These shoes felt great but not for me. I do not have an arch that works well with this shoe even though I bought a wide. Lots of pain!! but the return process was easy!

I really wanted to love these. They looked a wee bit clunkier in person, and didn't have quite the cushy feeling I was expecting. But I'd have accepted all of that if only they weren't so loose in the heel. I could have pulled the back of my foot right out even with the laces tied tightly. FYI, I have feet on the wide side of normal and usually wear a size 9. The size on these was spot-on and there was plenty of room in the toe-box.

This was a big purchase for me, and I had been wanting Hokas for several years. I did find that they ran large- my usual size 8 had to be exchanged for a 7.5 - which i never wear. But after finding the right fit, they are so very comfortable and great to wear.
After having these shoes for a few months though, I am starting to see that they are already wearing out. Particularly along the edge by the holes that the laces thread into. Those holes/edges already have loose threads that are fraying and unraveling. This is soooo disappointing for me, I for instance have a pair of Brooks that Ive been wearing for YEARS that have not even remotely started to do anything like this. I was hoping these shoes would last considering what an investment they were for me!
Another thing is that they are not cleanable or washable. I got the white color and looked up cleaning instructions on the website, and did not put them in the washing machine but washed (or tried to wash) gently by hand. they do not clean. at all. no matter what product i use . its frustrating.
That, coupled with the already fraying edges have be feeling sad. Other than that, the shoes are comfortable and fit great.. ive been wearing them for almost 4 months though and yeah they are not going to last.

Shoes are great as far as been comfortable. The color is also cool. The only thing is that they look a little too big on me, as they seem to be bulky. I also didn't like the fact that I payed for expedite shipping and it took the same or even more time than it would have with regular shipping.

My she's stretched on my 3rd run and then started to slip. This is unfortunate as I think they are a fantastic running shoe. I have returned for a smaller size. I can't wait to receive my new shoes and get back out running.

Love everything about this shoe except the top part of the shoe is a dull white - more like ivory color. Did not match the photo. Wish it were more white as shown.

The Clifton 7 definitely gave me speed via the meta-rocker, however as a forefoot striker the heel of the shoe felt a bit heavy. Also, I usually order half a size up to allow my foot to expand. No need to do that with the Clifton 7s - they are true to size. As much as I wanted to love these shoes, I had to return them.

Shoe is comfortable in many ways but even though I ordered a wide, the toe box is not wide enough. I suffer from a bunion on big toe side and bunionette on the little
Toe side. The material is soft enough to not cause pain but the shoe base is too narrow. The outside of my foot overhangs the sole causing pressure and pain. Sadly I cannot wear for distance walking.

I got these to wear to work. I work in a warehouse on concrete floors and am on my feet for about 10 hours a day. I can wear them the 1st day but them I have to switch to a different pair for a day or two. I would probably not buy these again as they are expensive and not doing what I hoped they would do.

One of the better looking Hoka shoes. It’s not SO bulky geriatric looking. Size 9 and above ladies would like an even more streamlined version. Very comfortable. They run 1/2 size large.

I was so excited to try these sneakers. I have a wide and flat-ish foot and heard that these are great for my feet issues. I tried a size 8W, 7.5W and a regular size 8. All three were initially so comfortable but after about 15-20 min on the treadmill (light jog, small inclines, etc.), the bottom of my feet would burn so much! This never happened with my Brooks. I tried different socks as well and also adjusted the laces so not too loose/tight. Unfortunately will be returning all 3 pairs.

Unfortunately these shoes cause pain in my right arch after walking in them for only a few minutes. Tried several times and each time same result. I never have arch pain so not sure what the cause is. I bought Hoka athletic slides and they are amazing with no issues.

I have an earlier Clifton (the 4) that I've been in love with for years. The Clifton 7 does not have nearly as much of a bottom "rocker" as the 4, which is disappointing. I have big toe joint problems and the 4, with the strong rocker, was great for that. I wear a pretty thick orthotic and so far, no problems with the weird attached tongue, like another reviewer mentioned. Actually I don't even notice the attached tongue at all when I'm wearing these, so it's not an issue for me. I just wish there was more rockin' action! Can't decide whether to return these or not. If you don't have foot problems though, you will probably love these shoes.

They are just too spongy for me. I am older and have a balance problem and they made this problem worse. I love the shoe and hope I can make it work.

Hoka is still better than most brands, but this pair is not as comfortable as the others I have purchased in the past.

I tried them out and I wasn't pleased. After 3rd or 4th run it ended up giving me a blister on the inside near my arch. Therefore, decided to return them. Maybe going into a store and trying them out is a better fit for me. Thank you.

The Clifton 7 was disappointing. I had worn Hoka’s before the Clifton 4 and was expecting a similar feel. I appreciated the lighter weight, softer top fabric and style but they were just not comfortable. Although I bought a wide they were more narrow across the bridge of my foot and the toe box was more cramped. It felt as if they were squishing my toes together. The insoles were minimal with little support. I am also not a fan of the stays sewn in for the tongue. It tended to roll against skin on inside of foot even with good quality socks. I chose to return them.

Not impressed by the Clifton 7, in fact, I hate them! The new heel design is definitely not for me. I love love love my Clifton6s. I wish I could get another pair!

Too bad that the wide width was not wide enough. The Bondi and Akasa fit me well. I liked these sneakers but not at the expense of comfort. They were returned.

I have a wide foot with a narrow heel and the Clifton USED to be perfect for me. After 2 pairs, I ordered the Clifton 7 and much to my disappointment, they have changed the sizing. These are longer and more narrow than previous models, even in the wide width. I even went down a half size which fit the length of my foot but width was too tight in the arch and toebox, and too large and unsupportive in the heel. The quality is good and I like the "boot-like" idea with the tongue being attached but it was too tight, too the point of cutting off my circulation. Thank goodness for Zappos awesome customer service!

they are really big. Like a full size too big. I'd like to try a size or two down.
