LOVE LOVE LOVE them. Been looking for two years for the right pair of boots. They all look foreign on me. Not these! I wear an 8-8.5 shoe and have kinda wide feet. The 8.5 fit perfect. The waterproof suede is so soft and flexible, not stiff at all, but not saggy. I can tell they may stretch a little bit. So wearing thicker socks should be no problem. I adjusted the string in the back to wear over jeans, they fit perfect ??! If you are on the fence, do it! Buy them. You won’t be sorry!

Absolutely perfect! It has been 2.5 months since I have been able to wear a shoe, other than a sneaker. I broke metatarsal 1, and these boots are amazing! I wore them for 14 hours and they are still comfortable!

Gorgeous boot, not for wide calves. I loosened the ties in the back as far as they would go :(

The boots were beautiful and I wish they had worked out for me but I have a wider calfs (which is why I thought the lace ups might work) but while I was able to lace them, I almost ran out of string and the top of the laces where my calf is widest and the laces up the back looked much wider there then everywhere else and I didnt like the look. The front looked great. I was bummed to return them.

After reading the reviews I went with 1/2 size up and I have room for a thick sock. I have fairly skinny calves (13") and this was my 4th boot that I ordered trying to get a leather boot that didn't fit like fishing waders. The calf fit is very good for thin legs and has the laces you can let out for larger sizes. They are kind of a pain to put on as there is a tongue going the full height of the laces. My biggest disappointment with these boots is the leather! The color was good. I had ordered a ralph lauren pair that the leather was beautiful but the calf huge. The quality of these not so good. There was a minor scratch on the right boot which had been tried on by someone as the laces were loosened. I wore them once to work and crossed by ankles gently and some of the finish came off one boot. For the cost of these over $200 it is cheap leather finish. But with skinny calves you don't get many choices.

I love these boots for comfort and great style, they're perfect and flattering and simple for cold weather. They are not however the sole you'll need for snowy weather, they def dont hold up in the ice test, lol, its ok I didnt fall, just slid with grace! haha. No but seriously you'll need a mega grip sole boot in addition to these for your winter footwear. I was hoping these were that, nope, but for all sunny winter days, yes! :)

I gave it 3 stars for overall and 4 for comfort and 5 for style. The boot is described as having a 15 inch shaft. These are taller than 15 inches in height. I am 5'3" tall and my legs are pretty short and 15 inch hits my leg perfectly without hitting my knee. They felt very comfortable on my feet as I walked around the house but it hit my knees so that part was no good. I wear a size 8 in boots and the size is perfect. I don't wear heavy socks with boots.The Style is gorgeous. The circumference is perfect. It is not wide for thin calves. The laces in the back and the suede are a nice touch. I was very excited when I opened the box. Sadly I returned them. If you have longer legs and a thin calves this is the boot for you. Perfect for causal dresses and leggings. I don't tuck Jeans in but I am sure it would look great.

When I received this item, the boots were used and worn. The suede was worn off the heels and toes, and the soles were scuffed and worn. LOVED the boots, but Zappos attempted to send me a used, worn pair at new pair price.....careful.

Oh, baby, these boots feel good, look great, and are easy to adjust to your individual calf. I received compliments right away! But more importantly, they support my arch and felt great out of the box.

Ok, folks -- this is the boot to get. Have a narrow calf? It fits. Have a wide calf? It will still fit!!! The back has corset lacing so you can adjust the width!!!!! GENIUS DESIGN. And super comfortable. AND leather all the way around? SOLD!!!

The fit and size was perfect! This never happens for me with a boot as I have narrow feet AND slim calves. Without tightening the laces, the shaft circumference was perfect. They do not have much more to cinch though, so I am a big concerned about them stretching out over time. With the laces they are not very dressy, but a really stylish casual boot.

I have thin legs & narrow feet but need a wider toe box for my bunions plus am only 5' 1" & have to boot shaft - very difficult to find footwear (esp. boots) that work for me. These SOFFT "Sharnell II" boots work for all my needs as well as being stylish. True to size & adjustable so I can wear with skirts, leggings or loosen the back lacing to accommodate for jeans if needed. Love that they are waterproof suede & the gray color works well with my wardrobe.

