This material is rather thick; I'd say it is more than twice as thick as the merino 100. Same great quality. I'm looking forward to wearing this shirt for many, many years. Way to go, Smartwool. I'd love to own many more Smartwool items.

Love the fit for this shirt, not only is it warm and comfy but looks great too. This will be one of my new favorite shirts to wear.

This is all I want to wear in the winter. Soft, warm. Almost never too warm, unless I'm cooking in a warm kitchen.

Purchased this as a Christmas gift for my wife. She has a few of these Smartwool tops and never stops talking about them. She gets cold easily so these are the goto top. Hiking, running, daily life and sleeping she wears them. Good thing they come in many colors!

This is a great, classic base layer shirt that I own in several different sizes and colors. It fits like it was specifically tailored for my torso. It even has long enough sleeves that I can ball up my hands in the extra length if they get cold while running. I am 5ft 6in, my measurements are approximately 33 27 41, and I buy size medium for a skin tight fit to wear under thicker layers. For a looser fit, I buy it in size large.

Great quality material, will keep you cozy on cold days. Sleeves are nice and long which I appreciate a a tall person. Will likely buy again!

Love these thermal Merino base layers. I have 5 of them and wonderful for working outdoors during cold months. Keeps you warm, yet light weight & sweat absorbing. They are amazing!

These crewneck tops are the best substitute for cotton tees - especially in winter in a mild climate. Great under a flannel shirt.

I've been a Smartwool fan for decades now. I'm an outdoors enthusiast. Favorite time of year for the outdoors is winter, and favorite sport is XC skiing. Lots of sweat and then lots of cold chill. Would never go without smartwool again. Feels great against the skin. Doesn't hold sweat against the skin after the body starts to cool down. Great for casual wear all winter long too. Wouldn't be without it ever again. I'm 5'6", 150 lbs, and size large is perfect. Hugs the skin nicely, without being tight.

I have worn base layers all my life, and Smartwool tops are the absolute best, in my opinion. Ha! I just checked Poshmark, thinking I could find a "gently used" one for a low price, HA!, they hold their value! Mine also look as good as new, although some are nearly 10 years old -

I love the Smartwool basic layers. They are soft, comfortable, and long-lasting. This one is a warm, mid-weight Merino, great on its own or as an underlayer. They do run a little bigger than the size chart suggests. According to the size chart, I'm at the low end of the S range, but I bought the XS and it's a nice relaxed fit.

I am a volunteer in search and rescue. When I'm called out, I often don't know whether I'll be working at a computer in the cab of a truck, hiking through rough terrain, flying a drone, or paddling a kayak. Base layers are key to staying comfortable enough to work effectively. Smartwool base layers are comfortable next to the skin and wick sweat really well. Unlike synthetics, wool doesn't retain body odor. I always carry a spare to and bottom base layer in a dry bag in my backpack. Smartwool base layers are an outdoor professional's best friend.

I bought the crew and bottoms for a trip where I will need a very warm base layer and am very pleased with this selection. I recently wore the top and bottoms for outdoor exercise on a single digit temperature day with fleece pants and top and this top was comfortable, warm and not itchy. I typically wear XS, this was snug (not constricting), but I wanted a close fit since I plan to wear it under other layers. It's very attractive so I could wear it alone if I choose.
