This backpack is great for all your outdoor adventures to all your school needs. Carries a significant amount and still feels lightweight. Very sturdy as well! Loved my purchase! This is the second one I own and lasts for years!

My daughter wanted this backpack and i held off b/c it's smaller then other jester we own. Definitely doesn't fit tons of notebooks and computer and lunch a typical middle schooler carrier.

The moment I touched my eyes on it, I know it would be a great backpack. After using for a few weeks, I really love the support that my new backpack give to my back. It constantly keeps me in good form, which is amazing! I also like how my backpack can be adjusted to provide more room for different events or occasions. Currently I am using it for school, and it is passing all my expectations. If Jester backpack is to be improved for the future, I would say that it should have more smartly-designed pockets for storage. Let's utilize available spaces (surfaces and nooks) and make them accessible for use. Striking between the minimalism and convenience is a hard task, but I know that designers of Jester backpack can add some more features to give it more versatility. Little details go a long way!

I've purchased two of these bags. One for high school daughter and one for college son. They are roomy and very sturdy. Would definitely purchase again.

The The North Face Jester Backpack is a nice daypack that will work for both the dayhiker and college student. The 26L bag includes a spacious main compartment along with several spacious interior pockets to fit smaller items. Love love the space for notebooks, textbooks, and a laptop although there are no pockets specifically for a laptop.

I use this backpack for college and it's great! Really lightweight and comfortable even when I carry a lot of my school stuff in it!

I've been using my previous Jansport backpack for about 4 years and was looking for a good replacement. I can honestly say the Jester backpack was the best choice of a replacement. I can fit my laptop, textbooks and hydro flask without it feeling uncomfortable and heavy.

This is going to be long so for summery: don't get this bag for school. I also attached a video explaining my issues if that works better for you. After many days of shopping for a backpack that would last me 4-5 years, I came across this one. I was really excited when I received it, thinking I had found the best bag out there. Unfortunately, I immediately encountered a major flaw. The backpack is too skinny! It is designed to perfectly and snugly fit a 13-inch computer (max size nothing bigger is getting in there) but as someone who really cares to preserve my things, I have a computer sleeve case. Because of this sleeve, the computer is very difficult to take in or out. Now, this may not be a problem for a lot of people, but if you don't own an ultra-thin laptop that is smaller than 13 inches, this backpack will not work to hold your laptop. This is not the only problem created by the skinniness of the bag. If you have regular-sized binders, the width (so the thickness won't affect this. It won't matter if it's half an inch or four inches) of them will stretch out the bag and make it hard to remove or put in your binders. If you pair your binders with any standard water bottle, you won't be able to put your bottle in the side hold that is SPECIFICALLY designed for holding your bottle. The bag is simply too skinny that the holders are taken up by the stretch of the fabric. Furthermore, the backpack is not very deep (as the space from the computer holder to the jester logo on the front is too short). I cannot fit a decent amount of notebooks combined with a binder or two. Not being able to use my computer sleeve, having slow access to my binders, and not being able to bring a water bottle with me makes this bag useless to me as a student. If you read all of that, I hope it helped, and please do not buy this as a student unless you don't like binders, water, or your expensive computer :)

I like how practical this backpack is especially with all the compartments that it has. It is also super comfortable to be carried everyday! I can't think any other brands can beat the practicality of this backpack along with its modern and stylish design.

It carries everything I need for school and is extremely durable. I like the color and the design.

I use it for school. My laptop is 15.6 inches so I can't put it in the laptop compartment, I just put it in the main one. The backpack always falls forward, I'm not sure if it's supposed to.

I have wanted this backpack for a while now and finally caved and got it ! I really like it so far, even though I've only had it for a couple weeks ! I use it to commute to school. I keep all of my books and my laptop in it !

Zappos is wonderful as always. Sadly, this North Face backpack is no where near the quality of the other 6 Jesters I have purchased over the past decade for our family. What is most notable is the cheap, flimsy zipper. Had I bought this off Amazon, I would think it was a fake. The zipper is something you would find on a seasonal Wal Mart cheapy. Quite disappointed! Come on North Face!

Everything's great my only con is that my computer is slightly to big for the pocket so it's tough getting it in and out
