Form fitting with out constraining. Merino is soft and warm. I have purchased similar shirts from at least 3 other companies, SmartWool is by Far the most comfortable and best fit. Also, really appreciate the color options. I have an older crew, probably 10 years old or more, that is still in great shape. The new version appears to be as good if not better quality!

I love Smartwool products and own three different colors of this shirt. Unfortunately all three of them have developed small holes somewhere on the shirt, I think after being washed (even on gentle). Due to a few of the locations where the holes are I can no longer wear the shirts on their own in a professional setting. That being said, I will never toss them until they fall apart because I love them for camping/backpacking where a small hole is just extra ventilation. Just wish they were more durable and I'd wear them all the time.

These are my husband's favorite tops! They work alone as sweaters on mild days and work well as base layers in the cold weather. They wash well on a normal cold water setting (no need for delicate cycle was) and dry beautifully on a low setting. They are well made and last for years!

It's my everyday undershirt base layers. Super comfortable and it can worn multiple days too as they don't stink after a days use.

Feels like they changed them now . Doesn't seem like any wool blend but cheaper synthetic material.

The garment is well tailored and the fabric is a fine weave. The color is perfect. I highly recommend this product

I have so many of these shirts, both crew neck and zip pullovers. They are so warm, wicks moisture and no stink fabric. After all, it's natural merino wool. The color Marmalade Joviansphere is quiet darker than shown, however, the subdued colors look much better than the bright colors shown on the website. You will not be disappointed with 100% merino wool. Smartwool manufactures some really nice stuff year after year. A big fan since early 2000s.

Very happy. Real nice quality. Fits a little big. I should have gone with a medium. . 5" 8" 19o lbs and it fits a little loose.

I bought an XL which seems to run smaller than the other XLs I have bought from Smartwool.
I intended to buy the very lightest base layer, but I bought an intermediate weight by accident. I sure most was my fault, but maybe the website could be more descriptive. Thanks.

This my go to layer for hiking, backpacking and skiing. It is soft, supple and stays warm when wet. You can literally wear it for days and it does not stink like polyester based clothing. You do need to be careful because it rips easier than polyester. Another issue is you can't hang up the shirt because moths will eat holes in it. I put all my smartwool in ziplock bags. Great product and highly recommended!

I am a fishing guide in Chilean Patagonia. I am happy since I dicovered this garment! Weather in Patagonia is constantly changing. This base layer has proven to be the go to for all conditions. It keeps me dry, warm and cool and dries super fast.

Women's tall is not long enough to reach wrist comfortably - men's tall is. Glad I discovered this so I can choose this style and size for further purchases. Many Tall women would be delighted with the sleeve length too.

The SmartWool base layer is by far the best sweater I have ever purchased. This one I just purchased is my third. I wore the first one for 5 years almost every day and I finally had to say goodbye. Great product!!

This is my go-to base layer for fishing steelhead in Michigan. We start early in the morning, and temperatures are in the 20s. I add a second Smartwool t-shirt over this base to provide an effective cold barrier under my insulated waders. Unlike cotton-based layers, wool breaths as things warm up in the afternoon. Smartwood socks and thermal bottoms round out my gear.
