These are way too wide in the heel. My feet keep slipping out.

Based on other reviews I sized down. It's not that the shoe is too big, it's the collar/ankle; it's much larger than other Merrell Mocs, which are often so tight around this part that I could hardly get all my toes in! So, this one fits EXACTLY right with the thinnest of socks. and yet it's too loose in the heel to stay on comfortably. CAN'T MERRELL DESIGN A SHOE FOR REAL FEET ANYMORE?!?!?!

I was excited about these shoes because I am trying to break out of sneakers and tights to dress a little better. I still lead an active life but no longer work full-time in fitness. I have a dog who takes long walks in town and in adjacent open space. Zappos recommended size 8.5. I ordered both 8.5 and 9. The 8.5 was uncomfortably tight, which isn’t surprising. I rarely wear that size and I removed them within 2 minutes. The 9 fit fine. However, I recently became an over pronator after years of rolling in. These shoes aren’t really neutral and put immense pressure on the outer edge of my foot. Over the last few months, I’ve found Merrell to have this problem consistently. I’ve decided to return both pair and not to buy any more Merrell products. Now can someone suggest a shoe that has some style (not a sneaker) for over pronators?

I loved the shoe but my toe was all the way to the end and felt a little uncomfortable. I will send these back for a half size larger. The reviews I read before ordering said they were larger so I order smaller but will just order normal size from now on.

Ordered these shoes for my mother so she could slip them on instead of having to bend to tie laces. She loves the style and feel, but unfortunately they are very large. Using the Zappos find your fit calculator, we ordered size 10.5 (same size she wears in New Balance and Keen), but that first pair was way too big. We reordered size 10 and it too is much too large. She can easily fit her finger inside the heel while she has it onto they too are going back. We're going to try 9.5 since she likes them so much. Crossing my fingers.

Originally, I ordered a 7.5, but it was too long, so I settled on size 7, so this particular shoe runs a bit large. Overall, they are very comfortable and the arch support seems quite good. They are a bit dowdy, but at my age, I go for comfort vs. style and speed!

There is no consistency between different styles of Merrell shoes. In an 8 ½ wide, these are comparable to a Size 9 in a different style Merrell shoe. Also, what the soles are made of has become hard as a rock. Cushioning is way less. I'm disappointed.

This slipped off my foot and was too big around my ankle. I really like the look of these for my casual work environment. Sizing down would not help, they're just too wide from where your foot enters all the way to the back.

I have a high arch, so I wish the arch support was better.

I appreciate these shoes, however, the heel doesn't hold my foot stable.

It took me 3 pairs to finally get the right size. I usually wear a 9 in Brooks tennis shoes. I ordered an 8.5 w because I have bunions. They were extremely too big. I then ordered an 8 w and a 8.5 m. The 8s were still too big. The 8.5s are still a little big, but they will work. I have inserts and they fit fine in the shoes.
