This is my 3rd pair of Torin plush in the last 2 years. The 4.5 is lighter and of better quality than previous models. Only recommendation: Please come out with some other colors besides boring black and navy blue.

I have been wearing Altras since the company was founded. This Torin is the best yet. Feel and fit is consistent throughout my experience with the Torin.

I have a narrow foot with an arch that rolls in toward midline. I find that the Torin is the right amount of support for my weekly running. The cushioned support is super comfortable. One of the most comfortable shoes I've worn in a long time. I also happen to be a podiatrist and recommend these to many patients.

This is the first shoe that allows my feet the width that they need. I am a woman buying a shoe described as for men. A person's gender does not determine the width of their feet. I bought three pairs. The bottom cushion, and width, feel better than any I have worn since 1977. Thank you for these shoes.

I use to Run in NB1080's but these are great. I completely moved to ALTRA's. This shoe is perfect for Road Running

Great cushioning, has helped me on my long runs with my my plantar fasciitis. The mid is less roomy than other altra shoes but it is not constricting. Great shoe.

This is the 5th pair of Altra shoes I purchased (One v3, Lone Peak 4.0, Escalante 1.5, and Escalante 2.0). I've tested these on 2 runs so far (10 miles) and overall I'm very happy with the fit, feel and cushioning. I didn't have any issue with the toe box being too small as others have reported. However, I would recommend ordering a half size up as they do seem to run a little small. I was used to running in the Escalante's which don't have as much cushion on the forefoot as the Torin 4.5 plush and my feet are happier for these shoes making it into the rotation.

First time purchasing Altra brand. Tennis shoes were recommended by Chiropractor. Comfortable, very good time when running with these running shoes. Well balanced, excellent cushion and great fit.

This is my 4th or 5th style of the Torin & the 4.5 Plush is probably the most comfortable. I don't wear them for running (unfortunately can't run anymore) but wear them daily in my podiatry clinic on hard floors. I recommend them for patients who need roomy & very cushioned shoes. I wear my Torin Plush 4.0 for walking the dog-about 25+ miles/wk & wear the Torin for my workout shoes too.

I own and operate a small brewery where all the floors are concrete so cushion is a must. I developed severe plantar fasciitis pain when I used to wear brew boots. Then I switched to wearing only Altra shoes, mostly torrin (and sister shoe Timp) which help recovery and alleviate pain tremendously. These are the best shoes I've ever put on my feet. Big ups to Altra for making them look lightyears better than the Torrin 4s.

It immediately worked, my feet had been hurting for 4-5 years and right when I put on these shoes I could feel a huge difference. Metatarsus adductus is a condition where the metatarsal bones are turned toward the middle of the body. You usually need a big toe box for this condition so these shoes worked like a charm. Not the best looking but they are really comfy. probably the best fitting shoes I've owned.

I made the switch to Altra shoes after battling knee issues, hoping the Balanced Cushion lived up to the hype. Boy did it ever. After doing a 3-4 week transition from tradition drop shoes, to the zero drop Torin 4.5 Plush I haven't had any knee issues. The Torin Plush is hands down most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. I have 420 miles on them, and they still look like new. I should easily get 500 miles on these. I will absolutely buy another pair.

This shoe is great it has the cushion for the ball of my feet which is great I'm a front foot runner and it's hard to find shoes that fit this way however the low drop heel takes some time to get used to after running in other shoes but after you get used to it it's the best shoe I have owned

I've owned 18 pairs of Altras over the last 3 years and this is my 7th pair of Torins. Each version is better than the last. This shoe feels so light and springy that you could use it for faster workouts but I feel that it is best for long moderate runs. I plan to keep it in my rotation as my primary daily trainer and will wear it for 50-70 miles of an upcoming 100. This is the best looking (for Altras) most comfortable and most versatile shoe you can find right now.

I'm 57 and have been running & racing for thirty-eight years now. I have worn shoes from all the major brands over the years, mostly Brooks and Mizuno the last half decade. I was vaguely aware of the advent of newer running shoes brands such as Altra and Hoka, but really didn't pay much attention, as I figured they couldn't bring anything that the old stalwarts weren't already providing. I happened to get lucky and win a pair of shoes through Fleet Feet, my choice as to brand/model. When I went in for a fitting, I decided to put the young associate through his paces, figuring I would ultimately walk out with a new pair of what I was already wearing. His personal go-to was Altra and he brought them out third or fourth. He warned me about the need to ease in to the shoes because of the zero drop and that almost scared me off, as I have never bought into the notion of having to break in runnning shoes. Decided I would try them on regardless. Simply put, they were THE most comfortable running shoes I had ever worn in my life. I tried on a couple of other brands, but this decision was a no-brainer. I heeded the advice to allow my body to get accustomed to the different fit, rotating these with my Brooks. Going into month three, the Altra still feels plush, it is very durable and I have found my new shoe of choice! Is Altra the right style of shoe for everyone? Certainly not; no shoe can be all things to all runners. However, now that I have discovered the brand and started paying attention, it is my impression that experienced runners tend to gravitate toward Altra. Bottom line: exceptional fit, incredibly plush and from all apperances, just fine in the durablity department. Highly recommend!

Over the last year, I've had to switch to a neutral shoe because of ankle issues. The torin plush has been the first shoe that I've been able to run in comfortably without having the arch pain I got from other neutral shoes. The shape of the shoe has also been a big help as, I have a wider forefoot and narrow heel. I'm 2 weeks into running with these shoes and couldn't be happier. P.S. The zero drop nature of the shoe was a little difficult at first, but its a small price to run pain free.

I've been running in the 4.5's for about 1.5 months. Around 120 miles give or take. They still have plenty of cushion in them. Most running inserts you have to replace with better ones but Altra inserts in the 4.5's are great. Wish they had other color options. I got the red ones but beware that the red is more maroon than red, definitely darker than the pictures. Great shoe, I'll get another pair down the road.
