Great shoe. 400 miles of hard trail and off-trail miles so far and less sidewall damage than usual. Tread holding up well.

Tne design of the shoes is perfect for the neuropothy that I have. I will be buying more of their shoes.

I love the larger toe-box and narrower back-half. My new foot doctor recommended this shoe, to manage bunions on both feet. Dr's recommendation was spot-on! I've never had a shoe fit so well!

Picked these up for an upcoming trip to Sedona. Thought I would have to spend a month breaking them innopebest trail runners I've ever owned. So much support and cushion without compromising grip.

Most comfortable shoes of any type that I own. I have a bunion on one foot and these are so far very comfortable on that foot for easy 6 mile hikes, while the other foot can be laced in snugly enough to keep it from swimming around inside. I'll see later how they do on rocky Sierra Nevada trails on day hikes. Now to find something similar that is waterproof and higher at the ankle. Maybe the Lone Peaks?

Had been thinking about running for a while then a friend (ultramarathoner) suggested this model. I can tell you that coming from wearing other brands this was like running on clouds. I can't wait to try other models plus I love all the color options for each model. ALTRA FOR LIFE!!!!!

Probably the most comfortable and stable running shoe I've ever worn. Quality is excellent and provides all the right attributes I need for active trail use. Though I wear size 10.5 in Oboz and Hoka gear, size 10 in the Olympus 4 fits perfectly. Returned my original size 10.5 order. Zappos service was quick, easy and efficient.

I'm a hiker and long distance backpacker so keep that in mind . Maybe I'm not having issues with durability because of that. With a pack on and trekking poles where I step is deliberate and carefully mapped. I've done 100s of hard miles on rocky granite trails and these hold up great and my feet are not bruised and tender at the end of a 15-20 mile day. I use toe liners socks and a wool hiking crew and there's plenty of room and zero blisters. I've been living in zero drop Altras for 4 years now, you need to slowly get your body used to zero drop before doing any serious miles, but once you're used to them you'll never go back to a heel. I absolutely require a super wide toe box and this shoe is the only one Altra has left that I can wear. Can no longer wear Timps nor Lone Peaks after their redesign. The only thing that they could improve is the difficulty in tightening the laces. Where the lace threads through the tongue there isn't enough space to get ahold of the lace. My partner just took the laces out of the tongue loop Maybe I'll do the same, just concerned the shoes tongue will shift sideways. Minor issue really as it just takes a bit more time to get the shoe adjusted. I'll take a lighter shoe over durable. As long as I can get 500 miles out of it I'm happy. I get that and then some. For me the soles wear out before the uppers.

I have been running in the Lone Peaks and love this shoe. I followed the reccomendations and bought a half size up. Good decision. The extra padding is what I was looking hoping for. I also wore these shoes while working at a convention. Ten hours a day on a concrete floor. My legs felt great each morning. Looking a another pair already.

A friend who runs Ironman's recommended these to me. I don't usually wear trail shoes but these have more cushion and the vibram soles are great for stability. This is my 2nd pair and I love them.

This is my 3rd pair. Have ventured out trying other styles and brands but I keep coming back to these. They just fit my foot better than any other shoe. Because they fit my foot so well, it's easy to rack up the miles. The wide toe box is the best. Once you get used to that, everything else feels cramped.

I need this in a waterproof hiking boot. I live in NE Ohio and for 7-8 months a year we are either hiking in snow or mud! The Olympus 4 seems to be a little wider than the LP 6?

These shoes fit and feel great on my feet; better than most other major brands. This is my fourth pair and I'm certain to buy more in the future. When you find a great fit and the shoe performs well why switch? I do light hiking and walking. My only beef is minor. I wish they had more color combos that appeal to my taste.

Bought 100 pairs of shoes. May stick with the Olmypus the rest of my days. Amazing comfort. nice look. No more plantar faciitis. 200 miles walking in Europe. Dirty but 100% whole. I did add a cushion as cushion gave a little. Feels brand new. Nothing compares. Hoka, Brooks, Asics. Nike, Adidas. Them and other shoes not built for comfort and longetivity.

So I have wide-ish feet. Especially my right foot. I also just cannot stand my foot being 'constrained', clamped in. I'd go barefoot all the time if I could. Don't have to with these. Olympus now.

these shoes are amazing. the toe box is huge, with plenty of room for natural toe flex. They feel loose until you cinch the laces down properly. The fit is roomy, but true to size. They feel a little "extra" roomy because most other shoes are so tight and restrict your toes in an unnatural way. Highly recommend.