A great looking pair of boots that fit very strangely for me. The toe box was slightly tight on my narrow - medium feet. The heel was very floppy. The shaft was VERY small on my luscious, thick calves. I've been buying their shoes for years and love them but have never tried their boots. Back to the drawing board!

Super soft suede and unique. Also I have small calves and love that they hug my legs.

I looked at these boots for 3 months before I finally pulled the trigger. I am glad I did, but it wasn’t without a bit of difficulty. First of all Zappos shipping is usually super fast, but it took over a month to get to me. That was no biggie, but when they came both of the boxes were completely destroyed. I almost panicked until I got the boots out of the ruins. Miraculously they were unscathed. The second frustration was the fit of the boot. I specifically looked for boots that had a wider shaft because I have ‘athletic’ calves. Well at first I couldn’t get them zipped up. But I noticed that they were laced really tightly, so I unlaced them all the way down to the bottom, zipped the zipper, and re-laced them up. Disco! They fit! I was sooo happy. I wore them that very day with leggings. I don’t have enough lace left to make a bow in the back, but I tied the little leftover into a knot and it still looked really cute. I walked several blocks around the city and they were warm and comfy. After a bit of a challenge I made them work. I hate it they weren’t completely perfect and I also hate it I can’t store them in their box to protect my investment but if you are on the fence the adjustable lacing in the back is totally do-able. Just have to have a little patience. I wouldn’t recommend calves over 17 inches (what my calves measured) because you would probably have to get longer laces. The laces measure 72 inches total. They may make longer ones that I may look into so I can tie a bow. The footbed is padded and comfortable. There is plenty of room in the toe box. Overall I was very pleased with them once I got them zipped :).

I normally wear an 8.5 narrow, so I took a chance when I bought an 8.5 medium. Love, love these boots! They are made narrow at the heel and the instep, so if you wear a Medium, I would go with a wide. The design is genius! I have average calves, and had to let the lacing out a little at the top to allow the boot to zip. I was able to tighten the lacing at the ankle so it wouldn’t slide up and down on my foot when I walked. I winced when I saw the price, but it was worth it. ?

Sexy yet comfortable. A rare combination. Love em.

I'm keeping these boots because they're very nice looking and comfortable *enough*. They are on the narrow in the toe box. I have bunions and some shoes are fine in the regular width and some aren't. These didn't have a wide option, sadly.

These are the most comfortable and beautiful boots I’ve ever owned.

I have calf muscles, so most tall boots I can’t zip up over my calves. But wide calf boots look like swashbuckling style. These are GREAT because of the lace up the back - you can have in between calf size of boot!

Stylish and great for summer . Looks great with sundress's Or pair of leggings. Can wear these boots all day.

I loved the detail in the back and that they were waterproof. But I couldn’t zip them up and didn’t want to bother adjusting the back lacing so that they would. I knew it wouldn’t look as good (perfect) as it did right now. So I had to return them. My calves are regular (not thin, not too athletic).

I love these boots! I should preface this review by first saying that my feet are somewhat narrow, as are my calves and these boots fit perfectly. I typically wear an 8.5, but I ordered these in an 8 as I find most boots tend to run a bit bigger than shoes or sandals. The 8 fits wonderfully and the leather is very soft. The color is a nice neutral grey. The nice thing about the adjustable laces in the back is that you can loosen these if you like to fit over skinny jeans or leggings, but you can also lace them up tighter so that they are snugger around your calves and wear them with skirts. I am a runner and have somewhat lengthy & athletic calves and have always had issues with boots that were too wide, but these are perfect. Well worth the money.

Just what I've been looking for: low heel, elegant, slim calf (so hard to find!), and waterproof. I do wish they werent so tall: I personally find a 3/4 length more flattering than the "going fishing" height but since I've been looking for comfy, nice looking boots for so long I shall keep them! Seriously: they are comfortable out of the box even without socks!

These are beautiful boots. They are so soft. No need to break these in. First day I wore them 10 hours standing. They were perfect and I received a ton of compliments.
