I have a little wider foot than average, but it has never affected me when I buy athletic shoes. The younger is attached and therefore the shoe wont open up as much as other shoes might. This means no give in the width. The liner is paper thin and I took it out and put in a new balance liner with arch support and then it was definitely a no go. I also have a high instep and this shoe was killing the top of my foot. It was obvious that it wasn’t going to work so I didn’t even get a work out in. It’s too bad that they are so narrow because these are awesome looking shoes and I really wanted them to work. I usually go with the Brooks, but they’ve really been making some ugly colors and ladies, we all know that awesome looking shoes inspire us to workout.

I like these shoes but the new version was about a ½ size too small. I ordered up a ½ size and I think the length was perfect. My problem is I need a wider toe box and these seemed fine for my long runs but I have run 2 marathons in these and have gotten huge blisters on the sides of both of my big toes from both races. I do feel they are responsive.

I wear 7.5-8 in dress shoes, 8.5 in Mizuno running shoes for the past 10 years until this pair. Received them and wore them for a few runs (about 5 on the road and 10 on the treadmill), so couldn't return them! Had to buy a half size bigger. I will buy from my local running store like I usually do. They let me run around the block and let me return even if I've put a few miles on them. Won't buy from the Mizuno website again.

I bought these to replace the previous Waveknit version and ordered in two sizes. The smaller size felt way too short and restricting, so I kept the larger one--but after running in these for a month, they feel sloppy and too roomy. They seem to have stretched out more than I am used to running shoes stretching, but I do still love the Waveknit material. Sharing this in case you're on the edge as far as sizes go. I usually size up in Mizuno and have even ordered some models in wides, but this one seems to run a bit long and wide for the brand.

Unfortunately, these were about a half a size too small, so I had to send them back. They’re a beautiful shoe, and seemed like they would be very comfortable and cushiony if I had the correct size. They even seemed narrow, despite ordering the wide. I ended up ordering a different pair/brand altogether. If my new pair doesn’t work, I will default back to these and just order a half of a size up.

I’m on the fence with this shoe. I usually wear Brooks Ghost, but I’m always looking for better. I decided to try Mizuno based on a friend’s recommendation. I purchased 9.5 W (same size as Brooks Ghost). These are much smaller and tighter even in the wide. The foot cushion is great, but not much cushion in the tongue. I haven’t decided yet whether to exchange for a 10.5 or just return them. I’ve never worn a 10.5 W so I’m concerned Mizuno design just won’t work for my foot.

I usually wear a size 7 Mizuno Wave Rider. I found the Waveknit runs smaller so I ordered an 8 and it fit well. I decided to order another pair of the exact same shoe in the same size, but this 8 feels very tight. My toes curl a little. So returning them.

I have a pair of Waverider 19 in 7.5 that I love. These shoes in a 7.5 are not nearly as comfortable. They feel too tight around the ankle/heel and at the toe. It’s like the whole toe box is too narrow. They are comfortable enough for a 12 hour nursing shift as far as support goes but my toes feel squished.

These were very small, and tight over the top of the toes and the arch. I returned them.

Main problem was durability; a hole developed over the toe box much faster than in previous mizuno’s despite similar mileage.

I am a true 8.5, order running shoes 1/2 size larger and these were still too small. Just walking in the house my big toe was getting squished

I used to love the wave riders and each year I order a new pair. The toes wear through now and I have to put duck tape on the inside. This year the shoe is way smaller so order up - possibly a whole size. I guess I am going to have to find a new shoe for running.

This new design is a full size smaller, not a half size as it used to be. The stitching in the new tongue design is really obvious and rubs right along the arch of your foot.

What did Mizuno do to this shoe? I've been wearing Wave Riders for years--I get a new pair every year--and I always buy an 8 1/2 and they typically fit perfectly. I tried an 8 1/2 and then a 9 and now I'm trying a 9 1/2. My feet haven't changed size. The design of this shoe has changed drastically. It's just too small and too tight and not at all true to size. Weird. But it does look great and, since I've had great luck with Mizunos in the past, I'm going to keep trying.

I have this style of shoes from previous years. This new style, the tongue is attached to the sides of the shoe. This makes the shoe tighter. I’m hoping they will stretch out.

I love my previous Wave Riders. This is my 2nd pair of the Knit version. No issues with last pairs. Since I started running in this new pair I’ve now developed plantar fasciitis on the left heel.

ive owned four wave rider shoes in an 8.5. This one fit significantly more snug since it mesh. I preferred the regular one.

I’ve had the wave rider 23 and they fit perfect, the 24s fit way smaller. Cute shoe, fit not ideal for a running shoe.

Ended up turning them after trying them on twice. They’re super tight and have a strange tongue. I’ve had 4 pairs of Wave Riders before this that didn’t have any of these problems.

My left foot is slightly larger than my right, so often I need shoes that are reinforced at the toe and these are not. Based on other reviews I ordered a half size up, which was fine but when I tried them on and walked around, I could feel my left toes trying to escape. This was uncomfortable and I was worried that I would eventually wear that part of the shoe away. These also felt cheap and plastic. I ordered the Horizon and it was a much better fit/quality.
