I've had these boots for almost eight months now, wearing them on alternating days, and I like them but they need to be revised.
Fit: My boots feel about half a size too big with a wide toe box. I appreciate the extra space in the toe box but the extra length causes friction on ruck matches. I would recommend ordering half a size smaller than your shoe size.
Build: These have a suede and fabric upper with a foam, running shoe like, midsole, and a hard rubber sole. The fabric covering the instep of my for state design after a month, exposing the dark cushy fabric underneath. I hope Merrell switches to cordura or another more durable fabric for the outside of the boot in a future revision because this material isn't durable and frayed on a friend's boot in the same place as well. The sole is grippy but the tread isn't that deep.
Comfort: it's great. These are comfortable just walking around or ruck marching. These are very light so these are essentially tactical running shoes.
Overall I like these boots and air find them to be very comfortable but they should at least replace the fabric they use on the upper for something more durable to prevent fraying. I would recommend these if you're looking for a light, comfortable boot that you can use both in garrison and on rucks. If your main priority is durability, I would avoid these.

By far the most comfortable and well fitting boots I've worn; unfortunately they started ungluing and unraveling at the midsole after 4 mo. Because of this the right boot has loosened up and is no longer structurally sound. These are my "office" boots, so I can't imagine how they would hold up in a field environment.

The boots are very comfortable, but I am concerned that the soles may not hold up. After a few hikes, I noticed the soles around the heels are already breaking down (multiple cracks and cuts). I put a couple of thin layers of "shoe goo" on heels to slow down the wear. If the soles were Vibram, I would definitely give it 5 stars. The boots are not true to size, I normally wear a size 9, but ordered a size 8.5.

Great boots. Light weight. Grips the ground really well in all conditions. Inner souls wore down really quick and the side mess ripped to easy.

Bought these because I'm in the army and they are super comfortable and look great. However, they ripped on the side after just 1 and 1/2 months of wearing.

This review is for all the grunts and warfighters out there. I will start by saying this is a VERY durable boot. I used these to complete the TACP special warfare apprentice course, and they held up very well. I used the same pair through all six months of training, and they performed extremely well. My ONLY complaint about them, is that the actual toe box is extremely narrow, even on the wide variant. My big toe felt like it was being jammed into the end of the boot during ruck marches. Going up a half size didn't help either unfortunately. If Merrell made the end of the toe box larger and higher (if that makes sense) on the wides, this would be the best boot on the market, hands down. PLEASE MERRELL READ THIS review and address it! I would love to be contacted if the dev team wants to reach out!

These boots are comfortable but they do wear out easily. I've owned a pair for less than ten months. The tread on the bottom is completely gone. Parts are coming unglued and stitching is coming out. Boots aren't easy to keep clean. They absorb rather than repel. I would recommend on the comfort only. Good for the office or change of command.

I really wanted to like these but to compare my wide Timberland and wide Belleville boots are more narrow than these. I have multiple
Merrell brand shoes and had always had to break them in due to my flat feet so when I saw these boots with a wide option, I was grateful. I've noticed that walking/standing is very comfortable but they are just too wide or big. I have even done some push ups to see how my feet would feel and it's unfortunate to say that these in my opinion are too wide, allowing for too much movement in the forefoot area of the boot. If I would have ordered a half size smaller I think it would have been a perfect fit.

I must say this boot is super comfortable. I gave up my Nike boots for it & that was a good decision. I'd give it 5 stars but my biggest concern is that the boot changed color within 6 months. It went from coyote to desert tan thereby making it not AR 670-1 compliant. My Nike boots that I had for over 3 years has the same color, that's my big let down with my MQC.

I should've left a review earlier, but I've had these boots for 1 year. Within less than a month of just wearing them around Garrison just walking, the inside cloth of both boots ripped. I've never had boots rip so easily. I did nothing other than normal walking around in them during work. The boots are comfortable, but have the most terrible durability. I can only imagine how much worse it would be if you used these to ruck, or wore them in the field. I definitely do not recommend these boots based off of durability for anyone.

I bought these boots recently and wore them two weeks in the field. The breathable mesh and is tearing away from the boot. The bottom sole is starting to come undone from the glue. The boots are very comfortable but cannot withstand field work. More of a 42A boot.

Super comfortable however the quality is exceptionally poor. Been wearing them on and off for approximately 3 months and both boots have begun to fray along the midfoot stitching below the leather where the laces meet. Very disappointed with the build as they're super comfortable and good looking.

I bought a pair of work boots and within a few months all the seams started to come undone. I don't really do construction but service work and the boots did not hold up wouldn't recommend for the money.

Overall great boot for long rucking. No blistering. The only issue my pair have is the mesh material near the laces on both sides of my foot began to fray and come apart the first time I rucked only a few miles. Have had to burn the fraying to keep it from continuing. Love the boots other than that.Hope this issue can get figured out by the company. Will probably not but these again because of this. Maybe I got a bad batch.

Within 30 days of receipt, the nylon began separating from the leather. Seems like the stitching couldn't prevent it. This is the second pair that has done this, will not recommend or purchase another pair.

Well, currently on deployment. Got liberty to a NATO friendly country and found a tactical store. Unfortunately they were sold out of my go to's. I decided to take a shot with the Merrell MQC 2's. They fit great, felt great. Three days later I was back in country and after a 3 days and nights of patrolling a border in the wet and green Eastern Europe Forests I let the boots dry out before my next 4 shift cycle. Once they were dry they we DISCOLORED and some of the seams are frayed. 4 days! Brand new boots. So, I'll wear these to the ground and will stick to superior AR 670-1 compliant combat boot brands.

This is the best boots I ever had. Very comfortable, light and works well for flat feet. However, after 2 weeks of wearing, the left heel compartment became loose and the feet lifts off when walk. I resolved this issue by wearing a much thicker socks. Not sure when the right f=heel compartment become loose:):):) I didn't want to return it because it was so comfortable. I hope that the shoe will last at least a few years.

I use it for every other day with other boots. The boots it aelft is comfortable, but the issue i have is that the stitches are not really strong, as you can see on the pictures. I bought this pair 4 months ago.

The MQC 2 is about exactly what I was looking for in a boot. Especially lightweight and easy to pull on. They seem well made but unfortunately I cannot comment on durability. I've tried everything at this point. Im a 10.5 in Lowa, Salomon, Oakley, Danner, Nike, Reebok, Adidas, all of them. These are huge. They feel longer than a size 11 Lowa. I can't wear them and I cannot return them because the website says they're not eligible for return. If you buy them here either size down a half size or be prepared to waste your time and money. Sorry it didn't work out.

The boots are falling apart on the side that connects to the laces which is unfortunate I love these boots but they are falling apart and haven't been worn that much.

Very light weight but the canvas in the side ripped apart from the leather after 10 days. Very high arch support, took a while to break in. Not the usual quality I get from Merrell. Contacted them and they refunded my money.

I bought these because I have loved all my other Merrel shoes. Unfortunately the arch in this boot is really weird. It feel as if it goes from the inside all the way to the out side of my foot. This makes the boot highly uncomfortable. I don't know if it was a manufacturer error for my particular pair or if it is just how the boot fits as I was unable to find somewhere to try them on before I purchased them. If the insole was diffident I would say these would be a great boot, but due to the arch they are unbearable to wear for more then a few minutes.
