's not soft at all. Not even comfortable in the slightest. I'm so disappointed because I thought I found a running shoe for life.

They are soft, but too big and too wide. I feel like I am wearing clown shoes and keep tripping.

Loved the Clifton 6 wide. This shoe, the tongue is tacked down with mesh and now this style shoe no longer fits. My feet hurt after having the shoe on for 30 min.

I'm happy with Hoka's return policy and that they are still making the 6. The 7 inner sole felt overly stiff in the arch and the heel and the toe box was too narrow. I didn't feel like I was going to fly. In fact, I felt like I was going to injure my ankle. Missed the loop on the heel too.

I heard my friend saying that her doctor recommended this brand, so got this pair for walking. But as soon as I put them on they felt very uncomfortable. I returned the shoes. I think it's not for flatfoot people.

I have had these shoes for 30 days and the inside of the lining has come apart and the shoe is rubbing my ankle and creating a blister.

I have worn cliftons for a long time now but the more you make, the worse they fit my feet. I am sending these shoes back to you hoping that you will go back to the original clifton which was the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn.

The fit and size were accurate; however, the bottoms are very stiff and uncomfortable; they do not allow my feet to bend in them at all. The insole is basically hard and flat and light arch support did not fall in the proper place. My feet, knees and hips hurt after attempting to walk a short time in them. I would return but I continued to try to break them in - they are just very uncomfortable shoes for me and I am extremely disappointed.

It felt like the front of my foot was higher than my heel. I just tried on, walked around a few steps and packaged back up for return. Not my kind of running shoe.

The trouble with buying shoes online is you never know if they will work for you. I really wanted to like them! The colors were so pretty! But this is the second pair and I have not had any luck with HOLA so far! :(

Unfortunately, this shoe is not good for those with a higher volume of foot/perhaps the right shoe is defective. The left shoe fits great, and I have had volume issues with that foot as well. I have not had an issue before where one foot felt tight on the top and the other did not. So it is so strange that my right foot is feeling tightness while my left foot does not. I tried parallel lacing, and it brings a little relief, but still, it is tight. Because I loved the fit of the right shoe so much, and due to reviews here complaining about tightness on top being fixed this way, I ended up cutting the mesh webbing out of the right foot. That was a mistake. I hope my review comes up along with those others ones so folks think twice about trying to solve the issue themselves. It still feels tight on top, and now I cannot return them. I tried on a variety of sizes in this specific shoe (smaller, larger, in wide...), and this was the best fit besides the right foot with the tightness on top. If you have had any issues with foot volume in a running shoe, then I would stay away from these. I actually saw in referencing reviews again that someone else had this same issue where the left foot was fine but the right tight on top. I should have stuck with my regular New Balance, but got caught up in all of the glowing reviews for this shoe on running websites. If we were not in a pandemic, I would have tried these on in the store and not tried to fix the problem based on what others did. I really wish Hokka described volume in its shoes, for the price, I don't understand why that is not mentioned or considered important to detail. I am very disappointed in what is either a defect in the right shoe or overall design oversight.

These shoes may be fake Hoka. I’ve had Hoka in past that were high quality. Unfortunately, after running in these only a few times, the fabric tore and frayed in 2 places (has a hole) and the inside paint?? Logo ia rubbing off. Very poor quality. They don’t feel nearly as supportive as other Hoka. And now I have a injury and not sure if related to Hoka. Wish I could get refunded for a better or real Hoka. These were a real waste of money. Other Hoka are much better.

What happened to the shoe I used to love? I can't even wear these for more than a half hour when I used to wear my Hokas all day long and love them. They're way too narrow and they hurt my feet. The lives are much shorter and for some reason I can't unlace them loosely enough to get my foot in and out with ease. Awful.

I ordered my normal size. I have worn HOKAS to work for years. Now, they are all I wear. I LOVE them. I HATE this pair. It is the same style and same size that I always order. They are a full size too short. I've been trying to wear them a little at a time, hoping that I just needed to "break them in." I've never needed to do that with Hokas, but okay, I'll try to make these work. NOPE, nothing has made them better. Yesterday, I was determined to wear them all day. Now, I have sore feet and my toes actually hurt from these shoes. Something went wrong here!

I was very disappointed in the new Clifton 7 shoes. I own the Clifton 6 and they are way better. More cushion & support. I have worn them out so I recently bought this version. These are much stiffer & do not have as much cushion as the previous version. I run in them almost everyday & my feet hurt. They don't have any cushion in them. I own 4 pairs of Hokas. So I was very disappointed.

I have the Clifton 5 knit in 6.5 regular width which is wonderful, the Clifton 6 in a size 6 even, regular width which is also great, I've tried this version, Clifton 7 in 6.5 regular (way too long, narrow) and size 6 regular, way too tight and finally decided to try sized 6 wide per my local running store. NOPE! I'm so disappointed. I thought I'd finally found a shoe I loved as much as my old Nike Zoom Vomeros. But! ZAPPOS IS STILL SO WONDERFUL-I wouldn't shop for shoes online anywhere else! THANK YOU ZAPPOS!

Disappointed in the color, but more importantly, found the shoe too wide for my narrow heels.

Sadly, I had to return these sneakers. They cut my toes- wearing bandaids- ugh!! With each update, the Clifton gets worse and worse. The Clifton 4 was perfection and then with the 5 things started to go downhill. I think Hoka One One wants to become "cool", branching out with ugly overpriced clothing yet unaware that "dad" sneakers are really "in" fashion now! But, making clothing does not preclude making decent footwear that lasts. I must now try the Bondi, the Edge and the Rincon. My old feet became addicted to the cushioning. Change is good but not for the worst. The change could simply be in the colors! Speaking of colors- if Hoka One One wants to be "cool" the colors could be a problem. They are ugly. Make every shoe in plain white at least- who wants purple shoes? But the bottom line is probably that like everything else the level of quality has gone because the owners are greedy.
