I need a lot of cushioning and these are the best i have found. My toes and bunion have plenty of room. The arch is good but the cushions is awesome. Even though it is supportive is flexible. I would change one thing and that is the tongue is stiff and thin.

I have metatarsal issues and thought m'y On running hiking shoes were finebut these far excd performancethey are light weight so when I add my extra insoles and toe/metatarsal sock cushion it works really nicely. My On sneakers were too heavy when I add all my stuff. I'm about to go trail jogging nowI'm so happy to be able to do this after a year of laying off because if foot problems. I thought these were going to be too big since my feet are very thin and not wide but they fit great! They grip and balance better than my On I think because these have a wider outer solethought they would be duck like but they are not. I'm really happy but I want a pair all black not gray or any other colors in it just jet black through out so I could wear them as my city shoes. Thank you.

My new favorite go to shoe! Perfect amount of cushion, great tread and long distance comfort!

I've had and loved the Olympus 3.5 great sole cushion, great Altra roomy toe box, the padding on collar holds foot in place. The new 4.0 Olympus, has the great cushioning and of course the roomy toe box, but almost no collar padding at all. Feels sloppy, lots of movement. Ordered same size as previous model. My foot feels like it's sliding around in the shoe, despite different lacing and also tightening laces.

Thought of trying Olympus 4 for trail races. Bought two pairs last month, in June 2021, Both pairs has midsole worn out within 20 miles run. The midsole is made of a bouncy foam material that pretty much you can tear easily. The upper lugs (under the ball of feet) worn out entirely by 120 miles. Some of the fabric edge are starting to fray from the seam. This Olympus 4 is most disappointing.

Please please please bring this shoe back the way it was. It was the best shoe I've ever had in my life and I run every day on concrete and trails and grass. I've never had a shoe that fit My feet as perfectly as this shoe and supporting my planter fasciitis arthritis and all my problems went away when I got this shoe, but you stopped making them! Speaking text, please forgive my grammar and errors.

I bought these shoes after reading a write up about the Camino. The author said they were the best in his opinion. I have to agree! I didn't get one blister! Others in my group did. Wonderful shoes!

These are the most comfortable shoes ever. I have a knee injury, and these shoes have helped me be able to get back to hiking. I wear them hiking, and they are so comfortable that I started wearing them every day as a teacher as well. At work I'm on my feet most of the day, and these shoes are so well-cushioned that my feet do not hurt at the end of the day. The balanced cushioning with zero drop seems to help my knees quite a bit as shoes with an angle seem to affect my knee alignment. I love the width of the toe box, so my toes are not pinched. I have a wide forefoot and a narrow heel, and the heel is not too wide for me. I am so glad that Altra still makes this shoe in the wider Original Footshape Fit. I wish they had more shoes in the Original Footshape Fit. It seems like they are moving towards narrower fits in the other styles, which is something so many other brands already do. I feel like the Original Footshape Fit is what sets Altra apart in the first place. Please never stop making these! My only suggestion would be to standardize the width in all colors. I have this shoe in 3 colors. The coral and the blue were the same width and did not pinch at all, but the black shoes were narrower near my bunion. Thank you for designing these wonderful shoes!

Very comfortable footbed. I use them for work on my feet 10 hr. My feet never get tired in these.

I have very wide and hard to fit feet and these shoes are super comfortable and really help protect the bottoms of my feet from the rocks and roots on the trail.

I work in a high school and cover a lot of ground and do a ton of stairs. These are the most comfortable shoes I have found in several years. If they weren't orange I would wear them everyday! Gotta admit, I love the orange!!

I decided to switch to trail runners for hiking, and after much research, decided to try Altras. It was the best decision I could have made, and I will never hike in traditional hiking boots again. They were awesome right out of the box; I've never worn a more comfortable shoe. They were solid for the entire John Muir Trail, with rough terrain and 45-50 pounds on my back. I cannot recommend them enough-for walking, running, and hiking.

I absolutely love these shoes. I am a walker and just received my third pair. I wear them daily and even my husband wears them running now. Very cushioned, and once they are broken in, they get even more so. I needed a full toe shoe so my toes do not feel any pressure and they have been perfect. Been wearing them for 2 years and won't buy anything else for walking! Hope they do not change or discontinue them!! Every 6 months I treat myself to a new pair!!

I am a professional gardener and am on my feet all day, in all kinds of terrain. I liked the idea of wide toe box, since I have arthritic feet & most so called wide toe box shoes (like Keen) hurt my feet after a full day of being on my feet. My first Altra shoes were the LP Alpine, which are more like slippers; comfy but not supportive at all. Because of the reviews, I decided to try the Olympus 4. Wow! They hug my feet but do not pinch, they have a good arch support, and lots of cush and protection on the bottoms. I wore them all day the first day I got them and my feet (and my back) didn't hurt at all. Thank you!!!
