Wow! I moved away from NB due to toe box fit was never good for me . Decided to return after seeing some reviews. Well..... within a few minutes a return was already started by me . I’ve never had a 4E feel like a size larger in heel . Kept sliding with few steps taken . The material surrounding laces feels tight on feet, especially closest to the toes. I’ve been wearing Brooks for several years. Decided to buy some Sletchers for yard work . Came up with idea of buying these lower priced NBs for comparison. Well...... the Sketcjers are a much better fit oddly.

I actually sent them back. The width was marked Triple Wide but fit real tight across like it was really a normal width. Very disappointing because I really liked the look.

This was my second pair of New Balance 510s. Overall, the quality of these new shoes is very different and disappointing. My original pair was purchased in 2019 and were comfortable, supportive, and long-lasting. The new pair has been different in significant ways; much less foot support and cushioning in this new NB 510. Although the fit is similar, the quality level of the materials appears much different and feels uncomfortable for walking any substantial distance.

The heel of the shoe is very low, felt like my foot wasn't fully seated compared to the fit of all my other shoes. I suppose this is a type of fit if you wear short ankle socks but not what I was looking for with an "all terrain" shoe to wear walking on trails. The fit of the rest of the shoe felt fine and true to width. Style is ok although not a fan of the all black but they'd just get dirty/muddy as my trail shoes and it was the color in stock in my size. Unfortunately, the heel fit made these a no go for me so I'm returning.

Be specific about your likes and dislikes. How was the fit and size? What does the material feel like? How awesome (or not) do you feel wearing them?

The shoe felt a little too large for the size and gives me horrible blisters.

I have wide flat feet and neuropathy. I usually wear a 9 4E, but at that size these felt both too short and too narrow. I could go up half a size, but they don't come any wider. I usually wear 990s and have no issues with those. Merrells are hit and miss in the wide sizes, but happy with their Nova 2 GTX. Back to the 990s.

They sent the wrong size, its not even close to what is on the order, I have to send them back

I love Zappos and New Balance. These shoes, however, really hurt my feet. Both of them. It was if there was something in the sole at the ball of my foot on both shoes. After about 5 minutes trying them out in the house, I had to take them off, they hurt so much. I was so disappointed. I wear quite a few New Balance, and these were intended to replace an older pair. My others are 608's and 574's, so maybe just these style is not for me. Love the looks of them, just did not fit well.

Comfortable and they fit well, but only lasted less than 5 months with "light use" before completely falling apart. Disappointed with the quality. Previous purchases of this brand has lasted anywhere from 1-3 years, so lasting less than 5 months is very disappointing.

Shoe was rather uncomfortable. I would call it non-interactive, felt rigid, below expected performance.

All my NB shoes are size 10. These NB 10’s were way small.

My husband says these shoes are very comfortable and very light weight. But after less than 3 weeks the wrap around the toe is peeling off. I’m ok with spending $76 on shoes that start to fall apart after 3 weeks

A total waste of money, what ever you do DON NOT buy these, mine lasted a few months before the separated from the souls

Comparing this shoe to another of the same size , width and manufacturer this shoe runs small or was marked incorrectly.

The size and fit are fine, but the back of the shoe tore out after a few weeks. I am finding the quality of New Ballance to get worse and worse. They just don't hold up. The back of a show should not wear after less than two months of wear.

Have had the shoes less than a year and they are already falling apart. Not impressed.

Worst pair of New Balance ever. I have been a loyal New Balance customer for 40 years. This has to be the worst pair I've ever bought. They are just uncomfortable. My feet get hot, sweaty and tired after just a few minutes of wearing them; after wearing them all day all I can think about is taking them off.

The quality in this pair of shoes it’s not a New Balance normal quality. The leather shred.

Did not provide much support, and caused arch pain. The material is very stiff and the heel wore out very quickly causing a lot of abrasion on the heel and ending up with blisters anytime walking in them for more than 15-20 minutes. I'm a big New Balance fan, but these missed the mark.

I've been wearing New Balance shoes, 10.5 4E, for years. This was the first pair that had didn't grip my heel properly at all. I wore them a few times, then donated them with the original box. Hopefully they'll find a better home! I should have returned them, but I thought I'd get use to them.

Only reason a 1 star can not add a negative sign. Saw that that run small, I added 1/2 size to my normal size. I did wear them around the house (carpeted) for a couple of days and they seemed to be comfortable. Wearing them to work for a few hours the no arch support started bothering me. The next time I took out the supplied insert and put a Dr. Scholes insert to see if that would help. It didn't help am now trying a different insert, but it does not seem to help. At time they are comfortable but then all of a sudden my toes would cramp up. Maybe another 1/2 to full size would make a difference.

A hole developed in the toe not even two months of wear.
