Comfortable and warm. I wear as a baselayer for downhill skiing against my skin. Medium size is perfect-I am 6' tall -175 lbs - 42" chest. If I had a large, it might be a bit too long.....

I have this shirt in multiple colors and wear it over a Prana cotton T-shirt in the Fall, Winter and Spring. They did change the fit slightly--it looks better in the shoulders but the arms are slightly shorter. I wash mine in warm water and then hang dry (I pull a little on the arms to get the length back which has worked fine for me over the last 5+ years.
PLEASE BRING BACK THE NAVY COLOR! I need to replace the one I currently have--it developed holes in the elbows (which is the only place this shirt seems to break down for me). I can appreciate new colors and that you still offer black and gray, it would be nice if navy blue was part of the conservative staple and it would still give those who are not so bold consistent color options.
Also, PLEASE BRING BACK THE HUDSON SWEATER IN THE ORIGINAL FABRIC. I will layer this over the Thermal Long-Sleeve. The second generation Hudson is made from a different material that (I believe is more eco-friendly) is warmer but not as comfortable. It would be a unfortunate to decide to discontinue such a great sweater because the new material was not well received.
I only wear Smartwool socks, even the everyday dress socks for the office.
Wool is an amazing natural material: insulates when wet, order-free after days of backpacking, and helps regulate temperature across a broad range of temperatures.
I'm always searching to dial in my gear, clothes, etc. and this product is one I have not upgraded, hence, the shirt I wore today with holes in the elbows. It attracts comments from my friends but I don't care. Please bring back the navy blue color!

My Smartwool baselayers are simply the best things in my wardrobe. I wear them for almost three seasons here in the Northeast and even on some cool summer nights. I love them because they are so smooth under layers that top layers never snag or bunch like other baselayers might. I also wear them as a long sleeve pullover on it's own and always look neat and stylish. Couldn't be happier with them.

Use this for skiing. Gave up my Under Armor cold gear for this. It's much better for temperature regulation. Switched out medium for large returns a little slow.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
I bought this to replace one I bought ten years ago and it’s just as comfortable as the old one. I love this shirt. Awesome base layer.

Up in the North Country it is great for another thin layer that adds a lot of warmth! Very comfortable and great fabric!

I had this while backpacking in Amsterdam and Belgium and it was perfect. Light and warm, can get a little wet and still stay warm. Perfect under a base layer in wind and rain.

This is a reliably great base layer. Husband loves it, has two, charcoal and burgundy, and birthday is perfect time to add another color. At this point, it's just about the colors; can never have too many. He wears it for both outside work and hiking, finds it a little warm for indoors (even though our house is old and a bit drafty).

Great fit (5'6" 155 lbs and the medium is perfect) and nice and thick. Haven't used it yet, but it passes the eyeball test.

Wanted to try something natural after using UA base layers. The UA base layer is 100% synthetic and feels gross while sweating. Also going from a outside cold environment to a warm inside environment was unbearable. I have none of these problems with my new Smartwool base layers. Comfortable, breathable and wicks moisture away better any material I've ever worn. I'm definitely going to try out the socks now, lol.
