Super lightweight and comfortable. Ankle height feels about right and has a great sense of stability. I wouldn't necessarily recommend them for extended off-trail hiking. Although the materials feel high quality, some parts seem like they might be prone to expediated wear if used through bush. Overall, very happy. One thing to note is that when picking online order up at the store, I had to ask for a larger size than the rest of my shoes, as my toes felt a bit cramped. Just a heads up.

Merrels are great and all but I was looking for a new hiking boot that didnt looks like my grandparents; these NF boots are all that they say and more! hiked many trails and miles in these, super comfortable and reliable on the scrabbles

I have hiked on wet, muddy, and snowy (2-3") trails with NO water leak issues. Extremely comfortable. I wear them doing yard work around the house as well. On coarse gravelly trails, I can feel the rocks due to the light weight soles. Due to the lightweight nature of the boot, ankle support is limited. Keep in mind that there are limitations of lightweight boots in general in terms of durability as well. I love these boots.

This hiking shoe is very comfortable and fits right. However it needs some break in. It is breathable and supports my ankle in steep uphill as well as downhill hikes. I have hiked about 100 miles on this shoe so far and it has been nothing but comfortable. It is very light and easy to clean. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a lightweight and comfortable hiking shoes.

These hiking boots are more comfortable than any of my normal shoes. I wore them when climbing Mt. Whitney and my feet felt like they were walking on feathers the entire time. They are so light and cushy, have great grip, and they keep water out well. I highly recommend these boots. Insanely comfortable.

Put this boot to the test right out of the box. Took it on a 20+ mile backpacking trip in the Rockys. First day out with rain and feet remained dry. Next day 12 miles and the shoe felt light and breathable and held up against very rugged terrain. The toe box felt narrow at first but broke in after a few miles. Overall very impressed.

My second pair of North Face hiking boots. Once again, North Face did not disappoint. The technology has evolved making these boots even better. They fit to size and slip-on very easily. When I received the shipment I truthfully thought that the box was either empty or, that North Face had only shipped one boot. They are that light! Very comfortable and I did not have to break them in.

I've taken these boots on 5 or so hikes so far and I've got to say, these things are super comfortable. They breathe well and my feet stay dry. They're lightweight and durable so far. I'm excited to put some real miles on these and see how they hold up. First impression is that I'm going to enjoy these for a long time.

I bought these because I needed a solid hiking shoe for rain or shine conditions. I go out a couple times a week hiking.

I use these babies for work, I walk a lot and I get to be out of the office despite weather conditions. I live in Chicago so rain and snow are always around. Lol

I put on 100+ miles on long hunting trips and need a completely waterproof shoe for the crazy terrain we find. I've had other waterproof boots, but none of them have been as light or comfortable as these!

Took these for a hike after an ice storm. The traction was great kept me stable on a slippery trail even with a 50lb dog pulling me. Felt half as light as any other mid hiker I've worn. Stepped in some slush puddles for good measure, came out bone dry! These breathe really well so I'm looking forward to wearing them all spring and summer.

Love these. Fast foam gives a great cushion and makes you feel like you can hike right out of the box. I've worn them for roughly a week now and they continue to feel great, no hot spots and I've even walked through some snow with no wetness getting through. The FutureLight seems to be more breathable but the true test will come in Summer. Great boot highly recommend!

So overall a great mid-height boot. Fairly lightweight and comfortable. The two issues I have with this shoe are why I didn't give it 5 stars. First issue, the laces below the speed hooks don't stay tight when lacing up the shoe. As soon as you take pressure off the laces to route the shoelaces through the speed hooks, the laces loosen by the instep. Very annoying Second issue. the speed hooks are not spaced apart very well. Even after a month, it is still difficult to quickly lace up these boots. I often get the lace caught across both speed hooks on the same side when I am trying to only grab one speed hook. Takes considerably longer to lace these shoes up than my prior hiking boots from a competitor. As long as these hold up for 2 years, I will be satisfied, and it would be nice if TNF designers can fix these issues to make the shoe better in the next iteration.

So far these lightweight mid top shoes have done well. Hopefully the do well when I hike more next spring. That said, my delivery took 3 weeks, and I'll never again order online. Unless, my order ships via ups or FedEx. Laser ship is a complete joke!
