So disappointed. Been Buying Salomon's Pro 3D for years. Could buy in bulk w/eyes closed they have never let me down. Quality is NOT THE SAME. I just purchased 3 pairs off of Zappos and 2 pairs off of Salomon's website to get other colors. I hike every day for over 6miles. I live in CA where we have triple digits going on now..rough terrain, lots of very hot grainy sand, rocks, cactus, etc. I have literally worn my old Salomon's down to where the insoles are a sweaty icky mess so was looking forward to buy fresh new - which I love these right out of box they are so cushy and airy they make me WANT to hike for hours longer. Yet these were nothing like my experience in past. I read on your site that they have compromised the cushion to make lighter but they were light enough for me with the cushion so that was my first red flag - aka - means they are cheaping out the shoes. These appear more plastic rubber right out of the box. Did my first hike and felt every rock, hot sand through my soles..my heals hurt, toes felt pressure and balls of feet were throbbing. My entire alignment was off..the cushion is not medium it is non existant. I found myself cutting my hike short (instead of looking frwrd to extending which is what I wanted this am). My legs were not getting protection from my feet as the entire pronunciation of my feet was like flat walking. I compared my older ones where the soles are wore out and definitely better quality and feel better to wear them - sending all these back. For years I have been a huge #1 fan but if they do not have any other trail running with cushion and have like so many others cheaped out and left us with nothing Im now stuck with just buying one of the others which now Im really stuck. Salomon has been the only one I trusted and loved - hate Nike, Reebock and all the others. But the comfort these gave me today I minuz well just buy something off the 5 and dime store.

This is my 4th pair (at least) of Solomon w the quik lace system. Good support and last a while for me. They start out stiff (which is how they probably should be) and then get closer to sneaker flexibility after lots of use. I use for walking, light hiking and general errand running. Solomon has changed the quik lace system, so now you have to tuck the lace shortener/holder into the flap (I have never had to do this before this pair) or the laces will flap around when you walk and hit your other foot. Love these shoes. Gave it 4 stars due the change in the lacing system, other than that I would buy again.

I love these shoes and have owned several pair over the years. Not sure what has changed with Salomon but their sizes now are very inconsistent.

I bought these a couple of months ago for winter runs in Anchorage. I put screws on the bottom to prevent any slipping and have not had a problem. I wear them almost daily on runs any wear from 2 to 10 miles and my feet stay dry and warm. I personally need a stability shoe because of knee problems, and this shoe has helped me to get past a knee injury. I have worn Solomons for the last 5 to 6 years and like all my other running shoes, purchased a size 9. They are roomy, but I like my running shoes to be slightly bigger. Definitely recommend if you're in the market for a stability trail running shoe!

After 42 years of running and subsequent need to retire from running to walking, it is still my overall favorite shoe. Also, for me, the Gortex version is the only way to go - not only water proof (and the sand, dust, etc. proof) but the Gortex adds structural integrity that the mesh version does not have.

These shoes are amazing. Super comfortable. Love not having to tie shoelaces. Wore these on a cross country road trip and made my feet happy.

I've had them 6 months now through the winter: very comfortable, easy and accurate lacing system, no wet feet walking daily through grass and forest, reliable grip on the trails.

I bought these a couple weeks back as I'm going travelling soon and thought they'd be a better alternative than trainers and a chunky pair of walking boots. They are incredibly comfy with great design and grip! Definitely recommend, couldn't be more pleased!!!

I am so pleased with my hiking shoes as the have amazing grip for the shale and slick rock terrain in my area. I have been through 5 pairs now and I am getting about 750 miles of trails per pair before I retire them to around the house shoes. I love the quality and the way the company supports sports and events that I actually compete in.

My shoe size is between a 5.5 and 6 so I went for a size 6 and it's a good fit. As a trail shoe they are comfortable and wash well. I'm pleased with this shoe.

I'm a very active person and live in my sneakers! I love Salomon shoes. I have worn Salomon's for 20 years and in all that time have only have one bad experience and Salomon replaced that pair immediately. I can't say enough about the great customer service I received in that incident. Salomon shoes live up to their reputation of quality, durability AND outstanding customer service.

My feet are not easy to fit, so when I found these, I stopped trying on any other athletic shoes. Some neutral colors would be nice, but when I find anything in my size, I buy it! I can wear them 16-18 hours straight and never have any discomfort, everyday! I go through one pair a year. I have trouble giving them away just because the tread is gone because they are stil so comfortable! I prefer the Goretex version for their waterproof and warmth.

I have always been pleased with Salomon brand shoes and they have fun colors. The special lacing system makes for a speedy getaway and I never have to retie my shoes. :)

I've been wearing Salomon running shoes since they first came out (original tri-colored ones) and religiously switch to a new pair every 3 months due to the mileage I put on them. I had great trepidation when the new V8 model we l came out, but it is superior in all ways! And the Gortex version is by far superior to the mesh - all year round - better stability and support. Absolutely love them!
