I have run mainly in Sauconys for many years. Not because I am dogmatic about buying only Sauconys. I would buy a better shoe if I could find one. But I can't find one.
For many years I ran in a Saucony Stabil and that was a good shoe, but this is significantly better.
The Guide 13 is the most comfortable Saucony yet. Not only is it comfortable for a stability shoe, it is comfortable for any kind of shoe. The upper wraps around your foot like a glove. I've never experienced that before.
Here's something important: If you have an orthotic insert--mine is a hard plastic Aline insert, slightly customized for me by a physical therapist--you may need to remove not just the loose Saucony insole, but also the layer below that, which is glued in.
So far I have been running in my Guide 13's with just the loose Saucony insert removed to make room for my Aline orthotic, but my toe box is now a little tight, and my heel rides a little high in the back of the shoe. So I am about to try removing the glued-in layer, to make a little more space for my orthotic.
I have some trepidation about doing this, but I think it will be OK. From what I have read in another review of Saucony shoes, Saucony actually seems to have designed their shoes to have two insoles--the loose insole that pulls out, and the glued insole that rips out--as a feature that makes the shoes more amenable to taking an orthotic. That's clever of them, because I think a lot of amateur runners use orthotics.

The Guide 13 offers me the stability I want as I hit the terrain, usually flat dirt side roads offering nice runs with gentle grades. Well built and durable, these are just great running shoes. Thank you.

I've had these shoes for about 3 weeks. They shoes provide great comfort and support. I wear them to work where I'm in my feet for 6-8hrs daily. Great shoes for running as well.

trying to keep same model shoe that I love and this one is the latest iteration. Seems like it's the same as a last one.

I have run in Guides since series 6, got my fastest (sub 3) marathon times in them and always felt that this is an exceptionally well made shoe that brings support and responsiveness together. This version is no exception to the great fit and cushioning I am used to. I took them out of the box and ran a little over 13 miles in them. They felt comfortable and responsive form mile 1 on. I love how the shoe hugs my heels and how stable and the same time light it feels. The heel cushion--is that a bit softer? Even if--it's a speedy shoe despite its label "stability". My only gripe is (well, it's more my daughter's) that Saucony could freshen up the colors in the men's line a little.
Overall, I highly recommend this shoe.

This is my first time purchasing Saucony running shoes and they are by far the best pair of runners I've ever had. They have the perfect of amount of stability, while also providing just the right amount of cushioning. I'm running further and my feet (and joints) are feeling fresher than ever! I feel so lucky that I've finally found THE SHOE! Oh, they're also super stylish and look good with jeans-not at all Seinfeldesque-.

I've never worn a stability shoe before, but the new exterior on these was too much to turn down. It's a solid shoe. Sturdy. My knock is that there's not really any bounce to them, but that would seem to come with the territory of a stability shoe. They're very comfortable, hold up great on long runs, and they are quite stylish. I'm probably more of a Ride series or Kinvara guy at the end of the day, but if you are a consistent stability shoe person, this is an awesome option.

I've been buying the Guide series for years, but the last version that didn't hurt my feet was the Guide 10. The Guide 9 was perfect. Finally, Saucony got it right again. I celebrated by ordering a second pair.
The Guide 11 & 12 had a slightly narrower fit. (I wear a 13 Normal-width shoe.) I tried a Wide version, but my heels wouldn't stay in them.
I like the looks of this shoe too, especially in Black & White.

I was looking for a supportive, comfortable, but not heavy or clunky road shoe. The Guide 13 is the STUFF! This is an incredibly comfortable running shoe, by far my favorite and I've owned a TON of running sneakers over the years. I'd highly recommend this shoe for someone looking for mild support, great comfort and a fairly plush ride. I've run in mine everyday for almost 2 months, everything from speed work at the local track to some longer efforts. They've been great for all of it!

For the first time I went through Saucony's Shoe Advisor and paid attention to the results. When I followed through it said the right shoe for me was the Guide 13. Cushioning and stability. And this is exactly what the shoe gives. Even the collar of this shoe is heavily cushioned. The stride feels great and my feet and legs are grateful that I went this way. However, stylistically these shoes are a little tame for my taste. It seemed the three colors available were all very reserved. So, I hope that Saucony gets the message that those of us that aren't speedsters still like a little flashy style in our step. (Like the Kinvara 11). However, as for the fundamentals of this shoe, it's great; and great for me.

Great running shoe! The updates from the previous models are appreciated. Fit is true to size. The shoe is extremely comfortable to run in for short, or longer runs. I Plan on wearing this shoe on my next 1/2 marathon. The only improvement I would ask to be made is attach the tongue on the sides but this is a minor issue. The tongue does seem to stay in place during runs.

I have been buying the Guide for many years and love the stability and cushioning while I walk and run. I normally buy up 1/2 size from the normal Guide shoe size.

The Guide 13 has an incredible fit that not only provides support but also gives the perfect amount of cushion. The energy return in them is also nice; just enough to get you through some comfortable longer runs. They quality of the shoes are great, and they have held up over the countless miles that I've run in them.

I have a total of three pair of Saucony trainers. The Guide 13 I wear for casual walking (4 mile per day). Incredibly comfortable with great support. Saucony run true to size. My foot measures 10.75". Size 11 fits perfectly. I wear orthotics, which fit great; Saucony foot pads slip out easily for the switch.

Normally wear a shoe with an air cushioned heel, but couldn't find my regular brand. After browsing the internet, I decided to try the Guide 13. After 2 weeks running, I'm getting used to the lack of an air cushioned heel, but I'm finding these shoes to be very comfortable. I've changed my gait a bit due to the different construction, but nothing I can't manage. This shoe is well-constructed, looks great, and provides great support. Money well spent.

As a runner who has flat feet since birth, finding a running shoe that provides enough room and support is priority. These fit the bill perfectly. Went for the wide size and they feel amazing. I run mainly on sidewalks (RIP my knees), but these provide enough impact absorption and cushioning that the hard surfaces don't bother me anymore. Will definitely be sticking with this model as long as Saucony keeps producing them!
