I wanted to live these shoes, the seemed like the perfect pair for my wide front foot and narrow heel, and they were great for the first month or so of wear. But, now, I can't even wear them for half a day with out getting terrible pains in my knees and feet. Thinking this pain was from something else, I continued wearing these shoes until I noticed the front part of my foot slides around ALOT as I'm walking (heels stay put). Theres just too much side to side movement and a "tall" footbed, the ball of my foot and toes are just out there with no support. I even tried adjusting the laces, no help. I went back to my old shoes, and the pain is gone. I'm a steady size 6 lengthwise, a perfect thumbs width from the end, but these are just too wide in the front, so sad :(

I typically wear a 7.5 which is what I initially ordered in this shoe. It was definitely too small and exchanged for an 8 in red. The 8 still seemed a hair short but has not caused any problems over 400mi. I like the secure fit through the mid foot which gives me more confidence in technical terrain and on the down hill. I just ordered another pair in size 8, this time in green just so I could keep track of which shoes had more miles on them. Fit is completely different, the shoe is longer and wider, higher volume. Double checked the labeling in both shoes to be sure they are the same model and size. Cosmetics/materials are the same. What's up with that? Super frustrated. This would be my "go to" shoe and would probably recommend the shoe if I knew what size to get. Afraid to order another pair.

Super comfy but dirt and gravel gets in. These need gaiters.

The shoes are too narrow in the toe box. I wish you would be more consistent in the toe box shape and size amongst your shoes.

The width is perfect! My only issue is the outside ankle part of the shoe runs on the bottom of my ankles. Not a good fit there and causes problems. Can you design them with a lower ankle like the first pair I bought a couple of years ago. I'm back wearing them.

I run and walk in my Topos. I would like a little extra cushioning in the heel as my heels are sometimes sore after. Love the roominess in the toes and my arch feels supported.

I consistently fit into a women's 11 or a men's 9-9.5 in topo shoes. The MT3 in an 11 is WAY too small. No biggie, I just order a pair of 12s. They're ginormous. Apparently the women's 12s don't suffer from the running small issue! My husband has a pair of men's MT3s in a 9.5 that are smaller than the 12s. So if you have big women's feet like me, you may want to just try three men's MT3s. The shoes seem great otherwise! I think I'd love them if there was a size that fit like a normal topo women's 11. The blue and coral color is very pretty. It's a little brighter in person than the photos, which I like.

I liked my older TOPOs better than newer. What's changed?

I like the wide toe box and narrow heel but the shallow toebox causes pressure on my toes. In my most recent 50 K I injured three toenails with the shoes. I wish the toebox was a bit deeper up at the toes.

I hike 2 to 3 miles a day and the shoe on the wider foot is taking a long time to break in. The problem is the facing of the lace area, it is very stiff and irritating. 60 miles in and it is still annoying. They are otherwise comfortable and provide secure footing. I have debated returning them, but will probably keep them. I would probably not buy again. I would recommend them for average or moderately wide feet.

The shoe would probably been comfortable if it had been a half-size larger. I ordered my usual size in athletic shoes, but my toe was hitting the front of the shoe. I returned them and was unable to get a half-size larger so I had to let them go.

I've been a loyal Topo consumer for three years now, typically purchasing about 3-4 pair a year. My feet are finicky. But the problem I'm having with topo is the inconsistency. I purchased three pair of m-2's last year. Needed one more pair.... the fourth pair (same year and model purchased at a different time) killed my feet. They just weren't made the same- I think it might be a slight variation in the arch. This m-3 has the same issue. I can wear them for short periods, but not my typical 15,000 step day.

I love Topos but this shoe felt a full size too small. (I usually go up a 1/2 size in Topos.)

These are nice looking shoes and comfortable but not true to size. I usually wear 9 1/2 and I ordered a 10 1/2 because I wanted to use them for hiking. When I put them on they felt like a 9. My toes were touching the end of the shoe.

MT2 are my favorite shoe, but I always thought they could use a little more cushion. I went through four pairs. I was excited to see the MT3 has more cushioning. These shoes ended up hurting my feet. Ordered the same size I normal do and they were too small and too tight. I switch between road and trail and used these as my road shoes. I did try them out on the trail once. I gave these shoes a try for a month and on a long run got a black toe nail which doesn't happen for me unless I stub my toe. The orange color is more orange/red which I wasn't a fan of. If the shoes fit better I think they would have been great because the cushioning was nice. I already go up half a size and I don't think going up another half is going to solve the problem of being too narrow. I'll still gladly try a newer version of this shoe in the future if Topo has one. Glad I was able to return the shoes.

I was trying to replace an older, wonderful Topo shoe, and this model proved to be too flexible and not supportive enough. It is probably a fine shoe, just not for my feet.

Took me awhile to figure out these were the reason for my foot pain by end of day. No heel padding like on Ultrafly 2 Bring back the 2 's so I can stock up

I've had these for two months and the bottom tread is already wearing down and there are worn spots developing in the heels. They look like I've had them for a year. I wear them to walk 10-13 miles per week on a cement walking path. They are super comfy and my bunions don't hurt as much, but I would expect a shoe at this price point to last longer than 2 months!

I am a weekend walker of neighborhood trails. I loved the fit and look of these shoes, but I've only had them for nine weeks and there are holes in the topline, as if I had freakishly protruding ankle bones rubbing against it. I'm really disappointed.

A friend recommended Topo for their wide toe box. While my neuroma did not flare up thanks to the toe box, I wound up returning these. I experienced cramping in my midfoot still trouble with plantar fasciitis. Also, after two days wearing them, the upper began separating from the sole on the inside of the right foot. Not what I'd hope for in brand new shoes. Luckily, the 30-day trial and customer service made returns easy. Would recommend these for someone else with fewer foot problems!

I've been trying to love these, but they're too stiff for me and maybe make my knee hurt. I love the color and have loved Topos in the past but these are not my best shoes.

I have had these shoes 44 days, but have only started wearing them the last two weeks because of heel pain I am experiencing right not. The positive- they are the only shoe I own right now that my heel and knees don't hurt while wearing. The negative- they are really falling apart!! The sole is separating from the fabric all around, and the sole near the toe area is cracking. I am so disappointed how quickly they are disintegrating!! I am shocked that any shoe would fall apart in two weeks, but especially one that costs this much and is designed for a lot of active use. Unfortunately I will not be buying Topo again.

I wore these around the house for an evening trying to be sure they fit... still didn't work out that way. As soon as I took them out on the trail it was clear that these aren't going to work for my feet. I love the MT-2s, they fit better than anything else I've found, but these are much tighter in the toe box. My big to was getting jarred w/ every step, and it didn't feel like my forefoot could spread out the way it can in the MT-2s. Bummer.

Although I bought the MT-3 some 3 months ago, today's the first day I've taken them out for a short run on light trail. Up to this point, I've been milking my last pair of stockpiled MT-2s for every last mile left in them. The MT-3 is a sad disappointment by comparison. They easily run a half size smaller than their predecessor and quality is lacking. After just 7 miles, the MT-3s are falling apart. The toe tip is already peeling away from the toe box. For reference, I've also included a photo of my MT-2s. 400+ miles logged with this solid pair and the seal on the toe tips are as airtight as on day one. Over the years, I've tried at least 5 different models of Topo shoes. To date, this is the first time I've truly been let down by the brand.
