There is a small tear on top of shoe and i have not worn them a lot. You would think the quality would be better. You would think it would not tear where it did. So disappointed since i love the color and fit. Not sure if i should ask to exchange or not for a new pair.

I have always gravitated to the guides . Over the last 8-9 years I would look at and try out all the other new shoes on the market but always went with the guides.
Almost 2yrs years ago I was brought out the guide iso1 and told the newest comfort in the market. I wasn't happy with the change but after 1 run I was hooked. Then the iso 2 came out and was just as happy. I felt my foot found a perfect match. The way the shoe just fits around my foot even before it is laced up !!!!
Fast forward to the guide 13 . I "assumed" a step up but feel like I upgraded to the Porsche with the iso and now am settling for the Hyundai. The step back will lead me to be open to other brands as I usually purchase 3 pairs a year.

I purchased this Guide 13 Wide and the Ride ISO 2 Wide. Both, the same size and width. These were returned because the fit was too tight. Runs narrower than regular wide widths.

I've been wearing Saucony's for the last 5 years. This pair was not up to snuff from a quality standpoint. The materials, especially around the toe and the heal area inside the shoe started breaking apart within a matter of just two months. Switching to Brooks and will give that brand a try.

I've worn these only once for a run. I can't wear them. I have flat feet and need something with a little stability and comfort when I run. But these are so painful not only in my arches, but my shins and other areas going all the way up though my legs. To the point where it leaves me slightly nauseous and carry-over pain the next day. I read so many reviews and thought I would give these a try. But after only wearing them once, it's a costly pair of shoes that will just sit in my closet. Really bummed. My wife and I own multiple pairs of Sauconys, but these completely were a miss. A costly miss.

I've run in ~7-8 generations of Guide shoes and never had any issues until this one. Every single run, the tongue will steadily slip pretty significantly off center making it super uncomfortable (and likely terrible for my feet) even after only a mile or two. This requires me to stop many times through my runs to adjust it back into place. I don't know how anyone actually puts miles on these shoes and how this design even made it through the testing process. It's so bad that I've essentially stopped running in these shoes and need to look into buying a different model or previous generation.
The shoe itself is fine otherwise regarding quality and style (in line with previous generations of Guides that I've had) but this flaw with the tongue cannot allow me to recommend it for others who are putting significant miles on it.

The internal toe guard has slightly delaminated (manufacturing defect), and now it is rubbing against my toe. Utterly painful during long runs. Going to return these shoes.

I run in the mountains of Colorado and this shoe hurts the top of my feet and causes blisters on the outer underside of my pinky toe. The tongue of the shoe isn't engineered/designed properly, so it falls off to the outside of the shoe--causing discomfort and asymmetry to the inside of the shoe. I feel like I'm coming out of the back end of the shoe when I run up hill, and in general, it feels like I'm always sloshing around in the rear bottom section even though the front is too tight/narrow. Simply a disappointing shoe all around.

Shoes did not last a year with light use. Fabric around ankle came apart. Best Boulder running store could say is yea this always happens, buy tent tape and try it but they never last.
