Fit was good but shoes returned due to manufacturing flaw at the toe. Plan to rebuy the same shoes hoping for a well-built pair this time.

Toe box was too tight for my 4E required width. Shoe was great otherwise and had to send it back for that reason. Orthotic I soles would go in fine which is another reason I chose this design.

I have other NB shoes and these fit very small. Will need to reorder larger size.

Length was pretty good, width was too narrow. I need a deeper toe box. Why are heels so high for a hiking shoe?

The length felt good and the width in the forefoot was good but the heel pocket was so big my heel was swimming. There also was zero arch support or any kind of visible arch at all.

The shoes look great visually and fit perfectly. However, I find the inside back of the shoes irritates my heals if I walk or run with them for exercise. I mainly bought them as "all purpose" tennis shoes. I would not recommend them for exercise.

Order half size up. Seemed cheaply made

The heel on these suckers is like 4". Which is great for people who need the extra bit, however, I'm 6'7" and only just clear the doorways in normal shoes, but these are guaranteed to put dents in my head on the regular.

I ordered this shoe in size 11. Returned cause they had to much room in the toe and replaced with a 10.5. That feels to tight. No in between for this model

It was loose in the heel. The sole felt cushioned and comfortable. The style is ok, but New Balance as usual needs to make more inspiring styles to compete with more youthful looking brands.

Due to the shoe's rigid material, there is a squeaking sound when the toe area flexes while walking. I've only worn them a dozen times or so, but I really hope they break in soon.

I bought these in September and by November the inner lining by the heel was worn out. The right shoe now creates a hot spot by my achilles. Too bad because overall it was a very comfortable fit before the inside of the shoe started wearing out. Other New Balance products I have owned were much more durable. I cannot recommend this shoe to other customers.

The fit of these shoe were very good for me, with a wide foot and flat arch, I had to install insole for my arch, but I like the design style and comfort, the soles were perfect for me , I work in a IT office storage room , I am on my feet all day, I return these shoes , because of my one major complaint. The upper material lack good support and after less then two month of using the shoes in the office , I could tell I had zero lateral support. I am very disappointed , because I really like them . I think New Balance should work on a stronger design for the top.

New balance seems to get smaller and smaller. I used to be 11 1/2 4e now a 13 4e feels small. Note - my feet, same size... Props to Zappos. Good fast service. Zappos gets 5 stars.

too wide in to bos and felt half size larger

We've bought this shoe before with no problem, but our recent purchase has been on my kids' feet for less than 2 weeks, and it's already falling apart--Loose stitching all over the place, and the edges are already super worn-looking. Fortunately, he's in big growth spurts, so we'll have to replace them in a few weeks anyway, but we'll choose a different style next time.

String started to come undone in a month of wearing

I had 2 problems with these shoes. 1) On the first day wearing them the bottom padding was so firm that it made the bottom of my foot get pins and needles. After a few days of wearing, this went away. 2) More problematic was the material that the interior is made of. My heel rubbed at it and eventually wore it aware. This created a friction point, and caused a huge blister when running. I'm not a marathon runner - heck I can just do a 5k, so this wasn't over use. The good news is I called Zappos, 3 months after I ordered an they processed a refund. From dial to disconnect it took 7 mins. Thanks Zappos!

Very poor arch support and painful to wear. This pair of New Balance shoes were not the comfortable running shoes of yesteryear and will be the very last pair of NB shoes that I’ll every buy. Very disappointed in the purchase and will be returned.

Very uncomfortable with very poor arch support. A far cry from the high quality New Balance running shoes of yesteryear. Will not again buy New Balance again after this experience.

The shoe material lasted 2 months the mesh tore away from the material

A few years ago, I purchased the New Balance 510v4, size 9.5 4E. Fits beautifully. Now, it's 2021 and I purchase the New Balance 510v5, size 9.5 4E. I thought it would fit beautifully, but I was wrong. The new shoe seems to have the same length, but it is tight around my foot. It does not feel like a 4E. I have attached a photo that shows the old shoe (black & yellow) on my left foot and the new shoe (all black) on my right foot. The photo does a great job of showing how the all-black 510v5 (the new shoe) is much smaller than the older 510v4. These are technically the same size (9.5 4E), but it looks like New Balance has been shaving material to save money. Unfortunately, this also means that the shoe is too tight on my foot. It actually hurt to keep it on my foot. I had to remove it to let my foot breathe. What a shame!

Love the style. I ordered size 7 4E and they were way too tight. I had to return them.

The seams near the toe on both shoes began tearing apart almost immediately. Huge disappointment, went to Memorial Day barbecues looking like a bum.
