I wanted to love these. Long ago, I used to wear a pair of the original Encores, back when the mesh was open and airy. These are quite different and after only a few minutes of wearing them, my feet were hot. I wear 7 1/2 wide in Merrells. Ordered the black in that size, which was way too large. Ordered the blue in medium width which fits better, but my feet still slip out of them. Also, the stitching on the inside label is scratchy. Darn. I will be returning them.

These have been my go-to for warm weather but, unfortunately they felt about a half size too short. Will try another size.

I’ve bought these shoes in every color for years but the quality this year has gone down. The price certainly didn’t!

This would have been my second pair, but these are too big; they’re the same size on each tag, but almost half inch longer!

Have a pair of shoes in this same style ordered a while ago and liked them. Ordered the same size and too tight.

Have had lots of Merrells.....these feel bigger than normal....just too loose to keep...sorry!

Fit great if remove foot liner. Otherwise my heel is raised too high. Will order next half size larger. Star ratings not meaningful as have not yet worn,

Hard to really tell about arch support...just way too big.

Have always liked the Merrell brand. Really like this style. For some reason, this was not sized right for me. Will exchange.

My old Merrell Encore shoes are still good but the backs are wearing out, so I thought I would give these a try. I agree with the reviewers who warned of the changes. These are bigger and do not have as much arch support. Returning.

This shoe fits well, but it has two downsides: it smells terrible and it makes a whooshing sound with every step. I like silent shoes.

These are really cute and comfortable, but I have a high instep and these were just too tight and I didn't feel they would stretch- or that I could handle the discomfort to get them to stretch. Bummer. Otherwise, these would have been great. Thanks Zappos!

My mother has worn the Breeze for years. She had lots of different colors/materials- it was the ONLY shoes she wore year round. She has bad knees and these are the only shoes she felt comfortable walking in for any length of time. I ordered the Merrell Breeze 4- and she says the heel is completely different and uncomfortable. She had me return them, as says she doesn't want any more Merrells because of the design change. Not sure why you would change the design of a comfort shoe- with so many devoted fans. Unfortunately, you lost one of you biggest fans because of it and now I have to find her a new favorite.

They changed the front top toe support in the fabric so wrinkles up on top. Use to love these.
