I'm a size 8.5, and I have wide feet. I ordered the 8.5. When I first tried on these shoes, they felt so comfortable. I liked that the wedge wasn't too tall. However, after wearing it a few more times, it became very uncomfortable. The toe area is too tight and pinches my feet, while the heel area is too loose. It slips while I'm walking and rubs against my ankle bones. I don't think ordering a size up would help since the heel is already loose. I really wish I could return these shoes, but after wearing them a few times, the soles already look dirty. For reference, I also own the Madison slip-on sneakers in 8.5, and they fit like a glove. These shoes are just not fitted for wide feet.

I like the look of the shoes but found them terribly uncomfortable. My toes were hitting the top of the shoes and were very sore after a half hour of walking. By the time I got home, after a few hours of errands, My feet were throbbing. If I take the implants out (that came in the shoes) to make more room for my toes, my feet slip right out of the shoes. It seems to be a problem with the design. Unfortunately, they are now worn so I can't return them. I definitely can't wear them so I'll drop them off at the Goodwill. Perhaps someone else will be able to get some use out of them. They are also hot--not at all breathable.

I own over two dozen pairs of Dr. Scholl's shoes and until this pair, they've consistently been cute, comfortable, and well worth the price. I have boots, flats, sneakers, sandals and wedges, all in consistent sizes -- these shoes, however, were so incredibly narrow that I couldn't stand to have them on for a full hour. I don't have wide feet, nor do I mind snug shoes but these were so narrow that they were actually painful.
