I sized up from large to extra large so it wouldn't be too snug for everyday wear since these are meant to be form-fitting. It is so beautifully made and high quality. I want to wear it all winter, not just for sports. It breathes and isn't too hot even though it's wool. It is pure merino wool and very soft. It is not itchy at all. It doesn't make me sweat even while being active. The pattern is subtle and classy. Overall I couldn't be happier.

I've worn just a base layer shirt in below 0 C with snow falling while hiking and was fine. Keeps you warm while wet. I climbed a mountain at night with snow consistently far past the top of my shoe. I had just one pair of shocks on, when I got to the bottom after hours, I poured water out of my shoe. I was fine with shocking wet feet in the winter!

These sweaters all fit close to the body, so if that's a look you don't like, take one size up. I normally wear a women's large, but I buy Extra large in Smartwool. The men's sweaters I bought were for men 18, 40 and 75 years old and they all loved them.

I bought this because I think it will be great to travel with; light and compact but warm too. Haven't put it to the test yet, but looking forward to Amsterdam in November.

Beautiful, intricately patterned fabric, which will coordinate with several of my bottoms.

This is a great piece of gear, I now have three of different weights. I'm wearing them all the time. Great for around the house, if I go outside it keeps me warm, if I am working up a sweat it wicks and cools me down. It has been perfect for the disc golf course as the temps are changing and you go from aerobic to anaerobic as you play the game.

I use the shirt on our morning walks and on hikes. It's a great layer underneath a shell or on warmer days, it is good alone.

This is a great mid-layer on cold days, or simply a wonderful shirt on brisk days. Although relatively thin and lightweight, it supplies ample warmth on the trail or just a walk around the neighbor. Also, the construction and styling is first rate.

This is warm enough and soft enough for a base layer, but looks great enough to wear as an everyday shirt. #sweepstakes

Love it as an undergarment, or on warmer days, as the only shirt. Very comfortable, I was worried about the zipper at the top only, but that's just fine.
