I heard about this shoe on the Another Mother Runner podcast. I have not been disappointed! I love the wider toe box, soft cushioning, and snug heel fit. I got the bright red which is a super, fun color! I will order these again

This is my 5th pair of Topos. I was wearing the drop 3 which I love. Moved to a drop 0 but after 100 miles felt continued tightness in my hamstrings on longer runs. Bought the Phantoms and so far, after about 40 miles, still feels good on the legs & feet. More cushion in the Phantom than the drop 3 (I prefer less). But overall I'm happy and my feet welcome the change.

I walk daily and I love these shoes. The roomy toe is much better than a lot of other running shoes

I usually run about 35 miles a week and I am 49 years old. I have arthritic knees an an old knee injury. I had been running in Hoka Bondi for the cushion and had been happy until I started getting blisters on my big toe and ball of foot. I heard about the Topos having a larger toe box and after trying them, I am very pleased! I haven't had them but a couple of weeks and my longest run in them so far is 16 miles and I was excited to not have one blister, not even a hot spot!! I saw where someone commented about the laces being short, they are short but they are doable. If you lace your shoes differently, you might have issues. I am excited to see how many miles I will be able to get out of them! Thanks Topo!

I'm a long distance runner and need something that will hold up yet feel secure this is it! I hope this type of shoe continues. I am new to topo and I'm glad I have it a try. I have the fli-lyte2 and I enjoy using those but for shorter distance. Give these shoes and run.

I won't give this shoe a bad review even though it didn't work for me. I ran in them a couple of times and even though they were comfortable, they didn't have enough cushion in the heel. (I'm a heel striker when I run) After my second run which was only about a mile and a half, my right hamstring started to ache. The shoe is very well made and very comfortable, however the lower drop didn't work well for me. Would work better for a mid strike runner. I ended up returning them. If you ever design a more padded heel shoe with a slightly higher drop I will definitely try them again.

Love these shoes. Great support and cushioning right where it needs to be. Plus I love the color!

Finally a running shoe that works for me! Wide toe box allows plenty of room for my bunions, and yet not too wide elsewhere. Very comfortable shoe. Topo -- Please don't ever discontinue this one!

I am a TOPO Ambassador but the reason I am is because they are great shoes. The Phantom is another great addition to my training gear. It is a very cushioned shoe. I like that for longer training runs. It would not be my go to for racing but is a great training shoe. As usual it has the roomy toe box and natural fit. I have not had any issues with rubbing or blisters. I wore them on a fairly long run straight out of the box and had no problems with the way the fit.

Really enjoying this shoe. The cushion on it super soft I don't feel the pavement or the rocks when I run on fire roads. The sizing is comparable. I also wear the Ultraventure trail shoes and the sizing on this is the same. I also really dig the colors. Excited to run more miles in these! I am a Topo Athletic Ambassador but this review is my own opinion.

I'd been running in the Ultrafly 2s and liked them as well but was excited that Topo was coming out with a more cushioned shoe and purchased my Phantoms as soon as they were available. I love them. They are so comfortable (a friend who is trying Topos for the first time and got the Phantoms says that she feels like she is walking on clouds) and have felt great on every run so far. One more thing that I love about Topos in general is that I have never gotten a blister from any pair that I've had. I have always had to tape my heals for the first couple of weeks wearing a new pair of running shoes (regardless of brand) in order to prevent my heals from blistering. With my first pair of Tops I decided to try not taping and got no blisters. I have yet to get a blister with the various pairs that I've had over the years.

This shoes was exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a shoe, with a roomy toe box, some cushion, and a lower heal toe drop. This shoe checked everything off the list!

Did a 12 mile hike with these. Nice to have the vibram soles which did a great job gripping. My feet felt a little more stuffed in the toes than the wider road/running topos. And I was surprised how much fine dirt from the trail made it into my shoes and permeated my socks. Wasn't expecting that.

I have 3 pairs of the original Ultraventure, and they are hands-down the best running shoes I have had in 40 years. My first pair has been retired with well over 500 miles on them. The two additional pairs have 200 & 320 miles and still look and feel almost new. I purchased a pair of Ultraventure 2 and am a little disappointed. They have less than 100 miles and the inside of the heel is already starting to rub a hole. Two friends with the same shoe (and also fans of the prior model) are seeing the same thing. Also, the toe on the new model does not have as much protection for the toes as the original, which had little rubber/plastic strips that were just enough to offer a bit more protection when catching toes on rocks or roots. The cushioning is good.

Honestly, I don't wear shoes most of the year because I live in Florida so I spend most of my time in sandals. However, I have problem feet and need a good pair of athletic shoes when we go on vacation and such and would be in need of a good, supportive shoe. My favorite athletic brand up until now starts with a "H" but they've made some changes to their most cushioned styles that don't agree with my feet anymore. I read about TOPO Athletic on a blog for people with "problem" feet. Recently, I have also been diagnosed with arthritis in my big toe so it's important for me to wear shoes with plenty of wiggle-room for my toes. So far, I really like this pair of shoes but I probably haven't had a chance to wear them long enough at this point to make a really informed recommendation.

After multiple foot surgeries and gait problems these are the best athletic shoes I have found and can rarely wear any other shoes- which is why I would love it if they made some more neutral colors to go with more outfits- please make some skin tone varieties and muted earth tones so I can pair these with ALL my outfits and not just running/athletic wear

I love the wide toe box that allows my feet to expand during long trail runs. Overall they feel great. The one problem I'm having is that they seem to expand within a few miles of running - they had loosened so much, I had to tighten them twice during a 14 mile run.

One pair for my indoor workout shoes at the gym, the second pair for outdoor walking. The most comfortable athletic shoes I've owned. Roomy are upfront for toes and good support all over!

This is my first time trying shoes with a wider ball width. Feels nice to have space for toes to spread out. I do wish the heel was slightly narrower as they are slipping a bit on my left foot. Cushion feels great. I like that Topo offers these in a 5mm drop as I cannot wear 0 drop shoes. The laces are not long enough to lace to the last eyelets. I wish these were offered in black and white (always my preference for athletic shoes).

I already loved the trail shoes, so decided to give the road shoes a try. Love them. Right out of the box, they're great.

Topo has become my go-to running shoe, for road and trail. I would have given it a 5star if I felt the longevity of the cushion was a bit better. This is my second pair and I felt I had to replace a little sooner than I've had to others. Still a great shoe!
