I love the base layer line of Smartwool. I live in them 10 months out of the year due to my Raynaud's disease. The wool breathes very well and doesn't get stinky after a few days like other synthetic products. The sizes are a little confusing because I usually wear XL and the chart recommends medium. I went with Large and everything fit perfectly. I'm 6' tall and 190 lbs and slender.

Wear these while cross-country skiing and hiking as an added layer on cold days. Very comfortable, has excellent heat retention, and is also very breathable.

Warm

I was skeptical about these bottoms. Merino wool is just a tad itchy for me (I usually wear under armour/lulu) but those don't keep me warm playing soccer in the winter. I bought it on a whim and wore them and they were great! I didn't notice the texture bothering me as much as when I had first tried them on and they kept me incredibly warm and I was not overheating! #sweepstakes

Love this. Been searching for new base layers for some time and smartwool's wool is all time. Way better then others I've tried. Soft, stretchy, warm, comfortable odor resistant and colors to match their tops. Underrated feature is the fly access, I can't stand being bundled up in ski gear and having to figure out how relieve myself outside. I'm also looking forward to use them to sleep outdoors while camping. I'm a huge fan of these.

I bought these for those long walks to class on negative temp days here in northern new york. Since then, every time the temp even thinks of going negative I chuck these things on. They simply do the job. My legs stop feeling like their gonna fall off from the cold and my walks to class are way more comfortable. On top of that, their light enough to jog outside on warmer days with a pair of shorts over them. Overall, they do the job when it's cold, and don't overheat me when I get inside. First 100% merino wool base layer bottoms. I have 50/50 bottoms, but I like the tops so much, I had to go with a bottom layer too!
