I'm a little confused and disappointed by the changes from the MT-2. The previous model was lightweight, flexible, and just enough cushion for short to marathon/50k distances. They made a great racer for faster-paced runs on not-super-technical terrain. This new model is significantly heavier and stiffer in the sole, and the cushioning that's there is quite firm. It seems they've lost all the best aspects of the MT-2, and turned this into a low-end, run-of-the-mill trail shoe, without the low-end price point! The classic Topo fit in the upper is still there, which is the only reason I didn't give it only 1 star.

I'm not sure what is wrong with these shoes but I have never gotten blisters from shoes. I got the size I normally do and it was horrible.

The plastic look and feel of this shoe make it seem cheap and not durable enough for hiking. I returned them.

I'm sending these back. Couldn't walk a half mile because the upper rubs against my lateral malleolus. I love my Topo Hydroventure and comparing them to the MT-3 one can see the upper is completely different around the back end of the show. I'm including a photo of my beloved Hydroventure (gray) and the painful MT-3 (blue and coral)

If you have high arches these shoes will not fit you. My foot was terribly pinched in this shoe. There is little to no give to the shoe.

I ordered a pair of these shoes expecting them to be an upgrade to the MT-2 that I own. Not so- they have changed the shoelace configuration that is not good, and the place inside the shoe where the tongue attaches to the top is now bulky and irritating. I had to send them back. Now I'm trying to buy other MT-2 shoes before they disappear!!!!!
