I have just purchased my second pair of these shoes so clearly I do think that Topo have got something good going on here. I am a 59 year old woman weighing in at 120 lbs, I average 25 miles per week on a mix of gravel, single track and asphalt. I am a forefoot striker and supinate so need a neutral shoe. I have taken these shoes out running on all sorts of terrain and in all sorts of weather and I have found them to be reassuringly stable, light, with enough cushion without being mushy. They are a tad heavy when wet. For my new pair I sized up half a size because I do think these run short. I should note I did buy my first pair in person and was advised to size up but I chose not to. Nice room in the toe box so those with neuroma problems, bunions and other foot issues that require space in the toe box should like them. One thing that is odd that happened to my first pair is wear on the back lateral side of both heels, right worse than left (see photo). I have never had this happen with any other running shoe. Don't know what is going on there I certainly didn't have any blistering or other issues because of it but if it turns out to be a common problem it does need to be looked into. So overall a very good shoe which I would recommend.

I don't have wide feet but for my show size I need a wider toe box to avoid numb toes. Zero drop also didn't work for me and caused calf pain. Too much cushion makes me feel like I'm going to twist my ankle. Enter Topo Phantom. They are perfect. Wider toe box equals happy toes while the rest of the shoe fits comfortably and not too loose. The cushion feels great, not too much and not too little. Made it through half marathon training, a very slow half marathon, and still going strong. I have a pair of ultra ventures for trails as well. These will definitely my go to shoe from now on.

Felt a half size short. Typically wear 9.5 in most running shoes and the 10 is working great. These are better than Hoka and Altra for my flat feet. Awesome cushioning with some stability without losing flexibility! New favorite running shoe.

I was excited to try these runners. I have a very wide forefoot and a narrow heel so I thought these would be perfect for me. I love the forefoot and arch. Fits extremely well and is delightfully cushy and supportive. The heel is another matter. While it's the correct width for me, there is excessive fabric and cushioning, especially in the upper bit, which rubs into my upper ankle just walking around the house. I long to try these out for a run, but I don't dare as I won't be able to return them and I'm almost 100% sure that the heel will be a problem. I usually wear a size 9.5 in runners and the 9.5 fit like other brands do for me.

Love the wide toe box and 5 mm drop but needed to order a full size larger than my regular shoes.

I normally treadmil run in the Ultrafly, but decided to add this to my rotation. What a dreamy runner! I always half-size up due to the extra cushion on the hell and the fact that my feet swell easily. This was a perfect call for this shoe as well. My feet feel bouncy and energetic on the treadmil, and the flat laces are a nice touch for extra snug ties shoes. A little extra cushion goes a long way if placed right, and these are a win in my book.

I'm new to Topo Athletic, and very skeptical buying online, but when they came in, I loved them. The cushioning feels great. The width gives my forefoot plenty of room and great support to the forefoot and heel. I originally bought these for road running and for my next half marathon. I normally buy a 1/2 size bigger, which is a 9 for running, however I noticed my big toe almost hits the front tip of my shoe. I love them enough to buy another pair, but I'm sizing another 1/2 size bigger for running. I kept these for work as an OR nurse circulator. I love the cobalt with sea foam accent. Add more colors, please.

My 5th pair of Topos. The other 4 are still rotated daily for running, casual wear and multiple seasons of mowing. They provide stability and cushion.

I bought the trail/hiking style for when we go on moderate hikes in the mountains or to wear on long walks with different terrain. I love the roomy toe box and how the laces can be tightened to hold my foot in place. I tried other brands for hiking and my feet were very uncomfortable. There is no need to "break" these shoes in, they feel great from the start!

I love my new topos. The size I got is perfect with no socks. I think I will go up a 1/2 size and buy another pair to have some to wear in the winter with socks.

I struggled in the past w shoes that quickly became too wide in the last (midfoot), that I couldn't lace them well. These fit perfect as soon as I put them on and have remained a great fit ever since. Thanks So sad that the other pair I was waiting to add to my cart, didn't go up to a 10.5

I love the wide toe box. It allows my feet room to swell when it's hot and humid, and space to stay warm when it's cold!

I love the toe width. It could use a little narrower heel. I probably sent back 50 pairs of sneakers till I found Topo sneakers. My feet hurt. All sneakers have narrow toes no matter what they say. Finally a company that didn't lie. And, you need sandals that accommodate orthotics, like fisherman sandals. Most sandals are not orthotic friendly.

This particular model of Topo I use for road running, walking, and everyday use. This model pairs cushion with the perfect toe box. I use these in conjunction with the Ultaventures for hiking. Across the boards this brand delivers for every activity.

Love these Topos. The toe box is perfect. I have a bunion and these shoes were not an issue straight out of the box. The cushioning is marvelous. I am always on the quest for shoes that are comfortable and when I find ones that work and feel so goodl I get two of them....just purchased a second pair. Thank you!

These shoes are comfortable and are also really supportive. I alternate walking and hiking and they function so well for both. I was pleasantly surprised at how light and breathable they are.

These shoes feel great right off the bat! I had been pretty loyal to the UltraFly 3s and am still alternating between those and my new Phantoms, but am really happy I gave these a try! I am between an 8 and an 8.5 and ordered an 8, which fit me well. I put them on and they felt right - love the toe box and they're still secure through the midfoot and heel. Excited to get some more miles in with them!

I'm 61 and have been running my whole life. I had a herniated disc operation years ago and my back began to hurt after I ran. These have not hurt my back !! I've worn zero drop shoes but these TOPO have a less drop also but are more stable and holds my foot more secure. Larger toe box is so great for my toes. I'm in Florida so it gets hot and feet swell so the toe box keeps my toes from cramming into the end of the shoe.
