Love the arch support, comfortable enough to go hiking all day long.

The Moab 2 mid waterproof wide width is a very comfortable shoe. I have turf toe and can no longer wear tennis shoes without causing pain when walking. This shoe is really comfortable on my feet and enables me to walk without pain.

I've had my boots about 2 years now and the only problem I've had are the laces are starting to fray apart. I've used them in a variety of places from work to using them in tactical situations. The tread has held up pretty good so far. The waterproofing on the boots is amazing. Would definitely buy again.

My husband has a very wide foot so he was quite surprised that these were comfortable. These were primarily purchased for a vacation in Ireland. Since it's pouring rain today and he works outdoors, he decided to wear them to keep his feet dry. I'm waiting to see how they held up.

I have had these boots for about 2 years and have hiked all over the west and also the east coast. The boots were comfortable right out of the box-no break in required. They have held up well, no wear noticeable anywhere-the quality is first rate. The only downside? On our latest foray on the Appalachian Trail we hiked in heavy rain for a day and I discovered the boots are not waterproof. Sooo, I ordered the Merrell waterproofing spray for these boots and ordered a pair of Moab 2 mid Gore-Tex boots. Stay tuned, I'll let you know how they do. I love these boots!

This light hiker is comfortable, although it doesn't offer much more support than a low-cut model.

I really like the boots my only thought is they are a little narrow in the heel.
All the women love the look though

I purchased these to replace an earlier model of same shoe. These are similar but with slight differences. The fabric lace loops are narrower , the old pairs fabric loops wore out and I had a cobbler replace them with metal loops. May need to do same with these.
The shoes are sized as mentioned. My feet can breathe well without sweating, good thing.
Stability is good with decent arch support for people with standard arches.
The shoes look good and has multiple color choices.
The shoes protect the soles of feet during regular walks on Semi to tough terrain with light to no pack. We have had no rain so unknown about wet protection, yet.

Bought these for landscaping, mainly lawn crew. I use a name brand boot for mason work, but they are too heavy for lawn work. Both share that grey strip in the sole though, it's like memory foam, it really contours to your foot, comfort to the max. I average about 6 miles a day in my boots, and after probably 70 miles, I'm very satisfied with comfort. They are light and get decent traction too, I never feel very unsure of my footing, which is important to me. Build quality seems fantastic too. With my job leaning more toward lawn crew, I'll probably pick up a second pair to allow one to air out while I wear the other.
The only problem is the same I found with every other membrane shoe I ever owned, I have to spray them down with silicone to stay dry. Every morning I walk across wet grass and my toes get wet without a spray. With a silicone spray, I get about a week to 10 days between applications, which is respectable, but i don't rely on these fancy membranes, I've never seen one work. I'd love to be proven wrong, but this is my experience. I might buy the brand name gore Tex version next, maybe I can get up to 3 weeks between spray applications.

I have gotten a couple of hikes in. The boots fit well and didn't seem to need a break-in. They are repelling water so far with all the rain in the north east something I was looking for. Good traction so far some mud sticks in the tread , a thump when dry clears the mud.

Third pair in last yr of Merrill's I bought all boots but this pair seems tight in width. Great looking, but laces are also shorter on this pair

Bought these for my dad. I was a little hesitant at first because he does require wider shoes but we never had much luck with getting what we want.
He loves these! Boots were indeed wide width, size fit him perfectly, they are comfortable and light. The bottoms of the boots also look like they have good traction. We are looking forward to our next hiking adventure!

I love how comfortable these boots are, and my feet do not hurt at the end of the day from being on 12-14 hrs. However the waterproof part not at all, if it rains I can feel the water squish between my toes. I went with Merrill so I can have dry feet without having to go to a full on boot. If they were waterproof like they said they were they would be perfect.

I love the feel of this mid hiker. I wear it around town, school, and especially outdoors. The heel and arch support is awesome and well fitted to my feet. The traction is amazing on all materials, dry or wet. I am a sixteen year old Eagle Scout and wear these constantly around camp. The only complaint I have is that around the toe bed water will leek in. My socks will end up damp after walking through wet grass. Other than that I love these boots and recommend them to everyone.

When I tried these on the store, they were the only pair of hiking boots among 10 or so different brands and models I tried that truly felt comfortable and immediately had a great fit. I wore them around the house several days, then decided to give them the water hose test along the sides to see if they are truly waterproof. With my hose water coming out at medium pressure, I started to feel water from the hose on my sock and foot with in about 30 seconds. I went ahead and took them hiking for the weekend on some nice light hikes on mountain biking trails. Aside from not being waterproof, these shoes performed admirably. As I use my hiking boots as snow boots when the occasion arises, waterproof Ness is a nonnegotiable, especially as these are premium shoes. As other of years have stated, I might try the Gore-Tex version of issue for true waterproofness.

The boots fit great, they are comfortable, and lightweight. Waterproofing is a must for me, and these keep my feet dry, while letting them breath. Will be ordering another pair to have on hand when these wear out. Would recommend this boot to anyone.

I do alot of property inspections and I needed a light weight shoe for dirt and pavement. The MOAB was exactly what I wanted in a shoe. It handles the mud and puddles while giving me comfort on the pavement. I recommend these for not only hiking but urban adventures.

found that the shoe rubs a blister on my right little toe after 4-5 hours of wear as I felt that the shoes were worn too much to return I am thinking that in time they might loosen or break in a bit it is not a big blister but makes wearing them uncomfortable for a day of out side

This is my second pair of Merrell hiking boots.... in 10 years! I literally wore out my previous pair over hundreds of miles because they were as comfortable as my favorite jeans.
As for this pair, so far so good. They're equally comfy and fit as nicely as my old favs. I've only had them for a couple of weeks, so they haven't been tested on anything more than a couple of easy, dry hikes with a light backpack. Those two hikes totaled only about 8 miles. I sure hope these become my next favorite light hikers with many years and miles of adventure.

I decided to try these on the other day because I really liked how they looked and well, they felt even better. The problem was moisture getting into the shoe. I was walking the dog in a slightly muddy and wet field and I could start to feel my feet getting wet. With previous hiking boots I could stand in a creek and have dry feet. I discovered online that they aren't really waterproof even though they do say "Dry" on them. I was able to return them to the store and get a fully waterproof hiking boot. That being said if you just want a good day to day shoe these are super comfy. This is why I still have the boots 4 stars. If Merrell does this shoe fully waterproof at some point I will switch over to their shoes.

Bought this boot about 3 years ago. Climbed fourteeners in Colorado with them and slopped around the yard in Michigan. Great fit. Nice to walk in.. The waterproofing broke down after two years. I believe in this model the stitching goes through the waterproofing. I would upgrade to the GoreTex membrane on the next waterproof boot. Otherwise great fitting and comfortable boot.
