I've always been a big fan of the sense rides and still love those shoes but find myself grabbing these sense pros more often than any other shoe right now. The fit is amazing. Light and great ground feel, with excellent grip on loose or wet terrain. Definitely a new favorite.

had the sense pro 3's in size 9. after reading reviews, went 1/2 size down and glad I did. A better fit for me. Feels comfortable, excited to try these out.

Love these shoes for running trails in the area with smaller stones. They are light and fast and are good if your run includes varying terrain from street, to gravel roads, to trails with non-technical terrain. They grip well in all conditions on rocks and roots. Mud does not clump, even in the wettest conditions, so the tread is free to grip the trail.

During this COVID stay home lock down in Northern Ontario there is not a lot one can do. I'm an 50 year old male with average athletic skills and balance. Love these shoes on the trails. Oh, I get them dirty too! The support is good, the tread is amazing on everything! If Spider-Man would have hikers I think these would be his go to pair since they stick well to the trails.

I'm also on my 4rth pair of SLab speed shoe ! Absoloutly incredible I'm in the hills n fells for 4 to 8 hours most weekends , there's no beating them , unbeleible grip in muck , bog , rocks , mountain terrain , like wearing slippers

I honestly feel that this is one of the best trail running shoes Salomon has made for those wanted to go just a little bit faster. The new midsole material seems plusher than previous years with just a tab bit more room up front without compromising the more performance fit. Overall, the Sense 4 Pro maintains a very nimble feel with the 4mm drop with just a bit more comfort underfoot. Very Pleased.

In a few words, this is the best overall trail shoe you will ever own. It's extremely responsive and sensitive to the terrain (you could run blindfolded and clearly feel what type of surface you're stepping on). My everyday trails, here in southern California, are very loose (gravel/sand) and these shoes give you all the traction needed for a fast pace or technical downhill. And, in the rare occasions of rain, the lugs are enough to grip on rocks and shed mud easily. Great snug fit and fantastic update in the toe box for more protection and grip. I guess the only "complaint", in my opinion, is the new lace pocket, which is not as efficient as the older version's pocket when trying to adjust the lace during the run. Apart from that, all other updates made the Sense Pro 4 a better machine! I have been running in Salomon shoes for a long time now and have tried several models on different trails surfaces and distances. I have retired all of them and these are the only ones I trust for traing or racing. Long live the trail King!

I bought these to replace my long run of ultra-pro's (which were my previous favorite shoe). These things are brilliant; a really good mix of comfort and durability, they are comfy over long distances and the lower drop keeps my calves and Achilles happy; put 300 miles on my firts pair and got a second on the way shortly. (p.s the Red was the better colour why did they have to stop that one?)

I only recently got into trail running so this was my first pair of proper trail shoes. It took a couple of months to get used to them..or probably I had to get used to the trails (a different type of hurting after long runs than my usual road running) but these shoes were a lot of fun from day 1. Fitting like a glove (at least in my case...I did not change size from my usual other brands road running UK 7 size shoes), they give you excellent versatility and responsiveness. Upper is very breathable which makes it quite easy to get your feet back to a decent dryness as you run into paddles and mud.

I ran with these in a 50k race in thick mud trails and really knarly trail. What you will find is as the kilometres increase you will notice the optivibe. It just stops vibration and gives your legs a break. The grip is good and the coating sheds the mud and makes them easy to wash afterwards. Imagine an S lab shoe but with a bit more comfort and this is the sense pro 4 . Wear them in a bit and they will be you go to shoe every time you hit the trail.

Done around 150 miles in the Sense Pro 4 so far and loving em. Lightweight and responsive with adequate cushion for the lengthier excursions. Perform pretty well even in the sloppy mud that is typical of London parks in winter however not as grippy as the Speedcross Pro's or Slab speeds. Great durability, showing little sign of wear so far and can handle a few kms of road leading to the trails with ease. Brilliant Salomon.

Really happy with these! Super comfy, lightweight, cool colour. Great customer service. Finding them quite hard to clean so any recommendations would be great (for the white part of the shoe, don't want to damage them with chemicals).

My favorite running shoe I've used to date. Light and nimble makes them fun for trail speed sessions, and easy daily mileage. The cushion is also fantastic, I've used these for distances up to 64km and for a 15hr day Everest-ing on the Grouse Grind and they've kept my feet comfortable and happy! Perhaps a little overkill for buff flatter trails these really shine on technical and mountainous terrain. The grip is fantastic on slick trails and on rock whether wet or dry. I do not hesitate to run up and scramble 4th/low 5th class terrain in these. I'm blown away by the durability, my first pair are almost at 740km and the cushioning and comfort are still amazing. Small holes have developed on the upper around the pinky toes and the tread is wearing down, but they'll likely still make it to 800-850km before I need to actually retire them. This is very impressive to me because the trails and terrain I tend to run here around Vancouver to Whistler area are very technical and tough on most running shoes (most trail runners rarely make it past 500km for me). If the laces tucked under instead of from above they'd be as close to perfect as a shoe gets!

These are a great hardworking go to technical trainer. I've found that they are best for days that are less than 30km as they lean towards being more minimal, with light materials and a 4mm drop. I go to them when I'm moving fast with lots of varied terrain.

je l'ai depuis 1 mois et ce n'est que du bonheur. la chaussure est parfaite pour les coureurs qui attaquent en mdiocre pied. elle incite la relance et permet de bien drouler sa foule. C'est ma meilleure chaussure ce jour. Bravo

Ho comprato questo articolo un paio di mesi fa e l'ho testato subito in una location magnifica (forcella Pordoi < 3)! Ad oggi vi devo dire che per me la scarpa migliore in assoluto, ho avuto anche moltissime slab e questa scarpa non ha nulla da invidiargli! Grip ottimo, la stabilit darei pure un 4/5 anzich 3 come messo da Salomon. Io che ho le caviglie che tendono a fare eversione in discesa, con questo modello ZERO problemi. Perfetta per un piede a pianta molto stretta (per me il top)

I definitely prefer theses shoes over the other brands due to: -snug fit that decreases friction/ heat and blisters on the sides of my feet - great cushion and the responsiveness of the shoe makes for great trail and road shoe -traction is great for the wet trail days, especially up hill.

I've had these for a few months now and I've not been disappointed with them. They're light, responsive, and allow me a good feel for the terrain I'm going over while still providing all the protection I need. I'm always excited to grab these for a run. If I have any complaint it's that I prefer the older quicklace system with the stow pouch on the tongue as opposed to the eyelet version on this model, but at the end of the day that's only a minor thing.
